Kia Warranty in Pakistan: 4 Years or 100,000 km, 5 Years With Extended Warranty (Rules and Claims)

A new Kia in Pakistan comes with a 4 year or 100,000 km warranty, whichever comes first, and Kia's extended warranty adds 1 year or 20,000 km to make it 5 years or 120,000 km. The original battery is covered for 12 months whatever the mileage, and tyres are covered by the tyre maker, not Kia. Below are the rules that can cancel the cover, how to ask for the extension, and who to call when a claim is refused.

Kia's basic warranty runs 4 years or 100,000 km

Kia covers parts that fail because of a fault in material or workmanship for 4 years or 100,000 km, whichever is reached first. The company says it will repair or replace those parts, provided the car was used and maintained normally during the warranty period.

"Whichever comes first" matters for heavy users. A car that does 30,000 km a year hits 100,000 km in under three and a half years, so its warranty ends there, not at four years. Check your odometer, not just the calendar.

Servicing outside a Kia dealer can void the warranty

Kia's conditions say maintenance and repairs must follow Kia's instructions and be done only at authorised Lucky Motor Corporation service centres. Missing the maintenance schedule may invalidate the warranty, and you must show maintenance records and invoices when you claim.

This is the rule that catches people. An oil change at a roadside workshop to save a few thousand rupees can give the dealer a reason to refuse a gearbox or engine claim later. Keep every invoice in one folder, in date order.

The page also says the warranty can be made void under certain conditions, and refers buyers to the warranty booklet for details. Read that booklet on delivery day, while the salesperson is still in front of you, and ask about anything you do not understand.

The extended warranty adds a fifth year and 20,000 km

Kia's extended warranty raises the basic 4 years or 100,000 km to 5 years or 120,000 km. Kia says it covers mechanical, electrical and combined components, and is available on new car sales and on cars still under warranty. Terms and conditions apply.

The page does not print a price. You fill in a request form and a Kia dealer contacts you. The form asks for:

1. Your name, phone number and email.
2. The model: Sportage, Picanto, Sorento or Stonic.
3. The model year. The form lists 2019 to 2024.
4. The registration number and current mileage in km.
5. Your city and the Kia dealer you usually visit.

The year list stops at 2024, so owners of a 2025 or 2026 car should ask their dealer directly. Get the price, the exact parts covered and the start date in writing before paying. Toyota and Suzuki run similar schemes; the Toyota extended warranty lists its prices openly, which makes a useful comparison.

Kia lists 13 cities and 21 dealers for warranty service

The extended warranty form lists 13 cities: Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha and Sialkot. Its dealer list names 21 Kia dealerships across them.

If you live far from these cities, factor the drive into the cost of keeping the warranty. A free service is not free if it takes a day off work and a full tank.

Kia's service centres cover more than routine maintenance

Kia lists nine services at its dealerships: routine maintenance, engine and gearbox overhaul, suspension and brakes, air conditioning and electrics, battery and tyres, accident repairs and insurance claims, paint, upholstery, and accessories.

How to complain when a Kia warranty claim is refused

Ask the dealer for the refusal in writing, with the reason. Then contact Kia directly: UAN 021-111-111-542, the Lucky Motor Corporation line 021-111-115-625, or customerfeedback.kia@luckymotorcorp.com. Kia also has an online feedback form.

Send your registration number, mileage, the date of the fault and copies of every service invoice.
