Telenor Umrah Package: Saudi Roaming Bundles, Prices, Codes and Activation (2026 List)

Telenor's Umrah package comes in two sizes: Umrah Basic on *345*155#, with 1,000 MB, 30 minutes and 10 SMS, and Umrah Premium on *345*129#, with 3,000 MB, 40 minutes and 20 SMS, both for 30 days. Telenor prices them at Rs 1,300 and Rs 2,500 on the bundle pages, but at Rs 1,500 and Rs 3,000 on its Umrah travel SIM page. Below are both bundles, the rule that you must switch on roaming before you fly, and the UAE, Oman, Qatar and global bundles for other trips.

Telenor has two Umrah bundles, both for prepaid SIMs

Umrah Basic gives 1,000 MB, 30 minutes and 10 SMS; Umrah Premium gives 3,000 MB, 40 minutes and 20 SMS. Both last 30 days and work only while roaming in Saudi Arabia. Premium is labelled prepaid only.

Telenor's two pages disagree on price by Rs 200 and Rs 500. The bundle pages say the offer can be bought through retailers, the My Telenor app or Easypaisa. The travel SIM page calls its figures "activation charges". We cannot tell which is current, so keep the higher amount in your balance and read the price in the reply before you confirm.

Switch on roaming before you leave Pakistan

Every Telenor roaming bundle page says the international roaming service must be active, and that you must activate it before leaving Pakistan. Dial *759#, which is free, visit a Telenor franchise, or call 345.

This is the step people miss. The bundle itself can be bought in Pakistan or in Saudi Arabia, the pages say, but roaming has to be switched on at home. Do it a day or two before the flight and keep the confirmation SMS. The general steps for every network are in our page on how to activate international roaming.

1. Dial *759# from your Telenor SIM in Pakistan and choose roaming activation.
2. Recharge enough balance for the bundle, plus a margin.
3. Dial *345*155# for Umrah Basic or *345*129# for Umrah Premium.
4. Check the confirmation SMS for price, resources and expiry.
5. In Saudi Arabia, turn on data roaming in your phone settings.

What the Umrah minutes and data can be used for

The minutes cover local calls inside Saudi Arabia and calls back to Pakistan, and they count both incoming and outgoing calls. The data works only in Saudi Arabia, so it cannot be saved for use at home.

Two terms matter for a long trip. The bundle expires when your main account validity expires, even if 30 days have not passed, so recharge before you go to keep the SIM valid. And it stays unchanged if you switch price plan. Incoming calls use up the bundle minutes too, so 30 minutes can go quickly when relatives keep calling to ask how the journey went.

For long video calls home, the data is the better route. On Umrah Premium, 3,000 MB for a 15 day trip is about 200 MB a day, by our arithmetic, enough for messages and a few short video calls but not for hours of streaming.

Telenor bundles for UAE, Oman, Qatar and other countries

Telenor sells separate prepaid roaming bundles for the UAE, for Oman and Qatar, and a Global bundle for other countries. Each lasts 30 days and is bought on its own code or through the *759# menu.

The UAE bundles cost far more than the Umrah ones for the same resources. Telenor's listing also shows data-only bundles for the UK, USA, Australia and Turkey, and for Thailand, Malaysia, Turkey and Singapore: 100 MB for Rs 399 or 1,000 MB for Rs 1,499, through *759#. When Telenor roaming does not work in Saudi Arabia

Telenor's roaming page lists three common problems: no network, calls that will not connect, and SMS that do not arrive. Check that roaming was switched on before you left, that data roaming is on in the phone, and that the bundle is active.

Telenor's roaming page says roaming prepaid users get 2G and 3G data through bundles, while a separate line on the same page mentions 4G. If the phone is set to 4G only, change it to automatic. To complain from abroad, Telenor's roaming page has a complaint form, and its contact page lists +92 42 111 345 100. Postpaid users are on different terms. Telenor's roaming page lists a Rs 15,000 security deposit for postpaid roaming and 15 per cent withholding tax on calls, SMS and data while abroad, and the Umrah bundles above are for prepaid.
