UAE Visit Visa Requirements for Pakistanis: AED 3,000, Hotel Booking, Return Ticket and 3 More Rules
UAE visit visa requirements for Pakistanis: AED 3,000 cash or a credit card, a hotel booking, a return ticket and a 6 month passport. See all 6 consulate rules.

To enter the UAE on a visit visa, a Pakistani needs six things, the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai says: a passport valid for six months, a valid visa, a hotel booking, at least AED 3,000 in cash or a valid credit card, the sponsor's name and number if you have one, and a return ticket dated before the visa expires. Miss any one and you can be refused entry. Below is each rule, how to prove it at the counter, and the conduct rules the consulate lists for anyone staying on.
We read the consulate's guidelines for visitors from Pakistan on pakistanconsulatedubai.ae on 2 November 2026. These are the consulate's own instructions to Pakistanis, not a rule sheet from UAE immigration, so treat them as the minimum to carry.
Six rules decide whether a Pakistani visitor gets into the UAE
The consulate says all Pakistanis entering the UAE as tourists or visitors must follow six instructions, and that failing any of them makes you liable to be denied entry. Four are papers you carry, one is money, and one is the sponsor's details.
| Rule | What to carry | The common mistake |
|---|---|---|
| Passport valid for the next 6 months | Your passport | Counting 6 months from booking, not from travel |
| Valid and appropriate visa | The visa printout | Travelling on the wrong visa type for the trip |
| Hotel booking in the UAE | Confirmed booking with your name | A booking cancelled after the visa was issued |
| At least AED 3,000 | Cash, or a valid credit card | A debit card with no international use switched on |
| Sponsor's name and contact, if any | Name and UAE phone number | A number the sponsor will not answer |
| Return ticket before the visa expires | Confirmed return booking | A return date after the visa end date |

AED 3,000 can be cash or a credit card, not just a bank balance
The consulate asks for at least AED 3,000 in cash or a valid credit card. A bank statement is not on its list. If you carry cash, carry it in dirhams or a currency you can show quickly, and keep the card in your name, not a relative's.
AED 3,000 came to about Rs 225,930 at the State Bank's buying rate of Rs 75.31 on 15 October 2026. That is our arithmetic, and the UAE dirham rate in Pakistan moves daily, so check it before you change money.
A credit card is the lighter option. Make sure it is active for use abroad before you fly, because a card that fails at a shop in Dubai is no help if an officer asks to see it.
The return ticket must land before the visa runs out
Your return ticket must be valid and dated before your visa expires. A 30 day visa with a return on day 31 breaks the rule. One way tickets, or open returns with no date, do not meet it either.
If plans change after you arrive, extend the visa before it ends rather than staying on. The steps to extend a UAE visit visa are cheaper than the daily fine for overstaying, and the UAE visit visa overstay fine adds up fast.
- Check your passport has at least 6 months left on the day you fly.
- Print the visa and check the type matches your trip.
- Book the hotel in your own name and keep the confirmation.
- Carry AED 3,000 in cash or an active credit card.
- Save your sponsor's name and UAE number on paper too.
- Book a return flight dated before the visa expiry date.

The same papers also help at the FIA counter in Pakistan
FIA officers at Pakistani airports check visit visa travellers before departure, and they ask for much the same proof: hotel, return ticket and money. Carrying the consulate's six items covers both ends of the trip in one folder.
Most offloading stories start with a missing hotel booking or a return ticket nobody printed. The FIA document checklist to avoid offloading lists what officers ask for at departure. Keep both lists together in your hand luggage.
Once your visa is issued, confirm it is real and active before you fly. A UAE visa status check takes a passport number and a few minutes.
The consulate's conduct rules for Pakistanis staying in the UAE
The consulate also lists rules for Pakistanis living or staying in the UAE. Never criticise the UAE government or its royal families, including on social media. Do not join political gatherings or unapproved charities. Possessing even small amounts of narcotics is a criminal offence.
- Always carry your identity documents, because the authorities may ask to see them.
- Sleeping pills or medicines with small amounts of narcotics need a prescription.
- Donating to a charity not approved by the UAE government can lead to visa cancellation and deportation.
- Do not smoke in government buildings, malls or public places, only in marked areas.
- Do not litter or spit in public places.
The medicine rule is the one Pakistani visitors break by accident. Pack prescribed medicine in its original box with the prescription.

Common questions
How much money do I need to enter the UAE on a visit visa from Pakistan?
At least AED 3,000 in cash, or a valid credit card, according to the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai.
Is a hotel booking compulsory for a UAE visit visa?
The consulate lists a hotel booking in the UAE as one of the six requirements for Pakistani visitors.
How long must my passport be valid to visit the UAE?
At least six months, counted from when you travel.
Can I stay with a relative instead of a hotel?
The consulate's list asks for a hotel booking and, if applicable, the sponsor's name and contact. If a relative sponsors you, carry their details and still check what your visa type requires.
Does the return ticket have to be before the visa expiry?
Yes. The consulate says the return date must fall before the visa expires.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the Pakistan Consulate Dubai guidelines for visitors and residents on 2 November 2026; the consulate is listed on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs missions page. The rupee figure for AED 3,000 is our arithmetic at the State Bank rate of 15 October 2026 and changes daily. We did not check UAE immigration's own rules, which can be stricter, or the current visit visa fees.
