A wooden gavel and a brass scale on a dark desk in Islamabad, for a guide to filing a NAB complaint

You can file a complaint with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) online, by post or at a regional office, and you must back it with a signed affidavit. NAB's complaint line is 111-622-622. The online form is on nab.gov.pk and asks for your CNIC, an affidavit and any proof you hold.

We opened NAB's complaints page, its online form, its filing instructions and its sample affidavit on 11 October 2026. This guide follows those four documents. NAB is the federal body that handles corruption cases, so use it for bribery, misuse of office, cheating the public and similar charges. A private dispute belongs in a regular court.

Prepare your complaint before you open the form

NAB's own instructions list 14 points for a complaint. The text must be clear and written on one side of the page. It needs your full name, your father's name, your caste, your permanent address and any temporary address.

It also needs a mobile number, preferably with WhatsApp. NAB asks for a second contact number of a person who can reach you in an emergency, and a landline if you have one. If you work for a government body or a private company, name it.

The affidavit says your complaint is true and free of pressure

NAB publishes a sample affidavit called Proforma A. In it you swear that the allegations are true to the best of your knowledge. You also swear that your particulars are correct and that nobody pressured you.

The sample ends with a warning. If your information proves false on inquiry, you can face legal consequences under section 18(h) of the National Accountability Ordinance, 1999. That is NAB's wording, not ours. Do not file a complaint you cannot back up.

Have the affidavit attested by an Oath Commissioner, add your thumb impression and signature, and write your CNIC and contact number on it. You then upload it with the complaint.

File online in six steps

The online form works in a current Firefox or Chrome browser, and JavaScript must be on. A separate form exists for complaints from foreign companies.

  1. Open the complaints page on nab.gov.pk and click the button to submit a complaint.
  2. Choose who you are complaining against. The list has businessmen, bureaucrats, government servants, politicians, contractors and others.
  3. Choose the regional bureau. The options are NAB HQ, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, KPK, Karachi, Sukkur and Balochistan.
  4. Pick the type of allegation and the nature of the claim, add the amount in rupees and write the details.
  5. Upload the affidavit, your CNIC and your supporting papers. Each file can be a JPEG, PNG, DOCX or PDF, up to 8 MB.
  6. Fill in your name, address and contact details, then press Submit Complaint.

The form also has optional fields for your email and a bank IBAN number. NAB says that if the form fails, you should email a screenshot with the values you entered to webmaster@nab.gov.pk.

The allegation types the form lists

The form names 11 allegation types. They include misuse of authority, cheating the public at large, misappropriation of funds, money laundering, illegal allotment or lease of land, illegal appointments and assets beyond known sources of income.

The claim types include a Ponzi scheme, a plot, a housing scheme, a registry and a mutation issue. A mutation is the land record entry that shows who owns a plot. If your problem is a fake housing scheme or a fraud that took many people's money, pick the matching claim type and say how many people were hurt.

Post it or hand it in at a regional office

You do not have to use the website. NAB's contact page gives its head office address as Shahrah-e-Jamhuriat, G-5/1, Islamabad. Regional offices sit in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi and Sukkur.

The Lahore office is at the NAB Complex, Thokar Niaz Baig, Multan Road. Karachi is in the main GPO building on I.I. Chundrigar Road. Peshawar is at the PDA Commercial Complex in Hayatabad. Call 111-622-622 and ask the operator which office covers your area.

What NAB does not say on its page

NAB's complaint page does not state a time limit for a decision, and it does not publish a money threshold for the cases it takes. The law that governs NAB has been amended before, so we cannot tell you from the page whether a small sum will be accepted. Ask on 111-622-622 before you spend on a lawyer.

If your complaint is about a federal office that delayed a service, the Wafaqi Mohtasib complaint route is free and built for that. For online fraud, reporting a cybercrime to the NCCIA is the right door. A tax matter that NAB does not take may go to the FBR, as the Lahore High Court money laundering ruling shows.

Common questions

Is it free to file a complaint with NAB?

NAB's complaint page lists no fee.

Do I need a lawyer to file with NAB?

No. The form and the instructions are written for individuals, and nothing on the page asks for a lawyer.

What is NAB's complaint number?

It is 111-622-622. NAB's site lists this as its complaint UAN, and the regional offices show the same number with their own city codes.

Can I complain without giving my name?

NAB's instructions ask for your name, CNIC, address and a signed affidavit. A nameless complaint does not fit that process.

What if the online form will not submit?

Use a current Firefox or Chrome, turn JavaScript on, then email a screenshot of the form to webmaster@nab.gov.pk as NAB advises.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 11 October 2026. We read the National Accountability Bureau's complaints page, its online complaint form, the English instructions for filing a complaint, Proforma A (the sample affidavit) and its contact page, all on nab.gov.pk. We did not file a test complaint, and we found no published decision time or value threshold. Check nab.gov.pk before you file.
