Virtual University Summer 2026 Result Is Out: Check Your Grade Book and Apply for Rechecking for Rs 500
Virtual University declared the Summer 2026 result on 15 October. Check your VULMS grade book and apply for rechecking within 5 working days at Rs 500 a paper.

Virtual University declared the Summer 2026 end semester examination results on 15 October 2026, and students see them in the grade book on VULMS rather than on a public result page. A paper rechecking request must be made through Student Services on the LMS within five working days of the result, at Rs 500 per paper, and the fee is refunded if the marks go up. We read the university's result notice and its rechecking rules in the student handbook on vu.edu.pk on 19 October 2026.
Five working days from a Thursday 15 October declaration runs out on Thursday 22 October 2026, by our count, so anyone who thinks a paper was totalled wrong needs to act this week. The Fall 2026 semester has already begun, and a changed summer grade can affect which courses you are allowed to carry.
The result is in your VULMS grade book, not on a result website
VU's notice of 15 October says the Summer 2026 end semester results have been declared and published, and tells students to check their VULMS grade books. There is no roll number search and no SMS code. Log in with your student ID and password, open the course, and read the grade book entry for the final term paper and the overall grade.
Summer is VU's short semester, taken mostly by students repeating a course or clearing a backlog before the regular Fall intake. VU's Fall 2026 classes began on 12 October, as covered in the VU Fall 2026 class start and add-drop dates, and the university even reopened its admission portal from 16 to 18 October for students awaiting these summer results.

Rechecking must be requested within five working days, at Rs 500 a paper
The handbook says a student may apply for rechecking of a paper within five working days after the result is declared, on payment of the prescribed fee. The miscellaneous fee table lists examination rechecking at Rs 500. The request is made only through the LMS, and only one rechecking chance is given for each paper.
| Rule | What VU's handbook says |
|---|---|
| Deadline | Within five working days of the result declaration |
| Fee | Rs 500 per paper, paid by bank voucher |
| Where to apply | LMS, Student Services, Apply for Re-checking of Papers |
| Chances | One rechecking request per paper |
| Decision time | 15 to 20 working days |
| Refund | Fee refunded if the rechecking increases the marks |
Rechecking is not remarking. The handbook says re-evaluation of a paper is not permissible in any circumstances. A committee of at least three members, including the head of the subject, checks that every question was marked, that the totals are right and that the total was carried correctly to the title page. If that produces a change, the result is corrected.
Apply from the LMS and pay the voucher before its due date
From inside the LMS, open Student Services, click Apply for Re-checking of Papers, tick the courses you want checked, submit, print the voucher and pay it at the bank by the due date. A request whose voucher is not paid in time is cancelled automatically. If you tick the wrong course, close the voucher window, withdraw the request and start again.
- Log in to VULMS and read the grade book for every summer course first, so you apply only where the total looks wrong.
- Click Student Services, then Apply for Re-checking of Papers.
- Tick the box against each course you want rechecked and click Submit Request.
- Click Print Voucher; the voucher opens in a new window.
- Pay Rs 500 per paper at the bank before the due date printed on the voucher.
- Wait 15 to 20 working days for the decision, which arrives through the LMS.
The handbook also allows a student to look at the paper physically at a schedule set by the Controller of Examinations, alone, with no other person allowed inside the rechecking centre. The university's decision on a rechecking request is final.

Result queries that are not rechecking go through a support ticket
A missing grade, a course that shows no result, or a grade book that does not open is a result query rather than a rechecking case, and VU's notice sends those to the support system. The path is Contact Us, Support System, Examinations, Result, Result Related Queries, Submit Query. Give the course code and your student ID in the ticket.
Do not pay a rechecking fee for a missing result. Rechecking applies to a paper that has been marked and totalled. If the grade book shows nothing, the paper may be unmarked, held or affected by an attendance or fee flag, and only a ticket will tell you which.
What a summer grade changes for the Fall semester
A summer pass clears a backlog course so it no longer blocks the next one in the sequence. A fail means the course has to be repeated, and the repeat fee applies again in a later semester. Students who applied for Fall 2026 while waiting for a summer result had their applications processed once the result was declared, as VU's admission notice of 16 October set out.
Students on the university's financial support should check whether a changed grade affects it. The conditions for the VU need based scholarship for Fall 2026 include academic standing. New applicants who missed the regular window can read how VU Fall 2026 admission works for the next intake.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 19 October 2026. We read the Virtual University notice "Summer 2026 End Semester Examinations: Results Declared and Published", dated 15 October 2026 on vu.edu.pk, which directs students to VULMS grade books, the rechecking rules and the support ticket path. The rechecking rules, the five working day window, the one chance rule, the committee, the no re-evaluation clause, the physical viewing and the refund on increased marks come from the Rechecking of Papers page of the VU student handbook at handbook.vu.edu.pk, and the Rs 500 fee from the handbook's miscellaneous fee table. The 22 October end of the window is our own count of five working days and was not stated by VU. We could not see a grade book ourselves.
