How to Apply for a Saudi Visa From Pakistan and Check It

Most Saudi visas for Pakistanis start on the Saudi foreign ministry's visa platform, visa.mofa.gov.sa. A relative, friend, company or employer in Saudi Arabia usually makes the request there, and the visa is then issued to you. You can check any Saudi visa on the same platform with its application number or visa number. A work visa also needs a GCC medical test and the Protector of Emigrants stamp in Pakistan before you fly.

We opened visa.mofa.gov.sa on 22 September 2026 and read its list of services. The platform's own clock showed 22/09/2026, so the list below is current. We also tried the Saudi tourist eVisa site, and it refused us. We found no visa fee on any official page we could read, so we quote none.

Which Saudi visa you need

For most Saudi visas, the request comes from inside Saudi Arabia. That is the first thing to understand. The platform lists these visitor services, among others:

The platform describes the personal visit as a visit to friends or people with no business or family link. It also lists event visits, visa printing, and a service to confirm that your medical certificate has been issued by the medical centre.

A banner on the platform on 22 September 2026 said a trial version of a new site, "KSA VISA" at ksavisa.sa, had been launched. The old platform still worked the same day.

How to apply for a Saudi visit visa from Pakistan

1. Ask your host to start the request. Your relative, friend or company in Saudi Arabia submits the family, personal or business visit request on visa.mofa.gov.sa, using your passport details.
2. Get the application number from them. This is the number you will use to check the visa. Do not accept a visa without one.
3. Complete the steps sent to you. Fill in your part of the application and pay only the fee shown on the official screen. Keep every receipt.
4. Print the e-visa. The platform has a "print electronic visa" service once it is issued.
5. Check it before you book a flight. Use the inquiry box on the same platform, described below.

For Umrah, the route is different. It runs through Saudi Arabia's Nusuk system and licensed Umrah companies, and Saudi Arabia has recently added a mandatory Umrah food voucher to the visa bill for Pakistani pilgrims.

Check a Saudi visa on the official platform

The home page of visa.mofa.gov.sa has an inquiry box for applications already submitted. On 22 September 2026 it let you search by any of three numbers:

• the application number,
• the visa document number, or
• the visa application number,

together with a picture code. The page is in Arabic by default, with an English button at the top. If a visa an agent hands you does not show up here under your name and passport, do not travel on it.

How a Saudi work visa works for a Pakistani

A Saudi employer owns the work visa. The platform lists a service that lets an employer "authorise a recruitment office" to deal with the Saudi mission and use the employer's work visas. So a Pakistani agency that is processing your visa should be acting on a written authorisation from a real Saudi employer.

1. The employer issues the visa and authorises a recruitment office.
2. You check the recruitment office is licensed by Pakistan's Bureau of Emigration.
3. You take a medical test at a GCC approved centre. Wafid, at wafid.com, is the booking system for people seeking work or residence in the Gulf states. The Saudi platform then lets you confirm that your medical certificate has been issued.
4. You register with the Protector of Emigrants in Pakistan, sign the employment agreement, and get the protector stamp.

Do not skip the Protector step to save time. It is what makes your contract enforceable, and it is how you can complain if the job turns out to be different from what was promised.

The Saudi tourist eVisa is not confirmed for Pakistanis

We could not confirm this on an official page. On 22 September 2026, visa.visitsaudi.com, the tourist eVisa site, returned a notice saying it could not be reached from an outside network. The visa rules page on visitsaudi.com loads only in a browser and gave us no readable text.

What is reported, by visa guides we could not check against the source, is that Pakistan is not on the list of countries that can get the tourist eVisa on nationality alone. Pakistanis who hold a valid US, UK or Schengen visa, or residence in one of those places or in a Gulf state, are reported to qualify. Check the eVisa site yourself before you pay anyone for it.

Warning signs of a fake Saudi visa

• You are told a "free visa" lets you work for anyone. A work visa belongs to one named employer.
• The agency will not show its Bureau of Emigration licence, or the number is not active.
• You are asked to leave without the Protector stamp, or to travel on a visit visa and "convert it later".
• The visa does not appear on visa.mofa.gov.sa under your details.
• You are asked to pay into a personal account, or to hand over your original passport without a receipt.

Common questions

How much is a Saudi visa fee for Pakistanis?

We did not find a fee on any official page we could read on 22 September 2026, so we do not quote one. Figures on agent websites are their own and may include their service charges. Pay only the amount shown on the official screen and get a receipt for anything else.

Can I apply for a Saudi visit visa myself?

For family, personal and business visits, the request is made by your host in Saudi Arabia on visa.mofa.gov.sa. You then complete the steps sent to you.

How do I check my Saudi visa online?

Open visa.mofa.gov.sa and use the inquiry box with your application number, visa document number or visa application number.

Is Enjaz still used?

Recruitment offices have long used Enjaz to process work visas. The Enjaz site did not connect for us on 22 September 2026, so we cannot say how it now fits with the ministry platform and the new KSA VISA site.

Do I need the Protector stamp for a Saudi work visa?

Yes. Everyone leaving Pakistan on a work visa has to be registered with the Protector of Emigrants first.

Where do I do the medical test for Saudi Arabia?

At a GCC approved medical centre booked through Wafid. You can check on the Saudi visa platform that your medical certificate has been issued.

Last checked 22 September 2026. The list of visitor, work and inquiry services is from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa platform at visa.mofa.gov.sa, read in Arabic on that date and translated by us. The KSA VISA trial notice was on the same platform. The Wafid description is from wafid.com. The tourist eVisa position is reported, not verified, because visa.visitsaudi.com refused outside access and visitsaudi.com rendered no readable text. We found no official fee, could not reach enjazit.com.sa, and the Saudi Embassy Islamabad page redirected to an Arabic site with no visa details we could read. Visa rules change often; check the official platform on the day you apply.
