The gold rate in Pakistan on Tuesday 6 October 2026 is Rs 437,536 per tola for 24 karat and Rs 375,116 per 10 grams. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association left both unchanged from Monday, so gold did not move for the first time this week.
Monday's session added Rs 1,200 a tola. Tuesday's session added nothing. The international ounce price also held at about 4,150 dollars, and silver stayed at Rs 6,588 a tola. Until Wednesday's session is reported, Rs 437,536 is the rate gold opens with on 7 October.
We could not read the rate at source. The association has no website we could find, the same gap we have noted on every gold report since mid September. Every rate below is the association's figure as reported. We checked that Tuesday's figures match Monday's to the rupee.
The gold rate in Pakistan is Rs 437,536 a tola on 6 October
Gold is Rs 437,536 per tola and Rs 375,116 per 10 grams for 24 karat, the association rate reported for 6 October 2026. Silver is Rs 6,588 a tola. International gold was reported at about 4,150 dollars an ounce. All three are the same as Monday.

| Rate | Set on 6 October | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| 24K gold per tola | Rs 437,536, no change | Association rate, reported |
| 24K gold per 10 grams | Rs 375,116, no change | Association rate, reported |
| 22K gold per tola | About Rs 401,075 | Our arithmetic, 22 parts in 24 |
| 21K gold per tola | About Rs 382,844 | Our arithmetic, 21 parts in 24 |
| Silver per tola | Rs 6,588, no change | Association rate, reported |
| International gold | About 4,150 dollars an ounce, no change | Reported |
The 22 and 21 karat figures are simple fractions of the 24 karat rate. A jeweller's own 22 karat quote can differ by a few rupees. A gram of 24 karat works out at about Rs 37,512.

These are metal prices only. A shop adds making charges and a margin on top. The tola and karat arithmetic behind every rate list is the one we used here.
Gold held still after Monday's Rs 1,200 rise
Gold fell Rs 4,300 a tola on Saturday 3 October, rose Rs 1,200 on Monday and did not move on Tuesday. That leaves it Rs 3,100 below where it closed on Friday 2 October. A flat day after a sharp fall is common and means little by itself.
- 30 September: Rs 441,636 a tola, the highest rate in this list.
- 1 October: down Rs 3,000 to Rs 438,636.
- 2 October: up Rs 2,000 to Rs 440,636.
- 3 October: down Rs 4,300 to Rs 436,336, the rate in our 4 October report.
- 5 October: up Rs 1,200 to Rs 437,536, as set out in our 5 October report.
- 6 October: no change, Rs 437,536.
The 10 gram figure also held at Rs 375,116, and silver stayed at Rs 6,588. That silver rate was reported on Monday as a new record, so Tuesday's figure is level with the high.

Gold is still Rs 28,600 a tola below its 1 September rate
Gold started September at Rs 466,136 a tola. At Rs 437,536 it is Rs 28,600 lower, about 6.1 per cent, by our arithmetic. It is also Rs 13,400 below the Rs 450,936 rate of 26 September.
| Compared with | Rate then | Change to Rs 437,536 |
|---|---|---|
| 1 September 2026 | Rs 466,136 | Down Rs 28,600, about 6.1 per cent |
| 26 September | Rs 450,936 | Down Rs 13,400, about 3.0 per cent |
| 30 September | Rs 441,636 | Down Rs 4,100 |
| 2 October | Rs 440,636 | Down Rs 3,100 |
| 3 October | Rs 436,336 | Up Rs 1,200 |
So a steady Tuesday does not change the bigger picture. Gold has spent five weeks drifting lower. Two quiet sessions in a row would be the first sign of the market settling, and we have one.
A flat ounce price kept the local rate flat
The Pakistani rate follows the international ounce price turned into rupees per tola. The ounce stayed at about 4,150 dollars, so the local rate had no reason to move. The rupee figure behind the rate stayed close to Rs 281.
A tola is 0.375 of an ounce. At 4,150 dollars, a tola of gold is worth about 1,556 dollars. Divide Rs 437,536 by that and you get about Rs 281 per dollar, the same figure we found on every report since 26 September.

That Rs 281 is our own sum, not an exchange rate you can trade at. It sits a little above the State Bank's interbank dollar rate, which is normal. The 6 October dollar rate shows that rate was also almost still.
Buyers should ask which day's rate the shop is using
If you buy on Wednesday morning, a fair rate is Tuesday's Rs 437,536 until a new session is reported. After that, it should be Wednesday's rate, which may be higher or lower. Ask before the jeweller starts weighing.
- Note the association rate and the date it was set.
- Ask for the gold rate and the making charge as two separate figures.
- Check the karat stamp. 916 means 22 karat and 875 means 21 karat.
- Get the weight, karat, rate and making charge written on the receipt.
- If you are selling, ask for the shop's buying rate first. It is lower than the association rate.
The receipt also matters for tax. The sales tax on gold jewellery is 3 per cent of the sale value, and a proper bill shows what you paid. Rate websites often show an old number under today's date, so match the figure to the session date before you agree a price.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked at about 6:20am PKT on 7 October 2026, before Wednesday's session. Gold rates change every session, so check the day's rate before you buy or sell.
We could not read the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association rate at source, because we found no website for it. The 6 October tola, 10 gram, silver and ounce figures are the association's figures as reported that day, and each equals the 5 October figure. The 30 September to 3 October and 1 September rates are from our earlier reports. The 22 and 21 karat rates, the per gram rate, the changes over the week and month and the implied rupee per dollar figure are our own arithmetic.
