Get 50 Percent Tuition Concession at OPF Schools for Up to Four Children of Overseas Pakistanis
OPF schools give first admission right and 50 per cent off monthly tuition for up to four children of overseas Pakistanis. See the dates and what to ask.

OPF schools and colleges give children of overseas Pakistanis first right to admission, and up to four children in one family get 50 per cent off the monthly tuition fee. Admission stays open all year for these children. The general public can also join, but only on merit.
If you work abroad and want your children in a school at home, the fee decides a lot. We read OPF's admission policy page on 21 October 2026. It gives the rules in short points. It does not give any fee amounts, so ask the school you want for its current fee sheet.
Up to four children of overseas Pakistanis get half the tuition fee
OPF says children of overseas Pakistanis have first right to admission in all OPF institutions. Up to four children get a 50 per cent concession in monthly tuition fees. The concession covers tuition only, so other charges may still apply.
The page says "tuition fees", and it does not say that admission, annual or exam charges are halved too. Assume they are not until the school confirms it in writing.
Here is how the halving works, using a made up fee. If a school charged Rs 10,000 a month in tuition, a child with the concession would pay Rs 5,000. Four children would cost Rs 20,000 a month instead of Rs 40,000. The real fee depends on the school and class.

Admission dates depend on the class
Pre-Nursery to Class 8 registration runs from January to April each year. Intermediate first year starts after the Islamabad board announces Matric results. O Level and A Level admissions happen each August or September. Children of overseas Pakistanis can apply at any time of year.
| Class | When to apply | Who can apply |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-Nursery to Class 8 | January to April | Overseas Pakistani children all year, others in this window |
| Intermediate, first year | After the Islamabad board announces Matric results | Overseas Pakistani children first, others on merit |
| O Level and A Level | August or September | Overseas Pakistani children first, others on merit |
OPF's wording is that admissions "remain open throughout the year only for the children of Overseas Pakistanis". So a family returning in March, after the January to April window, can still apply, while a neighbour cannot.

Other children are admitted on merit only
Children from the general public are admitted "in accordance with the prevailing policy, strictly on a merit basis". Seats for them depend on what is left after overseas Pakistani children have been placed. The page gives no number of seats or a merit formula.
This matters for the relatives of overseas workers. A cousin's child is not a child of an overseas Pakistani, so the concession and the first right will not apply to that child.
Show OPF membership first
The admission policy page speaks of children of "overseas Pakistanis", and OPF's other services run on a registered membership. So get the card first. The steps and papers are in how to get an OPF membership card.
The policy page does not list the documents a school will ask for at the gate. We could not verify that part, so ask the school office which papers it wants before you travel.
- Register with OPF and keep the membership proof.
- Pick the school and class. The list of OPF schools and colleges by city shows 25 institutions.
- Call or visit the school and ask for the current fee sheet and the admission form.
- Ask in writing which charges the 50 per cent concession covers.
- Submit the form and keep the receipt.

If the school refuses or delays, complain to OPF
OPF runs a complaint cell for members. If a school will not give the concession or says admission is closed for your child, write to it. The numbers and the WhatsApp route are in how to lodge a complaint with OPF.
Keep dates, names and any message from the school. A clear record helps OPF ask the school the right question. A scholarship for older students is a separate matter, covered in OPF scholarships for children and spouses.
Common questions
How much is the OPF fee concession?
It is 50 per cent of the monthly tuition fee, and OPF says it applies to up to four children of overseas Pakistanis. The page does not say it covers other charges.
Can my child join an OPF school in the middle of the year?
OPF says admissions stay open throughout the year for children of overseas Pakistanis in all its schools and colleges. A seat in the class still has to be available.
When does Pre-Nursery to Class 8 registration happen?
OPF says registration for these classes is open from January to April each year. That window is for the general public. Overseas Pakistani children can apply outside it.
When do Intermediate first year admissions start?
They start after the Islamabad board of intermediate and secondary education announces the Matriculation results. OPF gives no fixed calendar date.
Do OPF schools take children who are not from overseas families?
Yes, on merit. OPF says children of the general public are eligible under the prevailing policy, but overseas Pakistani children have the first right.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read OPF's admission policy page in full on 21 October 2026. The page gives no fee amounts, no document list and no seat numbers. We did not call any OPF school, so we could not verify what each school charges or which fees the concession covers.
