The French Embassy in Pakistan's 2027 "France Excellence Pakistan: Climate Change" scholarship closes on 18 November 2026. It pays tuition, a monthly living allowance, a return ticket, social security and the visa fee for Pakistani students admitted to one of five climate-related master's programmes in France. You must be 28 or under, hold or be finishing a four-year bachelor's with a CGPA of at least 3.0, and apply through Etudes en France.

We read Campus France Pakistan's page for the 2027 call on 1 November 2026. This is a Pakistan-only scholarship, so the competition is far smaller than for global awards. The catch is the short list of eligible courses: only five master's degrees qualify, and you must apply to at least one of them.

The 2027 climate change call closes on 18 November 2026

Applications opened on 1 October 2026, and the deadline is 18 November 2026. Late applications are not eligible. Campus France Pakistan lists the results date as May 2026, which comes before the deadline and looks like a typing slip, so expect results in spring 2027.

Two of the five programmes also need a separate application on the French school's own website. Leave a week for those. Seventeen days is enough only if your transcripts and English test are already in hand.

Five French master's programmes are eligible in 2027

The eligible courses are at IMT Atlantique in Nantes, INP Pagora in Grenoble, the University of Avignon, ONIRIS and the University of Lille. They cover environmental engineering, biomaterials, agriculture and food science, One Health and international economics. No other course qualifies.

InstitutionProgrammeYears
IMT Atlantique, NantesMSc Process and Bioprocess Engineering, track in Project Management for Environmental and Energy EngineeringM1 and M2
INP Pagora, GrenobleMaster 2 in Biorefinery and BiomaterialsM2
University of Avignon, Implanteus Graduate SchoolInternational Master in Agriculture, Food Sciences, Environment and Nutrition (MAFEN)M1 and M2
ONIRISOne-Health Emerge master's degreeM2
University of LilleInternational EconomicsM1 and M2

Lille's economics master's asks for a strong background in economics, statistics or econometrics, and mathematics. A general BBA graduate will struggle there. Match the course to your degree rather than to the city.

Pakistani applicants must be 28 or under with a CGPA of 3.0

You must be a Pakistani national, no older than 28 when you apply, with a four-year bachelor's degree or in its fourth year. You need a CGPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 from an HEC-recognised university and no more than two years since graduating. French is helpful but not required.

  • Pakistani nationality.
  • Age 28 or under at the time of application.
  • A four-year bachelor's degree, or enrolment in its fourth year.
  • CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher, from a university recognised by HEC.
  • No more than a two-year gap after your bachelor's.
  • A commitment to share content about your studies with Campus France Pakistan.

The selection panel looks at academic results, the quality of your statement of purpose and your English. A link between your Pakistani university and the French school helps. The embassy also says it weighs gender balance and representation from every province, and it strongly encourages women to apply.

The scholarship pays tuition, an allowance, a flight and the visa fee

The award covers tuition fees, a monthly living allowance, one return ticket from Pakistan to France, the student visa and Etudes en France fees, social security, help with affordable housing including priority for CROUS residences, and free French classes before you leave. The page does not state the allowance amount.

The Etudes en France fee is PKR 30,000. You pay it when you apply, and it is refunded on request only if you win the scholarship. So every applicant risks Rs 30,000, and only winners get it back.

Rules that end the award: you must study and do your M2 internship in France, the scholarship cannot fund a mobility period abroad, you cannot switch programme between M1 and M2, and failing first-year exams ends a two-year award.

Apply through Etudes en France, and for two schools on their own sites too

All five programmes are applied for on Campus France's Etudes en France platform. You may choose up to seven programmes there, but only the five listed degrees count for this scholarship. IMT Atlantique and INP Pagora also require an application on their own websites.

  1. Pick one or more of the five eligible programmes that match your bachelor's.
  2. Check your age, CGPA and graduation gap against the rules.
  3. Create your file on Etudes en France and pay the PKR 30,000 fee.
  4. For IMT Atlantique, also apply at imt-atlantique.fr/apply.
  5. For INP Pagora, also apply on the Grenoble INP application form.
  6. Upload transcripts, degree, English test and a statement of purpose.
  7. Submit everything before 18 November 2026.
Steps to apply for the France Excellence Pakistan climate change scholarship

Your English test is the item most applicants lack. If you need one quickly, compare the IELTS fee in Pakistan with the TOEFL fee in Pakistan, and check result times before you book. Transcripts may need attestation, so start HEC degree attestation now if your university asks for it.

Students who miss this call, or study a different subject, can still aim for France through the global Eiffel scholarship, which French universities nominate for by early January.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read Campus France Pakistan's 2027 call France Excellence Pakistan: Climate Change page and its home page on 1 November 2026. All dates, programmes, eligibility rules, coverage and the PKR 30,000 fee come from that page. The results date is printed as May 2026, which cannot be right for a November 2026 deadline; we could not confirm the correct date. The page gives neither the monthly allowance amount nor the number of scholarships, so we do not state them.
