BPSC Agriculture Officer and Assistant Engineer Jobs: Last Date Extended to 17 November 2026, 108 Posts by Zone
BPSC extended the last date for 105 Agriculture Officer and 3 Assistant Engineer posts to 17 November 2026. See seats by zone, the Rs 800 fee and who qualifies.

The Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) has reopened two posts from Advertisement No. 07/2026 and extended their last date to 17 November 2026: 105 posts of Agriculture Officer or Research Officer (B-17) and 3 posts of Assistant Engineer (B-17). The original deadline was 14 October. If you applied before, you do not need to apply again.
BPSC signed the addendum on 2 November 2026 and posted it on its jobs page the same day. We read the addendum and the full four page advertisement from 8 September. Below are the seats by zone, the qualification, the fee, and one labelling mix-up on the BPSC website that could confuse you.
Only two posts from Advertisement 07/2026 reopen
The addendum, No. PSC/(RB)/2026/2509, names just two posts. Agriculture Officer or Research Officer in the Agriculture Extension Wing has 105 seats. Assistant Engineer in the Planning and Development Department's Divisional Directorates Development has 3. Every other post in Advertisement 07/2026 stays closed.
| Post | Scale | Seats | Department | New last date |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Agriculture Officer or Research Officer | B-17 | 105 | Agriculture and Cooperatives, Extension Wing | 17 November 2026 |
| Assistant Engineer | B-17 | 3 | Planning and Development, Divisional Directorates (field offices) | 17 November 2026 |
Advertisement 07/2026 also had Physical Education lecturer and professor posts, Senior Registrars, Population Welfare instructors, an Assistant Director (Sports) and a Legal Officer. None of those reopen. Their applications closed on Wednesday 14 October 2026.

The 105 Agriculture Officer seats are spread across 8 zones
Agriculture Officer seats follow Balochistan's zonal system. Merit and Kalat zone have 17 each. Mekran has 12. Zhob, Nasirabad and Quetta zone have 11 each. Sibi and Quetta City have 5 each. A further 16 seats are reserved: 5 for disabled candidates, 5 for women and 6 for minorities.
| Zone or quota | Seats |
|---|---|
| Merit (all Balochistan) | 17 |
| Kalat zone | 17 |
| Mekran zone | 12 |
| Zhob zone | 11 |
| Nasirabad zone | 11 |
| Quetta zone | 11 |
| Sibi zone | 5 |
| Quetta City | 5 |
| Disabled, women and minority quotas | 16 |
| Total | 105 |
Your zone comes from your domicile. Apply against the zone on your own local or domicile certificate. A married woman not in government service may apply on her husband's domicile, if it carries her name.
The 3 Assistant Engineer seats split as 2 on all-Balochistan merit and 1 for Kalat zone. So for most candidates outside Kalat, there are only two seats to compete for.

Who qualifies for each post
Agriculture Officer needs a Master's degree in Agriculture, or a Bachelor's (Hons) in Agriculture, both at least second division. Assistant Engineer needs a second class B.Arch or BE (Civil) and registration with PCATP or PEC. Both posts are open to men and women and both test with MCQs in the relevant subject.
The upper age is 28 for both posts, counted on the closing date. For Assistant Engineer the range is 21 to 28. The Government of Balochistan's general age relaxation applies on top, and government servants with two years of continuous regular service get relaxation up to 50 years. The scan is hard to read on the number of general relaxation years, so check it on the advertisement itself.
BPSC is strict about age. Its rule that a single day over the limit makes you ineligible is explained in the BPSC age rule. The addendum does not say whether age is now counted on 17 November or still on 14 October. If you are within a few weeks of the limit, check both dates against your matric certificate.
The fee is Rs 800, paid online with a PSID
For B-16 and B-17 posts the application fee is Rs 800. You generate a PSID during the online application and pay it through any 1Link channel: EasyPaisa, JazzCash, banking apps, ATMs, internet banking or over the counter at a 1Link member bank. No hard copy is sent to BPSC.
- Sign in or register on bpsc.gob.pk and complete your profile with degrees and DMCs uploaded.
- Choose Apply Online and select Advertisement 07/2026, then Agriculture Officer or Assistant Engineer.
- Pick your zone according to your domicile and choose Quetta as the test city, since BPSC currently holds all exams in Quetta.
- Generate the PSID for Rs 800 and pay it through a 1Link channel.
- Submit before 17 November 2026, then keep the paid receipt for the exam day.

The same PSID method works across commissions, and paying a job test fee by PSID covers the screens step by step. On exam day you need your original CNIC and the downloaded admission certificate, as set out in what to bring to a BPSC exam.
BPSC's website labels this addendum as Advertisement 09/2026
On the BPSC jobs page, the addendum is listed with the words "Advertisement no 09-2026". The addendum itself says Advertisement No. 07/2026 and names only these two posts. We go by the signed document. Nothing we read extends Advertisement 09/2026.
That matters because BPSC Advertisement 09/2026, with 250 veterinary, sub-engineer and computer posts, still closes on 11 November 2026 as far as we can see. Do not wait for 17 November if you are applying under 09/2026.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 2 November 2026. We read the addendum No. PSC/(RB)/2026/2509 dated 2 November 2026 and the four page Consolidated Advertisement No. 07/2026 dated 8 September 2026, both on the BPSC jobs page, and the exam city notice on the BPSC home page. The advertisement is a phone scan; we added up the zonal seats ourselves and they match 105. We could not read the exact number of general age relaxation years in the scan, and we could not confirm why the website lists the addendum under Advertisement 09/2026.
