A small seedling in a terracotta pot, for Google Play Console payouts in Pakistan

Google Play pays app developers in Pakistan by wire transfer in US dollars, once your earned balance reaches at least $100, around the 15th of the month after the sale. Pakistan is on Google's list of countries that can register both as a developer and as a merchant, so you can sell paid apps and in-app purchases from here. Registration costs a one-time $25, paid by card.

Many Pakistani developers publish free apps and never set up the merchant side, or set it up and then wonder why no money arrives. Below is what Google requires, the payout calendar, the minimum, the service fee you pay, the bank details to use, and the reasons a payout gets stuck. We read Google's Play Console Help pages on supported locations, wire transfer payouts, payouts and service fees on 31 October 2026.

Pakistan can register as a Google Play developer and merchant

Google's supported locations table marks Pakistan with a tick for developer registration and a tick for merchant registration. The merchant account is what lets you charge for apps, subscriptions and in-app items. Its default currency is shown as PKR, with a note that payouts come in US dollars or euros.

Wire transfer is not a choice you make. It is the route Google lists for merchants in Pakistan and dozens of other countries, including Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and the Gulf states.

Sales in one month are paid around the 15th of the next

Google pays monthly. Orders processed, refunded or charged back from the 1st to the end of a month are paid out around the 15th of the following month. Your bank may take several more days to credit the wire, and Google does not start deposits on weekends or banking holidays.

So October's sales should leave Google around 15 November. If your balance is under $100 at payout time, it carries forward until it crosses the line. The Payments profile page in Play Console is not live: Google says it updates within 24 hours of a payout.

Buyers also get a short cancellation window. Google gives them two hours after buying an app before it charges the card and counts the sale towards your payout.

How to set up Google Play payouts from Pakistan

Create the developer account, pay the $25 fee, verify your identity, then set up the merchant payments profile and add a bank account that can receive US dollar wires. A dollar account in Pakistan is the cleanest choice, and Google itself prefers one where your bank offers it.

  1. Sign up for Play Console with your Google account. You must be at least 18.
  2. Accept the Developer Distribution Agreement.
  3. Pay the US$25 fee with a Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Visa Electron card. Prepaid cards are not accepted.
  4. Choose a personal or organisation account and verify your identity with a government ID in your legal name.
  5. Set up the merchant payments profile in Play Console's monetisation settings.
  6. Add your bank account for wire payouts, ideally a US dollar account.
  7. Publish a paid app or in-app product and wait for the monthly payout.

Google warns that if your ID or card details are found invalid, the $25 is not refunded. Use a card in your own name with online international payments switched on; the switch is explained in turning online payments on or off on your debit card. Personal accounts must also pass Google's testing and device verification steps before publishing.

Seven steps to set up Google Play Console payouts in Pakistan

The service fee depends on where your buyer is

For buyers in most countries, including Pakistan, Google charges 15% on the first $1 million a developer earns each year if you are enrolled in the 15% tier, and 30% above that. Auto-renewing subscriptions are charged 15%. Buyers in the US, UK, EEA, Australia and Japan follow a newer schedule.

For those five markets, Google now separates new installs from existing ones, with fees starting at 10% plus a 5% billing fee on the first $1 million. The details change with the type of sale, so read Google's table if most of your buyers are abroad.

A worked example for a buyer in Pakistan: an in-app item sold for Rs 1,000 under the 15% tier leaves Rs 850 before tax. Your payout then arrives in US dollars, so the rupee value you finally receive depends on the exchange rate on the day.

A missing Google Play payout is usually a bank or balance problem

If no payout arrived, check three things first: whether your balance reached US$100, whether the merchant profile and bank account are complete, and whether your bank received but held the wire. Google says wire fees are set by your bank and can range from $0 to $50 or more.

Ask your bank's foreign remittance desk to search for an incoming wire from Google around the 15th. Give them the payout reference from Play Console once it updates. A fee deducted by an intermediary bank explains a smaller amount, not a missing one.

If you are paying for apps yourself rather than selling them, the buyer side is different: paying on Google Play with JazzCash or Easypaisa covers that.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 31 October 2026. We read Google's supported locations for developer and merchant registration, wire transfer payouts, order processing and payouts, service fees and get started with Play Console pages on support.google.com on 31 October 2026. The Rs 1,000 example is our arithmetic and ignores tax. We did not register a merchant account or receive a payout.
