How to Check State Land Auctions in Punjab on the Official SLMS Portal
Check state land auctions in Punjab on the official SLMS portal: the six filters, how to read a lot, what to verify in the fard and the scam signs to avoid.

Short answer: Punjab lists state land auctions on the PLRA-linked SLMS portal at slms-public.punjab-zameen.gov.pk. You can filter by division, district, tehsil, mauza, disposal type and scheme. When we looked on 11 October 2026, the portal showed no live auctions.
Government land is sold, leased and allotted in Punjab, and the people who profit most from the process are often agents who sell a "file" for land the state has never put up for sale. The one defence a buyer has is to look at the official list yourself.
We opened the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) home page and the public SLMS portal on 11 October 2026. We did not register for a bid, because that needs a real account. So this guide covers what the public page shows and what to check before you act.
The SLMS portal is where Punjab shows state land auctions
SLMS is the State Land Management System. The PLRA home page lists it as Properties for Auction. The public portal calls itself Discover State Land Auctions and describes real-time bidding on government land lots, with verified listings and live updates on bids and status.
We did not find a legal notice on the portal that explains the rules of each sale, and we do not state any. Read the notice on the lot itself before you decide.
| Portal filter | What it narrows |
|---|---|
| Division | The administrative region |
| District | The district inside the division |
| Tehsil | The sub-district |
| Mauza | The revenue village where the land lies |
| Disposal Type | How the state is disposing of the land |
| Scheme | The scheme the land belongs to |

How to look up an auction on the portal
Open the SLMS public page, pick your division and district, then narrow to tehsil and mauza. Choose a disposal type and scheme if you know them. The page reports how many auctions match. If it says there are none, check back later.
- Open slms-public.punjab-zameen.gov.pk, or choose Properties for Auction on the PLRA home page.
- Select Division, then District, then Tehsil and Mauza.
- Choose a Disposal Type and Scheme if you know them.
- Read the count at the top, which reads Showing X of Y auctions.
- Open a lot and read its details and its status.
- Note the lot's identifiers and verify them in the land record before you pay anything.
On 11 October 2026 the portal showed Showing 0 of 0 auctions, with the message that there are no live auctions at the moment and a suggestion to check upcoming lots or refresh. That may change at any time.
Verify the land itself before any bid
An auction listing is not a guarantee of clean title in your hands. Take the mauza and khasra shown on the lot, then check the fard, the record of rights. Compare the owner name, the area and any note of a dispute or a court order.
The steps for the fard are in how to get a fard online in Punjab. For wider checks, read how to verify land records in Punjab. A land record can also carry a stay order, as we explain in recording a court order in the Punjab land record.
The portal's own page makes claims of verification and security. Treat them as the system's description of itself, and still do your own record check. Visit the site, too. Stand on the land, or send someone you trust, and compare what is there with the lot's description.
Know the taxes and the scams
Buying at an auction brings its own federal tax. We explain the advance tax paid by an auction buyer in advance tax when you buy at an auction in Pakistan. Ask the auction authority which charges apply to the lot before you bid.
The scams are simple. Someone sends a photo of a plot and a "special discount" before the auction. Someone asks for money into a personal account to "reserve" a lot. Someone says an auction is closed and a private deal is the only way in. A state land sale does not work through a personal account.
| Warning sign | What to do |
|---|---|
| Payment into a personal account | Refuse and report it |
| A lot you cannot find on the portal | Treat it as unconfirmed |
| Pressure to pay before you see the record | Walk away |
| A lookalike web address | Type the official address yourself |

PLRA lists a complaints line at (042) 111-22-22-77, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Use it if someone claims to sell land on PLRA's behalf.
