We read the State Bank's KIBOR sheet for Thursday 5 November and compared it with the sheets for 4 November and 23 October. Below is every tenor with bid and offer, how far each one has moved, what it means for a loan priced on KIBOR, and what else moved in the money market the same week.
KIBOR for every tenor on 5 November 2026
The State Bank's sheet for 5 November 2026 gives seven tenors, from 1 week to 1 year. Offer rates run from 12.35% for 1 week to 12.92% for 1 year. Bid rates are 0.25 to 0.50 point lower. Every offer rate fell from Wednesday, and the longer tenors fell the most.
| Tenor | Bid, 5 Nov | Offer, 5 Nov | Offer, 4 Nov | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 week | 11.85% | 12.35% | 12.37% | Down 0.02 |
| 2 weeks | 11.87% | 12.37% | 12.39% | Down 0.02 |
| 1 month | 11.88% | 12.38% | 12.43% | Down 0.05 |

| 1 year | 12.42% | 12.92% | 13.04% | Down 0.12 |

The State Bank's home page showed the same three headline tenors under "KIBOR As on 05-Nov-26" when we checked it on 6 November: 3 months 12.11% and 12.36%, 6 months 12.31% and 12.56%, 12 months 12.42% and 12.92%. Those match the PDF sheet exactly. Wednesday's full sheet is in KIBOR on 4 November.
The 6 month rate fell 0.11 point in one day
From 2 to 4 November, no offer rate moved by more than 0.02 point in a day. On 5 November the 6 month rate fell 0.11 point, the 9 month and 1 year rates 0.12 point, and the 3 month rate 0.08 point. Short tenors of up to 2 weeks moved only 0.02 point.
When the longer tenors fall more than the short ones, it usually means banks expect rates to be lower in the months ahead than they are now. The State Bank has not changed the policy rate. It is still 12%, and the next meeting is on 14 December 2026, as listed in the next SBP meeting date. KIBOR is a market rate, quoted daily by banks, so it can move without any State Bank decision.
Two other numbers moved the same way that week. The State Bank's home page gave the weighted average overnight repo rate as 11.70% on 4 November, below the 12% policy rate and down from 12.02% on 3 November. And at the bond auction on 4 November, the government borrowed for 3 and 5 years at about 0.10 point less than in October. We report these side by side. The State Bank gave no reason for the KIBOR move.
KIBOR is still above where it was before the rate rise
On 23 October, before the State Bank raised the policy rate, 6 month KIBOR was 12.41% and 3 month KIBOR 12.00%. On 5 November they were 12.56% and 12.36%. So Thursday's fall took back part of the rise, not all of it.
| Tenor, offer | 23 October 2026 | 4 November 2026 | 5 November 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 week | 11.86% | 12.37% | 12.35% |
| 1 month | 11.93% | 12.43% | 12.38% |
| 3 months | 12.00% | 12.44% | 12.36% |
| 6 months | 12.41% | 12.67% | 12.56% |
| 1 year | 12.75% | 13.04% | 12.92% |

The 6 month rate is now 0.15 point above its 23 October level, down from 0.26 point a day earlier. The 3 month rate is 0.36 point above. Every day of last month is in the KIBOR history for October 2026, and the policy rate decision itself is in the SBP rate rise to 12%.
A KIBOR loan of Rs 10 lakh resetting now costs about Rs 92 a month less than on Wednesday
If your loan resets on 6 month KIBOR on 5 November instead of 4 November, the 0.11 point fall saves about Rs 1,100 a year on every Rs 10 lakh you still owe. That is roughly Rs 92 a month. Your bank's margin stays the same. Only the KIBOR part moves, and only on your reset date.
That figure is our own arithmetic on the State Bank's rates, not a quote from any bank. Most car, home and business loans are priced as KIBOR plus a fixed margin, set out in your loan agreement. Compared with 23 October, a 6 month KIBOR loan resetting now still costs about Rs 1,500 a year more per Rs 10 lakh.
Savers feel the other side. Floating term deposits that pay "KIBID minus a margin" fall when KIBOR falls. KIBID is the bid column in the first table, and 6 month KIBID fell from 12.42% to 12.31%.
How to check your loan rate against KIBOR
Find which tenor your loan uses, usually 3 or 6 month KIBOR, and the date it last reset. Then add your bank's margin to the offer rate for that tenor on the reset date. The answer is the yearly rate you pay until the next reset.
- Open your loan agreement or your latest statement and note the benchmark, for example "6 month KIBOR plus 3%".
- Note your last and next reset dates.
- Open the State Bank's KIBOR sheet for the reset date and read the offer rate for your tenor.
- Add your margin. That is your new yearly rate.
- Multiply your outstanding balance by the change in KIBOR to see the yearly difference, then divide by 12.

The "plus 3%" above is only an example. Banks set margins customer by customer, and we did not check any bank's margin for this article. The daily rate page is KIBOR rate today.
What comes next for KIBOR in November
The next Treasury bill auction is on 11 November, and its result will feed into the short tenors. The target and the last cut-off yields are in the 11 November T-bill auction. The State Bank will be closed on Monday 9 November for Allama Iqbal Day, its press release of 5 November says, so expect no KIBOR sheet that day.
