iPhone Duo Price in Pakistan: About Rs 704,000 With PTA Tax on Our Estimate

On our estimate, Apple's first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, will cost about Rs 704,000 in Pakistan for the 256GB model once PTA tax is paid. That is the US price of $1,999 plus at least Rs 150,084 in known tax. Apple does not sell in Pakistan and has not announced a Pakistani price, so every rupee figure here is our estimate.

Apple unveiled the iPhone Duo on 9 September 2026. Pre-orders open on Friday 16 October and it reaches the first countries on Friday 23 October. Pakistan is not on Apple's launch list. We read Apple's press release and its US and UAE stores on 28 September 2026.

iPhone Duo price in Pakistan with PTA tax, our estimate

A 256GB iPhone Duo bought in the US and registered in Pakistan would cost about Rs 704,421 on our estimate, if you are on FBR's active taxpayer list. The 2TB model passes Rs 1.12 million. Customs duty and levies FBR has not published would add more.

If you are not on the active taxpayer list, add Rs 11,500 to every tax figure. The income tax part doubles from Rs 11,500 to Rs 23,000.

Shops in Pakistan will charge more than these totals. They carry the risk, the shipping and their own margin. Treat our numbers as the floor a careful buyer can aim for, not the price on a shelf.

How we worked out the iPhone Duo estimate

We took Apple's US price, converted it at the State Bank of Pakistan's rate, then added the two taxes we could confirm in FBR's own law. Those are 25% sales tax and a fixed income tax. The method matches the one we used for the iPhone 18 Pro.

1. Apple's US store lists the iPhone Duo at $1,999, $2,199, $2,599 and $3,199 for 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB.
2. We converted at Rs 277.3072 to the dollar, the State Bank's weighted average offer rate for 25 September 2026.
3. Every model is valued above $500, so sales tax is 25% of the value under the Sales Tax Act's Ninth Schedule.
4. We added income tax on import of Rs 11,500 for an active taxpayer, or Rs 23,000 for anyone else.
5. We added the phone price and the tax to get the total.

Three limits apply. Customs taxes its own assessed value, not your receipt, and FBR has not published one for the iPhone Duo. Sales tax is charged after customs duty is added, so the real figure is a little higher. And the fixed duty and levy amounts are missing. iPhone Duo specifications from Apple

The iPhone Duo has a 7.6-inch inner screen and a 5.4-inch outer screen, the A20 Pro chip, two 48MP rear cameras and a titanium body. Apple says it is the thinnest iPhone ever when open, with up to 31 hours of video on the inner screen.

Touch ID is worth a note. It returns because a fingerprint in the side button works whether the phone is open or closed. Apple also says the inner screen's coating keeps the fold line hard to see, which is the first thing most people check on a folding phone.

The iPhone Duo is eSIM only, which matters in Pakistan

Apple says the iPhone Duo has no physical SIM slot anywhere in the world. In Pakistan you will need an eSIM from your network, and the phone must be PTA registered first or it stops working on a local SIM after 60 days.

eSIM is a SIM built into the phone. Pakistani networks issue it at a service centre with your CNIC and a thumbprint. PTA has capped the fee at Rs 1,500 and made the first ten transfers free, as reported in August. The steps are in how to activate an eSIM in Pakistan.

Two practical checks before buying abroad:

• Buy it unlocked. A phone tied to a US network may refuse a Pakistani eSIM. Apple's own store sells unlocked models.
• Read every IMEI. Dial *#06# once the phone is set up and register each number it shows on DIRBS. Pay the PSID within 7 days.

Registration on a passport within 60 days of arrival is the cheaper route. On a CNIC, or after 60 days, PTA says you pay additional tax or duty.

iPhone Duo release date and where to buy it

Pre-orders open on 16 October 2026 in more than 70 countries, including the UAE, with sales from 23 October. A further 28 countries follow on 30 October. Apple did not name Pakistan, and it has no official store here.

For most Pakistani buyers, that means Dubai or a relative in the US or UK. Apple's UAE store lists the iPhone Duo at AED 8,499 for 256GB, AED 9,349 for 512GB, AED 11,049 for 1TB and AED 13,599 for 2TB. The UAE price includes UAE VAT, so it runs higher than the US price in dollar terms.

Whichever country you buy in, PTA tax is charged on the value customs assigns in Pakistan, not on the receipt. So a cheaper purchase abroad does not lower the tax. It only lowers the phone part of the bill.
