How to Apply Online for the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme Phase 5

Phase 5 of the CM Punjab Green Tractor Program is open at gts.punjab.gov.pk. It gives a subsidy of Rs 10 lakh on a 75 to 125 horsepower tractor, but only to Punjab farmers with verified ownership of at least 7 acres. No last date is shown on the portal yet.

Phase 4, for smaller 50 to 65 horsepower tractors, has already been balloted, and its provisional results are live on the same portal. We read the portal's Phase 5 terms, its application form, the Agriculture Department's scheme page and the Phase 5 paper form on 26 September 2026.

One figure going round is wrong for Phase 5. A subsidy of Rs 750,000 was reported for Phase 4 at the launch. The Phase 5 terms on the portal say Rs 10 lakh, which is Rs 1,000,000.

Green Tractor Phase 5 gives Rs 10 lakh on 75 to 125 HP tractors

Phase 5 is the "Hi-Power" round of the Chief Minister's Punjab Green Tractor Program for 2026-27. A farmer picked in the digital balloting gets Rs 10 lakh off a 75 to 125 horsepower tractor, local or imported. The farmer pays the rest.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz opened the Phase 5 portal on 23 September 2026 at the Phase 4 balloting, according to reports of the launch. The same reports say Phase 5 has 9,500 tractors and Phase 4 had 10,000, so about 19,500 this financial year. We could not find those tractor counts on a government page, so treat them as reported.

Who can apply for the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme Phase 5

You must live in Punjab, hold a valid CNIC and have verified ownership of at least 7 acres of farm land. Past winners of Phases 1 to 4 or the Wheat Incentive Program cannot apply, and nor can Kissan Card defaulters.

Those are the portal's own terms for Phase 5. The department can check your land through revenue records or a field visit. Two points trip people up:

• The land must be in your name. The paper form asks for your total area "according to land records" and a copy of your current fard. If your share has not been transferred after a death in the family, fix that first. You can get a fard of your land in Punjab online.
• A missed Kissan Card payment shuts you out. The terms bar defaulters outright. If you use the card, check your repayments are clear before you apply. The Kisan Card is a separate scheme, but the two are linked here.

An older Agriculture Department poster on the scheme page says "5 acres and above" and 20,000 tractors. That appears to describe an earlier round. The Phase 5 terms on the application portal say 7 acres, and those are the terms you agree to when you apply.

How to apply online at gts.punjab.gov.pk

Open gts.punjab.gov.pk, enter your CNIC and mobile number, choose local or imported, then pick the brand, model and horsepower. Tick "New Application", agree to the terms, type the captcha and submit. We saw no application fee on the form.

1. Open gts.punjab.gov.pk on a phone or computer. The Agriculture Department's website links to it as "Apply for CM HI-Power Green Tractor".
2. Enter your 13-digit CNIC and a mobile number in your own name.
3. Choose "Local" or "Imported" as the tractor category.
4. Pick the make, then the model, then the horsepower. The lists fill in one after another.
5. Select "New Application". Use "Update Application" only to change an application you already made.
6. Read and tick the terms and conditions, type the captcha, and press Submit.

Choose the tractor carefully. The terms say the company and model you select "cannot be changed later on". When we opened the lists, the local makes were Millat, Al-Ghazi, Pak Tractors, Buraq, Orient and Universal Agri. The imported makes were Millat, YTO, Zoomlion, Agri Master and Lovol.

We found no SMS code for Phase 5 on the portal or the department's page. Apply on the portal and nowhere else. If you are asked to send your CNIC by SMS or WhatsApp to an unknown number, do not.

Farmers in non-digital mauzas can use the paper form

If your village land records are not yet digital, the Agriculture Department publishes a Phase 5 paper form for "non-digital mauzas". It asks for your details, land area, district, tehsil and village, and your tractor choice, with copies of your CNIC and fard attached.

The form is on the department's Green Tractor page as "Download Application Form". It also asks for the name of an heir in case of the applicant's death, and your signature or thumb impression. The form does not say where to hand it in. Ask your local agriculture extension office, or call the Agriculture Helpline on 0800-17000, open from 8 am to 8 pm every day.

What you pay and the rules after you win

A winner gets an allotment letter, then pays their own share of the tractor price plus the registration, card, number plate and transaction fees within the set time. The tractor must stay in your name for at least 3 years. Selling it earlier is an offence.

The paper form adds that anyone who sells early must pay the subsidy back. The government can also withdraw the subsidy without notice, and can reject an application if it finds any irregularity during checks.

Plan for the cash. The subsidy covers only part of the price, and the balance is due within the set time after the letter. If you would need a loan, sort it before the ballot, not after. Other help for farmers is set out in Punjab's schemes for farmers.

How to check the Green Tractor ballot result

Open the ballot result link on gts.punjab.gov.pk, enter your CNIC and the captcha, and submit. Phase 4 results are live now. The list is provisional: winners' land is checked again with the Punjab Land Records Authority, and winners are screened against Schedule-IV.

Schedule-IV means the Fourth Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997, a list of people the state watches on security grounds. If you win, collect your allotment letter from the Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) office in your district. No Phase 5 ballot date has been announced.

No last date is shown on gts.punjab.gov.pk or the Agriculture Department's page as of 26 September 2026. Apply early rather than wait for one.

How much subsidy does Phase 5 give?
