To activate a Standard Chartered credit card in Pakistan, call 111 002 002 from one of the phone numbers registered with the bank. You pay the bill in cash at a branch, by cheque through the post or a drop box, by Auto Debit, by telegraphic transfer, or through Online Banking. Cash withdrawals are capped at 30 per cent of your limit. Below are the activation and payment steps, the cash and minimum payment rules, the current card line-up, and what to do when something goes wrong.

We read Standard Chartered Pakistan's help FAQs, its credit cards page and its SC Mobile page on 25 October 2026.

Activation takes one call to 111 002 002 from a registered number

Standard Chartered's FAQs say to activate a new credit card by calling the Contact Centre on 111 002 002 from a phone number registered with the bank, office or home. The FAQ gives this same method for the Titanium and Platinum cards.

So a call from a new SIM that the bank does not have on file will not meet that rule. If your registered number has changed, update it first through a branch. The bank's FAQ says address and detail changes go through a customer static data change form at any branch.

  1. Check the card arrived sealed and sign the back.
  2. Call 111 002 002 from your registered office or home number.
  3. Answer the security questions and ask for activation.
  4. Set or collect your PIN as the agent directs.
  5. Make a small purchase to confirm the card works.
Steps to activate a Standard Chartered credit card in Pakistan

The bill can be paid five ways

Standard Chartered lists cash at any of its branches, a cheque, pay order or draft by post or drop box, Auto Debit from your Standard Chartered account, telegraphic transfer, and Online Banking. Cheques go to "Standard Chartered Bank, Credit Cards" with your name and card number on the back.

Paying from another bank's app usually means an interbank transfer. Standard Chartered's FAQs call it telegraphic transfer, which is older wording, and the money counts only once it reaches the card account. Pay a few days early. The rules on how early your statement must arrive are in credit card bill rights.

Ways to pay a Standard Chartered credit card bill in Pakistan

You can pay as little as 5 per cent, but the rest attracts a monthly charge

Standard Chartered's FAQ says you can pay the full balance or as little as 5 per cent of it each month, with up to 51 free credit days if you clear the whole amount by the due date. The FAQ quotes a financial charge of 3.25 per cent a month.

That 3.25 per cent figure sits in an FAQ section for Visa Gold and Classic cards, which no longer appear on the bank's current credit cards page. Treat it as a guide and check your own Key Fact Statement for today's rate. For comparison, the bank's current page says the Corporate Card carries markup of up to 46 per cent a year.

Easy Credit works differently. Its FAQ says the minimum is 1 per cent of the principal plus all fees and charges. Full payment avoids all of this.

Cash withdrawals are capped at 30 per cent of the limit and carry a fee

On standard cards you can take cash up to 30 per cent of your credit limit, so Rs 30,000 on a Rs 100,000 limit. The Titanium FAQ puts the cash advance fee at Rs 1,000 or 3 per cent, whichever is higher. Easy Credit allows up to 90 per cent.

Statement errorsReport within 7 or 14 days, by cardReport within 7 days

Note the statement window. Some sections of the FAQ give 7 days to report an error and others give 14 days from receiving the statement. Report within 7 days to be safe. A charge you did not make is handled as a dispute, covered in disputing a credit card charge.

Standard Chartered credit card cash limit and fee rules in Pakistan

Standard Chartered offers six credit cards in Pakistan

The current credit cards page lists the Mastercard Titanium, Mastercard Platinum, Mastercard World, Saadiq Mastercard Platinum, Easy Credit and a Corporate Card. Personal cards need a monthly income above Rs 50,000, and an age of 21 if salaried or 25 if self-employed.

  • Titanium: cashback on groceries, fuel and electronics, up to Rs 500 a month as the cards page puts it.
  • Platinum: 1 reward point per Rs 40 spent, and access to 25+ airport lounges abroad.
  • World: 1 mile per Rs 40, and access to 1,000+ lounges abroad.
  • Saadiq Platinum: the Islamic card, with 5% cashback on dining, groceries and online shopping.
  • Easy Credit: a credit line with a cheque book, up to 90% as cash.

The Titanium cashback is described two ways. The cards page says up to Rs 500 a month. The FAQ says Rs 500 per category, fuel, supermarkets and electronics, with an overall cap of Rs 1,000 a month. Ask the bank which applies to your card. Lounge cards from other banks are compared in cards that give free lounge access.

Lost cards, SC Mobile and cancelling

Report a lost or stolen card at once on 111 002 002, which runs 24 hours. Queries can also go to ask.us@sc.com. To cancel a card, the FAQ says cut it in half and send both halves to the bank's Customer Service Unit or a branch drop box.

For app access, SC Mobile now needs Android 9 or iOS 14 and above. Standard Chartered says that since 9 September 2025 older phones are not supported, and internet banking logins must be approved in SC Mobile, so an old phone locks you out of both. Never give your card number, PIN or OTP to a caller.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 25 October 2026. Activation, payment methods, cash limits and fees, minimum payment, statement windows, lost card and cancellation steps come from Standard Chartered Pakistan's help FAQs. The card line-up, eligibility and Corporate Card markup come from its credit cards page, and the phone requirement from its SC Mobile page, all read on 25 October 2026. Parts of the FAQ cover cards that are no longer listed, so rates there may be dated. We did not apply for or activate a card. The five activation steps are a general outline built around the bank's one instruction to call.
