University of Toronto Pearson Scholarship for Pakistani Students: Last Step Due 6 November 2026
Nominated for the University of Toronto Pearson Scholarship? Finish by 6 November 2026. See what it covers, who qualifies in Pakistan and how to plan ahead.

Pakistani students nominated for the University of Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship must finish the scholarship application and upload every document by 6 November 2026. The award pays tuition, books, incidental fees and full residence for four years, and about 37 students worldwide win it each year.
If you were not nominated by your school, you cannot apply this year. The school nomination deadline was 9 October 2026 and the University of Toronto (U of T) admission deadline for Pearson candidates was 16 October. This guide covers the last step for those who are in, and how a Class 11 or AS-level student in Pakistan can plan for next year.
We read U of T's own Pearson Scholarship page on future.utoronto.ca, which gives the 2026-27 dates and rules below.
The last Pearson deadline is 6 November 2026
Three dates make up the cycle for entry in September 2027. Two have passed. The third, the scholarship application with all documents, falls on Friday 6 November 2026.
| Step | Deadline | Status on 5 November |
|---|---|---|
| School nominates you | 9 October 2026 | Closed |
| You apply for admission to U of T | 16 October 2026 | Closed |
| You submit the Pearson application and documents | 6 November 2026 | Open, one day left |
Nominees receive a private link to the Pearson application after the school nominates them. You can complete it only after you have applied for admission. If you have not seen the link, check your email and spam folder, then ask your school counsellor today.

What the Pearson Scholarship covers
U of T calls it the university's most prestigious award for international students. It covers tuition, books, incidental fees and full residence support for four years of a first-entry undergraduate degree. It can be used only at U of T.
| Point | Pearson Scholarship, Fall 2027 entry |
|---|---|
| Covers | Tuition, books, incidental fees, full residence |
| Length | Four years |
| Scholars a year | About 37 |
| Level | First-entry undergraduate degrees only |
| Nominations | One student per school per year |
U of T says it gave more than 12 million dollars in Pearson funding in 2024, to scholars from 188 countries. Selection looks at outstanding academic results, creativity and leadership potential. If you apply to up to three programme areas, the award is tied to your top choice at the time of the decision.
Who can apply from Pakistan
You must be an international student, meaning a non-Canadian who needs a study permit. You must be in your final year of senior secondary school in 2026/2027, or have graduated no earlier than June 2026. And you must start at U of T in September 2027.
For a Pakistani student, final year usually means A2 in the Cambridge system, HSSC Part II (12th class), or the last year of an IB or American diploma. Students already at university, or starting university in January 2027 anywhere, are not eligible.
- Confirm your school can nominate. Schools already verified by U of T get a nomination form each July.
- Ask your counsellor or principal to nominate you. Each school picks only one student.
- Apply for admission to at least one U of T undergraduate programme.
- Open the private Pearson link you receive and complete the application.
- Upload every required document before the deadline.
Write every answer yourself. U of T says generative AI tools such as ChatGPT are prohibited in its undergraduate award applications, and applicants found using them are disqualified.

Planning for the next round
A student in Class 11 or AS level now would aim at the next cycle. In 2026, nomination forms reached verified schools from 6 July and closed on 9 October. If your school has never nominated a student, it can apply to join the programme, and in 2026 that also had to be done by noon Eastern time on 9 October.
So the work starts in Pakistan's summer, not in the autumn. Talk to your school before July. If your school is not yet verified, it needs to apply early so it can nominate anyone at all. U of T notified the last round's scholars from the end of January, with all nominees told by April.
Before you apply abroad, check your grades will convert. Our guides on IBCC attestation of Matric and Inter certificates and the SAT test dates and fee in Pakistan cover two common steps. For awards that do not need a nomination, see our admission and scholarship last dates list.
Watch for Pearson scholarship fraud
U of T warns that it has seen fake emails offering help with Pearson applications. It does not work with agents or education consultants to recruit students or give scholarships. Only your current school can nominate you, through U of T's online process.
Anyone in Pakistan who asks for money to "secure" a Pearson nomination is not connected with the programme. Do not pay. If a Canadian study consultant is involved in other parts of your plan, our guide to checking a Canadian consultant's licence shows how to verify them.
