Short answer: DRAP has issued 49 recall and rapid alerts in 2026 so far, numbered 01 to 49. The latest, alert 49 on 2 November, is a fake batch of Rhophylac 300 injection. Twenty two of the 49 warn of fake, falsified or unregistered products. The other 27 recall batches that labs found substandard. The full list is below, with the date each was posted.

The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) posts every alert on its website at dra.gov.pk. Each one names the product and usually the batch number. If a medicine, vaccine or syringe in your home matches a listed batch, do not use it. We read every page of DRAP's recall alert list on 4 November 2026 to build this table.

DRAP has posted 49 alerts in 2026, the latest on 2 November

DRAP restarted its alert numbering at 01 in early 2026. Alerts from January carried on the 2025 series, up to number 136. The 2026 series runs from 01 to 49, with alert 49 posted on 2 November 2026.

The table gives each 2026 alert as DRAP titles it, shortened where long. Dates are the posting dates shown on DRAP's list. Where the list showed no date, we give the range it falls in.

"Fake" here covers DRAP's words spurious, falsified and unregistered. "Recall" means a recall for another reason, such as a voluntary or WHO recall. DTL is a provincial Drug Testing Laboratory and CDL is DRAP's Central Drugs Laboratory in Karachi. Many of the lab alerts list several products, so open the alert to see every batch.

DRAP's 49 alerts in 2026 split into 22 fake or unregistered and 27 substandard or recalled

Twenty two alerts warn of fakes, many of them injections

Twenty two of DRAP's 2026 alerts are about spurious, falsified or unregistered products. They include cancer medicines, flu vaccines, an anti-D injection given to pregnant women, and common tablets like Brexin, Augmentin and Novidat.

Two products have been faked more than once this year. Rhophylac 300, an injection given to some pregnant women, appears in alert 10 in March and alert 49 in November, with different batch numbers. Brexin tablets appear in alerts 31 and 44. For the latest Rhophylac alert, see our report on the fake Rhophylac 300 batch P100830101. For cancer medicines, see our check against DRAP's fake cancer medicine alerts.

Seven alerts are about syringes and medical devices

Seven of the 49 alerts cover syringes, devices or a cord clamp rather than medicines. Three are about auto disable syringes, used for injections and vaccines. Four other alerts are for veterinary medicines.

No alert was posted between 29 July and 19 October

DRAP's list shows alert 39 on 29 July and alert 40 on 19 October, a gap of 82 days. Then ten alerts followed within 15 days. October has nine alerts, level with March, when nine were posted on 11 March alone.

The list does not explain the gap. It may reflect when lab reports were completed and posted rather than when problems were found. Some alerts carry action dates older than the date they were posted.

Check a pack at home in five steps

Match your pack's product name and batch number against the alert. The batch number is printed on the strip, box or vial, usually near the expiry date. A match means stop using it and report it.

  1. Find the product name, batch number and maker on your pack.
  2. Look for the product in the table above, then open DRAP's alert at dra.gov.pk under Safety Information, Product Recalls.
  3. Compare the batch number exactly. A different batch of the same brand is not covered by the alert.
  4. If it matches, stop using it and return it to the pharmacy. Ask your doctor before stopping any treatment.
  5. Report it to DRAP on 0800-03727, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, or through its online reporting system.
