Azadi Offers 2026: What Is Actually Live, and What Usually Lands Before 14 August

Azadi season has started. PTCL opened first with a Flash Fiber offer, and the mobile networks have not moved yet.

This piece separates what is actually confirmed from what people are already searching for, because in the second week of August those two things drift a long way apart. We will update it as each network announces rather than guessing now.

PTCL Flash Fiber is the one offer that is live

PTCL has launched the Flash Fiber Azaadi Offer 2026 at Rs 4,999 inclusive of tax. It bundles the fibre connection with SHOQ TV, which comes as a Google certified Android TV box giving live channels, on demand content and the usual streaming apps.

Two conditions matter and both are easy to miss in the marketing.

It is for new Flash Fiber customers only. If you already have Flash Fiber, this is not a plan you can switch onto. And it runs for a limited period across PTCL Flash Fiber coverage areas, which is not the whole country. Flash Fiber is fibre to the home, so availability is street by street rather than city by city. Check your address before you plan around it.

The SHOQ box is the part worth weighing. A Google certified Android TV box is a real device, not a branded dongle, and it works with the apps you would install on any Android TV. If you were going to buy one anyway, the bundle economics change. If you already have a smart TV, you are paying for something you can already do.

The mobile networks have not announced anything yet

How Azadi season has run in previous years

The pattern below is drawn from how offers have appeared in past years. It is a guide to when to start checking, not a schedule anybody has published.

1. Late July to early August. Broadband and fibre move first, because a home internet sale takes days to install and the provider wants it closed before the date.
2. First week of August. Mobile networks announce data and minute bundles, usually themed around the numbers 14 or 47 or 78.
3. Around 10 to 13 August. Retailers and brands run phone discounts and instalment plans. This is when the largest price drops appear.
4. 14 August itself. Everything peaks, then most offers close within a few days.

What makes an Azadi offer worth taking

Most of them are not deals. They are the same product with a flag on it. Three questions sort the two apart.

Is the comparison against what you actually pay? A bundle advertised as saving forty per cent is usually measured against list price. If you are on a promotional rate already, the saving can be zero or negative.

What happens when the offer ends? This is where most of the cost hides. A discounted first three months on a twelve month contract is a discount on a quarter of the term. Ask what the standard rate is and multiply it out.

Are you paying for something you will use? A TV box, an entertainment subscription and a bundled device all have a price inside the package whether you switch them on or not.

None of this makes the PTCL offer a bad one. A Google certified box at that price point is genuinely part of the value. It just means the answer depends on your house rather than on the advertisement.

Buying a phone during Azadi sales

Two things specific to Pakistan are worth remembering before you buy anything imported during a sale.
