Six new automatic cars cost under Rs 50 lakh (Rs 5 million) in Pakistan in November 2026, and the cheapest is the Suzuki Alto VXR-AGS at Rs 3,166,480. The others are the Alto VXL-AGS, Cultus VXL-AGS, Swift GL CVT, Swift GLX CVT and Toyota Yaris GLi CVT at Rs 4,809,000. We read every price on Suzuki's and Toyota's own sites on 7 November 2026.

Driving in Lahore or Karachi traffic with a clutch gets tiring fast. That is why so many buyers now ask one question first: which automatic can I get on my budget? Rs 50 lakh is the line most families draw. Below it, only Suzuki and Toyota offer a new car without a clutch pedal. Here they are, cheapest first, with each maker's own picture.

AGS and CVT are two different kinds of automatic

Suzuki's AGS (Auto Gear Shift) is a manual gearbox that a computer shifts for you, so there is no clutch pedal. A CVT (continuously variable transmission) is a true automatic with no fixed gears. Both are easy in traffic. A CVT usually feels smoother when pulling away.

The Alto and Cultus use AGS. The Swift and Yaris use CVT. If you have only driven a manual, test drive both types before you decide. The AGS can feel like a short pause between gears, and some drivers do not like it.

Price is the other big difference. The cheapest CVT car, the Swift GL CVT at Rs 4,605,600, costs Rs 1,439,120 more than the cheapest AGS car, the Alto VXR-AGS. So for a tight budget the AGS is the only way to drop the clutch. Above Rs 45 lakh you can choose either type, and we would test the CVT first. Servicing an automatic also needs more care than a manual, so keep to the maker's schedule and use the oil it names.

Under Rs 35 lakh, the Alto is the only automatic

The Suzuki Alto is the only new automatic car under Rs 35 lakh. The VXR-AGS costs Rs 3,166,480 and the VXL-AGS Rs 3,326,446. The manual Alto VXR is Rs 2,994,861, so the automatic adds Rs 171,619.

The VXL-AGS adds a touch screen in place of the VXR's 2 DIN audio, for Rs 159,966 more. Both have dual airbags, ABS and hill hold control, which stops the car rolling back on a slope. Full detail on every Alto version is in our Suzuki Alto price breakdown.

From Rs 45 lakh to Rs 48 lakh you have four choices

The Cultus VXL-AGS, Swift GL CVT, Swift GLX CVT and Yaris GLi CVT all cost between Rs 4,591,460 and Rs 4,809,000. That is a gap of only Rs 217,540, so equipment and gearbox type should decide it, not price.

Suzuki Cultus VXL-AGS: Rs 4,591,460

The only automatic Cultus. It costs Rs 14,140 less than the Swift GL CVT. That small gap makes the Cultus hard to recommend unless you prefer its shape, because the Swift has a CVT.

Suzuki Swift GL CVT and GLX CVT: Rs 4,605,600 to Rs 4,766,190

The GL CVT is Rs 4,605,600. The GLX CVT is Rs 4,766,190, and the two-tone GLX CVT costs the same. Suzuki lists a rear view camera, parking sensors, push start and climate control among the Swift's key features, so check which of these come on the GL.

Toyota Yaris 1.3 GLi CVT: Rs 4,809,000

The only sedan, and the only non-Suzuki, under Rs 50 lakh with an automatic. It costs Rs 191,000 less than the Rs 50 lakh line. The next automatic Yaris, the 1.3 Ativ CVT, jumps to Rs 5,719,000.

The on-road price can push you over Rs 50 lakh

These are ex-factory prices. Withholding tax, registration, number plates and insurance come on top. A car listed at Rs 48 lakh can cost more than Rs 50 lakh on the road, especially for a non-filer.

Work it out before you book, using our table of car tax for filers and non-filers. Then follow these steps.

  1. Pick two automatics from the table and test drive both.
  2. Add withholding tax, registration and insurance to each price.
  3. Ask the dealer for the delivery month in writing.
  4. Book at an authorised dealer and pay into the maker's own account.
  5. Keep the booking order until the car is delivered.
