VU Holds Spring 2026 End-Term Exams for Kashmir Students on 15 October: Paper Pattern
Virtual University sets Spring 2026 end-term exams for Kashmir region students from 15 October 2026. See the 70 mark paper pattern and how to get a date sheet.

Virtual University of Pakistan will hold its Spring 2026 end-term exams for students in the Kashmir region on Thursday 15 October 2026. VU says these students could not sit the exams earlier because of internet disruptions. Date sheets have been emailed to every affected student. Each paper carries 70 marks and lasts 100 minutes. If you have not seen your date sheet, check your VU email first, then visit your campus.
We read VU's announcement on its website on 11 October 2026. It is dated 10 October 2026 on VU's news list. The notice speaks of the "Kashmir Region" in its heading and of "AJK students" in its text, so we use both terms the way VU does.
VU's Kashmir end-term exams start on 15 October 2026
The exams begin on Thursday 15 October 2026, five days after the notice. VU says the date applies to students affected by internet disruptions in the Kashmir region, and that AJK students' end-term exams start the same day.
These are the Spring 2026 end-term papers, not the Fall 2026 semester that has just begun. A student can be in both at once: finishing the old semester while starting the new one. Plan the first week of Fall around the exam days.
VU's own homepage shows about 2,283 enrolled students in Azad Kashmir, across three cities. VU does not say how many of them are affected by this notice.

The date sheet is on your VU email, or on paper at your campus
VU says it has sent date sheets to all affected students on their official VU email addresses. Students with stable internet should print theirs from the email. Students with connection problems should collect a hard copy at their designated campus.
- Open the official VU email address you were given at admission.
- Find the message with your date sheet and print it.
- If you cannot open email, go to your designated VU campus and ask for the hard copy.
- If the date sheet is missing or wrong, raise a ticket on VU's support system, as shown below.
Do not wait for a reminder. The first paper is days away, and a campus visit may take a whole day if you live far from it. Collect the paper copy in the next two days if your internet is unreliable.
Each paper has 70 marks and 100 minutes, with no choice
VU says the Spring 2026 end-term paper carries a maximum of 70 marks and lasts 100 minutes. There is no choice in MCQs, short questions or long questions. You must answer every question that is set.
| Part | What it covers | Marks or count |
|---|---|---|
| MCQs, final term | The final term syllabus | 33 MCQs |
| MCQs, missing quizzes | Marks you missed in quizzes | 10 MCQs |
| Short questions | Covers the graded discussion boards, or GDBs | 4 questions, 3 marks each |
| Long questions | Covers your assignments | 3 questions, 5 marks each |
| Total | 70 marks, 100 minutes |
Our arithmetic from VU's list: 43 MCQs, then 12 marks of short answers and 15 marks of long answers, which makes 70 if each MCQ is worth one mark. VU does not state the mark per MCQ, so treat that split as our reading.
The missing quizzes, GDBs and assignments are tested because students in the region could not take part online. The paper brings those marks back into the exam. A GDB is a graded discussion board, VU's online class discussion that carries marks.

Courses that are fully MCQs have a different paper
For courses that are entirely MCQ based, VU says the final exam will have 90 MCQs and last 100 minutes. The missing quiz, GDB and assignment portion is built into those MCQs, so you will not see separate short or long questions.
Check your course type on the date sheet before you revise. A student who prepares for long answers in an MCQ course wastes time, and the reverse is worse. Revise concepts and definitions for the MCQ courses, and practise writing short, clear answers for the others.
If your date sheet is missing, raise a ticket or call VU
VU names two routes for date sheet questions. The first is a ticket on its support system. The second is a phone and WhatsApp line. Keep the screenshot of your ticket, because it is your proof that you reported the problem on time.
| Route | How |
|---|---|
| Support ticket | VU website, Contact Us, Support System, Examinations, Conduct, Date sheet Related Queries |
| Phone and WhatsApp | 03000656905 |
| UAN | (051) 111 880 880, extension 1552 |
You need to log in to the support system. If your login does not work because of the internet, use the phone line or visit the campus.
This notice does not change anything for students outside the region. Fall 2026 classes and the other dates are in our guide to VU fall 2026 admission, and the scholarship deadline is in the note on the VU need-based scholarship.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 11 October 2026. We read VU's notice "Announcement: Spring 2026 End-Term Examinations for Kashmir Region" on vu.edu.pk and the university's homepage news list. We did not see the date sheets themselves, so we cannot give subject dates. VU does not say how many students are affected.
