Gold was reported at Rs 422,036 a tola for 24 karat in Pakistan on Saturday 24 October 2026, down Rs 2,500 in the day, with 10 grams at Rs 361,827. That is Rs 17,000 lower than a week earlier and Rs 20,000 below the October high of Rs 442,036 on 10 October. Sarafa markets do not set a fresh rate on Sunday, so the Saturday rate is the one jewellers quote on 25 October.

Below you will find the rate in tola, 10 grams and 1 gram, our purity estimates for 22, 21 and 18 karat, every daily rate of October 2026, and what a buyer pays for common weights. The rates are reported, not read at the source. The sarafa association that sets them has no website we could find, and we explain how we checked them in the last section.

Gold is Rs 422,036 a tola on 24 October 2026, down Rs 2,500

The 24 karat rate fell Rs 2,500 to Rs 422,036 a tola on Saturday, and 10 grams fell Rs 2,144 to Rs 361,827. It came a day after a Rs 7,000 fall on Friday 23 October, the biggest single drop of the month.

Unit24 karat rate, 24 October 2026Change in the day
1 tolaRs 422,036Rs 2,500 lower
10 gramsRs 361,827Rs 2,144 lower
1 gramRs 36,182.70Rs 214.40 lower

The gram figure is our own division of the 10 gram rate. The two reported figures also tell you which tola the market uses: Rs 422,036 divided by Rs 36,182.70 gives 11.664 grams to a tola. If you need to convert other weights, the reasons gold rates differ between sources come down mostly to this tola figure and to rounding.

Gold rate in Pakistan on 24 October 2026: Rs 422,036 a tola for 24 karat

Gold lost Rs 17,000 a tola in five trading days

Gold fell on every day from Tuesday 20 October to Saturday 24 October. The five falls were Rs 3,600, Rs 900, Rs 3,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 2,500, which adds up to Rs 17,000. Monday 19 October had closed unchanged at Rs 439,036.

On Friday the international price was reported at $4,020 an ounce, down $70 in a day. Pakistan's rate follows that dollar price, converted at the rupee rate. The rupee barely moved in the same week: the State Bank of Pakistan's revaluation rate for 23 October was Rs 276.8236 to the dollar, against Rs 276.9022 on 19 October. So almost all of the fall came from the world gold price, not from the rupee.

Silver followed the same direction. It was reported at Rs 5,865 a tola after Friday's session, down Rs 221. We did not find a separate Saturday silver figure. The silver value in tola and purity works the same way as gold.

October opened at Rs 438,636 a tola, peaked at Rs 442,036 on 10 October and reached its lowest point on 24 October. No rate is set on Sundays, which is why 4, 11 and 18 October are missing.

Against 1 October, a tola is now Rs 16,600 cheaper. Against the 10 October high, it is Rs 20,000 cheaper, a fall of about 4.5 per cent. The 10 and 12 October figures match our own gold rate for 22 October and earlier daily pages, so the series is consistent.

22, 21 and 18 karat gold cost less in proportion to purity

Our purity estimates for 24 October are Rs 386,866 a tola for 22 karat, Rs 369,282 for 21 karat and Rs 316,527 for 18 karat. These come from the 24 karat rate times the karat share, so the association's own karat figures can differ slightly.

That difference is real. For Friday's Rs 424,536 rate, the association's 22 karat figure was reported at Rs 388,823, about Rs 335 below a pure 22 out of 24 share. Its 21 karat figure was Rs 371,469 and its 18 karat figure Rs 318,402. Treat our numbers as a guide and ask the jeweller which rate sheet they use.

What a buyer pays for common weights today

At Rs 422,036 a tola, half a tola of 24 karat gold costs Rs 211,018 and a 5 gram piece costs Rs 180,914 before making charges. Jewellery adds a making charge and, at a registered shop, sales tax, so the final bill is higher than the metal value.

  1. Find the weight in tola or grams on the jeweller's scale.
  2. Multiply by the rate for the right karat, not the 24 karat rate.
  3. Add the making charge the shop quotes, per tola or per piece.
  4. Add sales tax if the shop charges it on its invoice.
  5. Ask for a written receipt that shows weight, karat and rate.

The full method, with a worked example, is in calculating the price of gold jewellery. The tax side is set out in tax on buying gold, and the Federal Board of Revenue publishes the Sales Tax Act that sets it. If you hold gold for a year, a fall like this also changes your zakat sum, and zakat on gold and silver shows how.

One honest point. A Rs 20,000 fall in two weeks looks like a bargain, and it may be. But gold rose to that peak in a few days too. Nobody can tell you the next move, and we will not guess.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 25 October 2026 at about 02:30 PKT. The 24 karat tola and 10 gram rates, the daily October series, the 23 October karat figures, silver and the international price are reported figures. We read them on 25 October 2026 in published market reports that cite the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, because the association has no website we could find. We checked that the series matches the rates on our earlier daily pages. The rupee rates come from the State Bank of Pakistan's revaluation sheets for 19 and 23 October, which we read on 25 October. The gram rate, the karat estimates, the weekly and monthly changes and the weight costs are our own arithmetic. We could not verify a Saturday silver rate or the Saturday international gold price.
