The Telenor MNP code is 76345. Send MNP to 667 from the number you want to move, forward the reply SMS to 76345, then give your thumbprint at a Telenor franchise with your original CNIC. PTA's porting rules give four days for a normal port, counted on working days only.

We read PTA's MNP Porting Process Guidelines on 7 November 2026. MNP means mobile number portability: you keep your number, say 0300 or 0333, and move it to Telenor's network. The 76345 code and every rule below come from that PTA document. Telenor's own website blocked our automated reading with a security check, so we could not confirm Telenor's port-in fee today. Ask at the franchise before you pay anything.

The Telenor MNP code is 667, then 76345

Every port in Pakistan starts with the same message: MNP to 667. The reply carries your number, name, CNIC, SIM serial and activation date. You then forward that reply to the network you want to join, and for Telenor that short code is 76345.

PTA gives each operator its own five digit code. Forward to the wrong one and the request goes to the wrong network, so check the last two digits before you press send.

Jazz (Mobilink)76300
Zong (CMPak)76313
Ufone76333
Warid (now part of Jazz)76321

The word MNP is not case sensitive. PTA's guidelines accept mnp, Mnp or MNP, so you do not need to worry about capital letters.

How to port your number to Telenor, step by step

Porting to Telenor takes one SMS pair and one visit to a Telenor franchise or authorised retailer. Carry your original CNIC and the phone with the old SIM still inside it. The franchise needs to see the SIM working on the spot.

  1. Use up your prepaid balance on the old network. PTA's rules say unused balance is lost when the number moves.
  2. Type MNP and send it to 667 from the number you want to port.
  3. Wait for the reply with your number, name, CNIC, SIM number and activation date.
  4. Forward that reply, unchanged, to 76345.
  5. Visit a Telenor franchise with your original CNIC and the old SIM in your phone.
  6. Give your thumbprint for biometric verification and sign the port-in form with the same signature as on your CNIC.
  7. Collect the new Telenor SIM. It stays inactive until the port is complete, then it starts working.

The franchise may also call your number to check the SIM is with you. That is part of PTA's process, not a scam. Once the new SIM is live, look at the Telenor call packages before you recharge, because the bundle you had on the old network does not move with you.

Rules that can stop a port to Telenor

A port fails most often for three reasons: the number is less than 60 days old, the SIM is not in your name, or a postpaid bill is unpaid. Each one is written into PTA's guidelines, and the old network can hold or reject your request for them.

  • The 60 day lock. A new number, or one you ported in recently, cannot move again for 60 calendar days. A change of ownership restarts the same clock.
  • The SIM must be in your name. The CNIC in the 667 reply has to match the CNIC you give for biometrics. If it does not, the franchise will not send the request.
  • Postpaid dues. The old network sends your outstanding bill within two days. You must clear it, and it may ask for a security deposit if one was waived earlier.
  • Contracts. If you signed a contract with your current network, such as a phone on instalments, you must settle it first.
  • Second numbers. A virtual second number on your SIM cannot be ported. It goes back to the old network when the main number moves.

If your SIM is in a parent's name, first move it into yours through a SIM ownership transfer. Then wait the 60 days. A quick look at the SIMs registered on your CNIC also shows you whose name a number is in.

Four days, office hours, and old balance is lost

PTA sets a normal porting time of four days for prepaid and postpaid numbers, not counting any hold. Porting work runs from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, so a request sent on a Friday evening starts on Monday.

Plan around that window. Send the 667 SMS on a weekday morning and visit the franchise the same day, and the four day clock starts sooner.

RuleWhat PTA's guidelines say
Porting time4 days, excluding holds
Porting hours9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday
Minimum number age60 calendar days
Unused prepaid balanceNot refunded or moved
Porting feeSet by the network you join
Cancel the requestAllowed before the port runs, fee not refunded

PTA also bars the network you join from offering a special package only to ported-in customers. So any "switch to Telenor" offer you see should be open to every Telenor customer too.

Your fee, your wallet and your phone after the port

PTA leaves the porting fee to the network you join. Telenor's site was not readable to us today, so we cannot state its current port-in charge. Jazz lists Rs 300 and Zong lists the service as free on their own pages, which gives you a range to compare against.

Your mobile wallet is safer than people think. When we read the wallet terms on 31 October 2026, Easypaisa said its accounts work on any network, and JazzCash said the same. So a JazzCash or Easypaisa wallet after MNP keeps working, though you may need to log in again on the new SIM.

Your phone's PTA status does not change either. PTA's guidelines tell the old network to pass on the phones paired with your number, and the new network checks them at activation. A PTA approved phone stays approved.

Telenor also sells an eSIM. If you want the ported number on an eSIM rather than a plastic SIM, ask at the franchise and check the Telenor eSIM supported phones first.

Common questions

What is the Telenor MNP code?

76345. Send MNP to 667, then forward the reply to 76345. The code is listed in PTA's MNP Porting Process Guidelines.

How many days does porting to Telenor take?

Four days for a normal port under PTA's rules, not counting holds. Only Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, counts.

How much does Telenor charge to port a number?

We could not confirm it. PTA lets each network set its own fee, and Telenor's website blocked our automated check on 7 November 2026. Ask the franchise before you pay.

Can I port to Telenor without visiting a shop?

Not under PTA's process. You must give your thumbprint in person with your original CNIC, and the port-in form needs your signature.

Will my Jazz or Zong balance move to Telenor?

No. PTA's rule is use it or lose it. Spend your prepaid balance before you send the 667 SMS.

Can I cancel a port after starting it?

Yes, before the port is executed. Ask the Telenor franchise to cancel it. Any fee you paid is not refunded.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 7 November 2026. The 667 and 76345 codes, the four day porting time, business hours, 60 day rule, postpaid dues, cancellation, balance rule and special package rule are from PTA's MNP Porting Process Guidelines, version 7.9.15 dated 13 February 2020, which may have been updated since. Telenor's website returned a security block to our automated requests, so we could not read its port-in fee or confirm 76345 on Telenor's own pages. We did not port a number ourselves.
