How to Book the Takamol Skill Test for Saudi Jobs in Pakistan: USD 85
Book the Takamol skill test for Saudi jobs in Pakistan. NAVTTC lists USD 85 from 9 September 2026. See the 7 portal steps, documents, result time and helpline.

To work in certain trades in Saudi Arabia, you must pass the Takamol skill test first. Register on the SVP portal at svp-international.pacc.sa with your passport and CNIC, pick a trade, city and date, and pay USD 85. NAVTTC's page lists this fee as effective from 9 September 2026.
Many workers still repeat an older, much lower fee. That is the first thing to fix before you pay anyone. This guide follows the seven steps on NAVTTC's own Takamol page, which we read on 8 October 2026, and flags what we could not confirm.
Check first whether your trade needs the test
The test is mandatory only for trades that Saudi Takamol has notified. NAVTTC says Takamol provides skill assessment only. It is not a training provider and it is not a job provider, so nobody can sell you a job through it.
The page lists 108 approved trades in 13 occupation groups. Examples are building electrician, plumber, construction worker, scaffold labourer, truck driver, bus driver, car or taxi driver, warehouse worker, kitchen worker and hospital cleaner. Mechanical has the longest list, with 28 trades.
Ask your employer or recruiter for the exact trade name on your Saudi visa. Then pick the same name on the portal. A wrong trade means a wasted fee, so match the spelling and the group.
Register on the SVP portal in seven steps
The whole process is online. You create a profile, choose where and when to sit the test, pay the fee, print the slip and attend. The centre is allotted by the system, so you do not choose a favourite institute.
- Create a profile on the SVP portal with your valid passport and personal details.
- Select the trade, the assessment city and an available date.
- Pay the fee online.
- Download the appointment slip, which works as your roll number slip.
- Note the test centre the system gives you, usually the nearest approved one.
- Go to the centre on the date with your original documents.
- Collect the certificate from the portal after you pass.

If you plan to travel, also read the guide to applying for a Saudi visa so the test fits your visa timeline.
Pay USD 85 and keep the receipt
The fee on NAVTTC's page is USD 85 per test, paid online on the SVP portal. The page gives about Rs 23,500 to Rs 24,500 as the rupee value, and says it depends on the exchange rate on the day you pay.
| Item | What NAVTTC's page says |
|---|---|
| Test fee | USD 85 per test, effective 9 September 2026 |
| Rupee value | About Rs 23,500 to Rs 24,500, subject to the exchange rate |
| Documents | Valid Pakistani passport and CNIC |
| Result | Certificate uploaded to the portal within 24 hours if you pass |
| Helpline | 0800-88866, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm |

You may still see an older fee of Rs 4,000 plus 25 dollars for the certificate in public posts. We did not find it on the current page, so treat it as out of date. Pay only on the portal. Never pay an agent in cash to "arrange" a slot.
Attend the test with the right documents
NAVTTC lists only two required documents, the valid passport and the CNIC. Take the originals and the printed or saved appointment slip. The system allots the nearest approved test centre, so check the address the day before.
The page says there are 62 test centres, of which 44 are currently active, in cities such as Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Multan. Reach the centre early, because late arrival can cost you the slot and you would pay again.
The page reports an 80 per cent overall pass rate for tests from the start of the programme to 30 June 2026. That is a good sign, but practise your trade work before the day. The curriculum and test pattern are set by Takamol, not by NAVTTC.
Avoid agents who sell certificates or slots
A genuine certificate appears on your own portal account after you pass. No one can issue it for a fee outside that system. Anyone offering a "guaranteed pass" or a ready certificate is a fraud risk, and a fake certificate can cancel your visa.
Check any recruiter before you pay. Our guide to checking an overseas job agency shows how, and the guide on the agent fee limit explains what a licensed agent may charge. For emigration paperwork, see the Protector of Emigrants guide.
Common questions about the Takamol skill test
Who has to take the Takamol test?
Only workers in trades notified by Saudi Takamol. NAVTTC says verification is not needed for every job. Ask your employer which trade is on your visa, then check it against the portal list.
How much does the Takamol test cost in 2026?
NAVTTC's page gives USD 85 per test, effective 9 September 2026, which it puts at about Rs 23,500 to Rs 24,500. The rupee amount changes with the exchange rate.
Which documents do I need?
A valid Pakistani passport and your CNIC. The page asks for no other supporting papers. Take the originals and your appointment slip to the centre.
How soon do I get the certificate?
The page says it is uploaded to your SVP portal account within 24 hours if you pass. Log in and download it, and keep a copy for your recruiter and visa file.
Who do I call if the portal fails?
Call NAVTTC on 0800-88866, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, or write to gmtakamol@navttc.gov.pk. NAVTTC onboards the test centres and handles complaints.
Does passing guarantee a Saudi job?
No. Takamol only checks skill. You still need a real employer, a visa and legal emigration formalities. Our guide to applying for overseas jobs covers the next steps.
