A brass key on a dark wooden table, for an article on what a JazzCash ReadyCash loan costs

Short answer: JazzCash ReadyCash charges 5% of the loan for every week you keep it, for up to 8 weeks. Rs 10,000 costs Rs 12,000 if you repay by week 4 (28 days) and Rs 14,000 at week 8. The most you can owe in fees is 40% of what you borrowed.

A Rs 10,000 loan sounds small when it lands in your wallet in a minute. The bill is what matters. Four weeks later you owe Rs 2,000 more than you borrowed, and that is the cheap case.

We read JazzCash's own ReadyCash page on 12 October 2026, including its fee table. Here is what the loan costs week by week, what happens if you miss the due date and how to keep the cost down. We cover how to apply in a separate step by step guide to ReadyCash, so this page is only about the money.

ReadyCash adds 5% of the loan for every week you owe it

JazzCash says the ReadyCash fee is 5% per week, with a standard due date of 28 days and a maximum tenure of 56 days. The fee is a share of the original amount, not of what is left. A longer wait always costs more.

That makes the arithmetic simple. Take 5% of the loan, then multiply by the number of weeks. After week 1 the fee is 5%. After week 4 it is 20%. After week 8 it is 40%.

Week you repayFeeYou owe on Rs 10,000
Week 15%Rs 10,500
Week 210%Rs 11,000
Week 4 (standard due date)20%Rs 12,000
Week 630%Rs 13,000
Week 8 (longest allowed)40%Rs 14,000

The percentages come from JazzCash's table. The rupee column is our sum for a Rs 10,000 loan.

What a Rs 10,000 JazzCash ReadyCash loan costs by week: Rs 10,500 in week 1, Rs 12,000 in week 4 and Rs 14,000 in week 8

What different loan sizes cost at 28 days and 56 days

At the 28 day due date you pay 20% extra. If you wait the full 56 days you pay 40% extra. A Rs 1,000 loan costs Rs 200 or Rs 400 in fees. A Rs 50,000 loan costs Rs 10,000 or Rs 20,000.

Amount borrowedTotal at 28 days (20%)Total at 56 days (40%)
Rs 1,000Rs 1,200Rs 1,400
Rs 5,000Rs 6,000Rs 7,000
Rs 10,000Rs 12,000Rs 14,000
Rs 25,000Rs 30,000Rs 35,000
Rs 50,000Rs 60,000Rs 70,000

Put in plain terms, borrowing Rs 10,000 for four weeks costs Rs 2,000. A bank card cash advance or a personal loan is far cheaper for the same period, as the rates in the comparison of personal loans from eight banks show. ReadyCash exists for speed and for people with no bank loan, not for price.

Total owed on JazzCash ReadyCash loans of Rs 1,000 to Rs 50,000 at 28 days and 56 days

The loan limit on the page is Rs 100 to Rs 50,000

JazzCash says selected users are eligible based on their credit score, with limits from Rs 100 to Rs 50,000. You cannot ask for an amount above your own limit. The app shows your limit before you confirm.

One detail does not match. The fee table lower on the same page uses a Rs 65,000 example, which is above the Rs 50,000 limit stated in the FAQ. We could not tell from the page whether higher limits exist for some users. Treat Rs 50,000 as the stated limit and trust the figure the app shows you.

The related ReadyLoad service uses the same 5% a week for up to 8 weeks. It lets you buy mobile load and packages on credit, on any network, up to Rs 50,000.

Missing the due date can put you on the eCIB list

JazzCash says non-repayment may get you reported to the State Bank of Pakistan's eCIB list as a defaulter. After 28 days it may also take the money from your wallet automatically until the loan is cleared. Both are written on its own page.

eCIB is the credit record banks check when you apply for a loan or a card. A default there can follow you for years. A loan of a few thousand rupees is not worth that risk, so set a reminder before day 28.

Part payments are allowed. JazzCash says you can repay any amount, in full or in parts, through the app, USSD or a JazzCash retailer. Paying early lowers the fee, because the fee counts weeks.

How to keep the cost of a ReadyCash loan low

Borrow the smallest amount you need and repay in the first week if you can. Every week you wait adds 5% of the whole loan. A week of delay on Rs 10,000 costs Rs 500.

  1. Open ReadyCash in the JazzCash app and look at the limit shown. Do not borrow all of it.
  2. Work out the total you will owe at week 1 and at week 4, using the tables above.
  3. Pick a date you can repay on and set a phone reminder for it.
  4. Keep enough balance in your wallet. The due amount may be taken from it automatically after 28 days.
  5. Repay in parts whenever money comes in, so the fee does not run to week 8.
Five steps to keep a JazzCash ReadyCash loan cheap: borrow less, repay early, set a reminder

If a lender asks for access to your contacts or threatens you over a small loan, that is a different problem and you can report loan app harassment to SECP and NCCIA. JazzCash is a regulated wallet, but the same steps apply to any lender that crosses the line.
