France Student Visa from Pakistan: Etudes en France Closes 18 November, PKR 30,000 Fee, €877.50 a Month
France student visa from Pakistan starts on Etudes en France, closing 18 November 2026. PKR 30,000 fee, €877.50 a month funds, interview in Islamabad. Steps.

Every Pakistani applying for a long-stay French student visa must first go through Campus France's Etudes en France platform. For the 2027 intake, Etudes en France applications close on 18 November 2026 and the PKR 30,000 fee is due by 30 November. After admission, you book a visa interview at the French Consulate in Islamabad through AEG and show at least €877.50 a month. The consulate decides in 2 weeks to 2 months.
We read Campus France Pakistan's candidature campaign page, its rules page and its long-stay student visa page on 1 November 2026. France runs a two-stage system: an academic file with Campus France first, then the visa. Missing the first stage's November deadline closes the door for most public universities until next year.
The Etudes en France window for 2027 closes on 18 November 2026
Campus France Pakistan opened the 2027 Etudes en France campaign on 1 October 2026. Applications close on 18 November 2026, the fee must be paid by 30 November, files are reviewed from December to March, and French universities publish results by 30 April 2027.
| Stage | Date |
|---|---|
| Applications open | 1 October 2026 |
| Applications close | 18 November 2026 |
| Fee payment deadline | 30 November 2026 |
| Campus France Pakistan review and interviews | December 2026 to March 2027 |
| University review | March to April 2027 |
| University results | 30 April 2027 |
| Final choice of programme | 31 May 2027 (the calendar table also shows 30 May) |
The two final-choice dates on the page disagree by one day. Use 30 May to be safe. Visa interviews follow the university results, so plan for the consulate stage from May 2027 onward.

The Etudes en France fee is PKR 30,000 and is not refunded
Campus France Pakistan charges PKR 30,000 for the Etudes en France service. You pay it to Alliance Française Karachi only after you receive a payment request by email, and you have one week to pay. French government and Erasmus Mundus scholarship holders are exempt or reimbursed.
The fee is described as non-refundable. A rejection by every university does not bring it back. So shortlist courses you genuinely fit before paying, rather than spreading choices thinly.
After paying, you declare the payment on the platform and email the deposit slip. If Campus France asks for corrections, you have two working days to fix and resubmit the file.
Applicants need a passport valid 18 months, attested papers and an English test
The Etudes en France document list asks for a passport valid at least 18 months after the intake date, a white-background photo, school certificates preferably attested by IBCC, degree and transcripts preferably attested by HEC, a CV, experience letters, a gap letter for any gap over six months and an English certificate.
- Passport valid at least 18 months after the start of your programme.
- Passport-size photo on a white background.
- SSC or O Level and HSSC or A Level documents, preferably attested by IBCC.
- Bachelor's or master's degree and transcript, preferably attested by HEC.
- CV, plus experience letters or certificates.
- A letter explaining any gap of more than six months.
- IELTS or another English certificate.
Write your motivation in the field on the platform. Campus France says not to upload a separate motivation letter. The passport rule differs between Campus France pages: the visa page says 15 months from the start of the programme, the application page says 18 months. Follow the stricter 18 months.
School certificates can be attested through IBCC attestation of Matric and Inter certificates, and degrees through HEC degree attestation. Both take time, so start before 18 November.

The academic interview takes place at Alliance Française in three cities
After the file is checked, you attend an academic interview in person at Alliance Française in Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi. Bring your original documents and the fee slip. The interview is with Campus France Pakistan, not with the consulate, and it comes before any visa step.
Applicants must live in Pakistan and apply for a programme longer than three months. Campus France also says you cannot reapply to the same programme in the same academic year after a visa refusal. Students who already hold a direct admission from a French school use the separate pre-consular route on the same platform.
The visa needs €877.50 a month and an interview at the consulate in Islamabad
Once a French institution admits you, fill the France-Visas form, then book a student visa appointment at the French Consulate in Islamabad through AEG. Campus France Pakistan says you need at least €877.50 a month for living costs. The consulate decides in 2 weeks to 2 months after the interview.
- Finish Etudes en France and confirm one programme by 30 May 2027.
- Fill in the long-stay student visa form on the France-Visas website.
- Book an appointment at the French Consulate in Islamabad through AEG; slots are limited.
- Bring your passport, photos, form, bank statement and proof of accommodation.
- Show at least €877.50 a month for your stay.
- Pay the consulate fee at the consulate and attend the interview.
- Wait 2 weeks to 2 months for the decision.
By our arithmetic, €877.50 a month comes to €10,530 for a 12-month year. Campus France says it has no influence on the consulate's decision. The consulate fee amount is not on the Campus France page, and AEG updates the document list, so check AEG's site before your appointment.

Scholarship winners skip part of the cost. Students hoping for the global Eiffel award or the French Embassy's Pakistan scholarships still go through Etudes en France, and winners are exempt from the fee or get it back. Fees for a Pakistani passport renewal in France matter later, once you are living there.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read Campus France Pakistan's Etudes en France candidature campaign page, its long-stay student visa page and its EeF rules page (updated 14 September 2026) on 1 November 2026. The pages conflict on two points: the final choice date (30 or 31 May 2027) and passport validity (15 or 18 months). We show both and advise the stricter reading. The €10,530 figure is our arithmetic. We could not find the consulate visa fee or AEG's service charge on these pages.
