Short answer: The Wafaqi Mohtasib, Pakistan's federal ombudsman, has published new hearing lists for 31 October to 15 November 2026, with 8,735 complaint hearings across 23 office lists. Open your office's list on mohtasib.gov.pk and search for your complaint number to find your date, officer and venue.

We downloaded every office's list from the ombudsman's website in the early hours of 31 October 2026 and added up the totals printed on each one. Karachi has the most cases, 1,676, and Lahore follows with 1,526. The first hearings are on Monday 2 November and the last on Friday 13 November.

One date needs care. The lists still fix 373 hearings on Monday 9 November, which is Iqbal Day. If your case is on that day, call your office before you travel. The details are further down.

8,735 hearings are fixed from 2 to 13 November 2026

The 23 lists on the ombudsman's website are titled "From 31 October 2026 to 15 November 2026" and print 8,735 cases between them. No hearing falls on the weekend of 31 October and 1 November, so the real hearing days run from 2 to 13 November.

Wafaqi Mohtasib has fixed 8,735 complaint hearings from 31 October to 15 November 2026

That is fewer than the last round. The lists for 20 October to 4 November held 10,130 hearings, which we counted in the previous Wafaqi Mohtasib hearing list. The busiest single day this time is Wednesday 4 November in Karachi, with 741 cases.

The Wana and Sadda collection centres in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have cases this time. Their lists were empty in the last round. The website still uses the Khuzdar list link for Khuzdar, Sibi, Gilgit-Baltistan and the Loralai collection centre, so people in those places should look in the Khuzdar list and then confirm by phone.

Find your hearing date with your complaint number

Your complaint number is on the receipt, SMS or email you got when you filed. Open "Weekly Schedule of Hearings" on mohtasib.gov.pk, pick your office, and search the list for that number. Your row shows the hearing date, the investigating officer and the address.

  1. Find your complaint number. It looks like WMS-ONL/0068371/26 or WMS-LHR/0001234/26.
  2. Open mohtasib.gov.pk and scroll to the "Weekly Schedule of Hearings" box on the home page.
  3. Click your office, such as Lahore Office, Karachi Office or HO Islamabad. A list opens as a PDF.
  4. Press Ctrl and F on a computer, or use "Find in page" on a phone, and type the last few digits of your number.
  5. Write down the date, the officer's name and the address. Take a screenshot as well.
Five steps to find your Wafaqi Mohtasib hearing date with your complaint number

The first part of the number tells you how the complaint came in. In the Lahore list, 680 cases start with WMS-LHR, filed at the Lahore office. Another 600 start with WMS-ONL and 168 with WMS-APP, which match the online form and the mobile app. If you cannot find your number, try the office where you first filed, not the city you live in now. You can also follow the case with the Wafaqi Mohtasib complaint status check.

373 hearings fall on Monday 9 November, Iqbal Day

Monday 9 November 2026 is Allama Iqbal Day, a public holiday on the Cabinet Division's 2026 list. Even so, 11 office lists fix hearings that day, 373 in all. Before you travel, call your office and ask whether your 9 November hearing will go ahead.

Dera Ghazi Khan has the most cases on that day, 195. The Islamabad head office has 47, Lahore 40, Peshawar 23, Karachi 17 and Quetta 15. Smaller numbers appear in Wana, Sargodha, Dera Ismail Khan, Mirpurkhas and Multan.

Wafaqi Mohtasib hearings fixed on 9 November 2026 by office, led by Dera Ghazi Khan with 195

We do not know whether these cases will be moved. The lists were printed before any change, and the ombudsman had not posted a notice about 9 November when we checked. Government offices are normally closed on the day, as set out in what is closed on 9 November. A phone call costs you nothing and can save a wasted trip.

Hearings are held at the ombudsman's regional offices

Each row gives the hearing address, and in the lists we checked it is the ombudsman's own office. Lahore hearings are at State Life Building, 3rd Floor, 15-A Davis Road. Islamabad hearings are at 36 Constitution Avenue, G-5/2. Kharan hearings are at the regional office in the civil and session court area.

Bring your CNIC, the complaint receipt and copies of every letter you sent to the department and every reply. The department sends its own officer. The ombudsman works through mediation, so a settlement on the day is possible. If the department fixes your problem before the date, tell the office so the file can be closed.

The phone numbers for each office are in the Wafaqi Mohtasib regional offices list. The general helpline is 1055.

What to do if you miss or cannot attend the hearing

Call the office as early as you can and ask for a new date. We did not find a written adjournment rule on the ombudsman's website, so the office decides. Keep a note of who you spoke to and when.

Do not pay anyone who promises an earlier date. The service is free, and the ombudsman does not accept complaints filed through a paid agent, as set out in the Wafaqi Mohtasib complaint rules. If the final decision goes against you, the next step is a representation to the President, which has its own 30 day limit.

Common questions

Karachi, with 1,676. Lahore has 1,526 and Dera Ghazi Khan 691.

Will hearings on 9 November go ahead?

Is there a fee to attend a hearing?

No. Complaints and hearings at the Wafaqi Mohtasib are free of cost.

Your hearing has probably not been fixed in this fortnight. Check the next list, or track the complaint by its number, and call the office if more than a month has passed.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 31 October 2026, about 02:30 PKT. We downloaded all 23 hearing lists from the "Weekly Schedule of Hearings" links on the Wafaqi Mohtasib website and read the date summary and total printed on each. The office totals add up to 8,735, which is our arithmetic. The 9 November figure comes from the date summaries of the 11 lists that include that day. The holiday is on the Cabinet Division's 2026 public holiday list. We could not confirm whether the 9 November hearings will be moved, why one link serves four Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan points, or any written rule on adjournments.
