Short answer: Punjab farmers who used money on the CM Punjab Kissan Card must repay it by 26 October 2026. The bill arrives by SMS on 15 October 2026. Pay at any Bank of Punjab branch, by interbank transfer or through Raast ID. Once you pay, the next interest-free loan is credited to the card within 48 hours, and you enter a lucky draw for tractors, motorcycles and mobile phones.

The Punjab Agriculture Department announced the repayment drive in a press release dated 9 October 2026. It calls this the recovery of the fourth phase of the Kissan Card. We read that release, and the Punjab government's own page on the scheme, on 10 October 2026.

The timing matters. Wheat sowing starts this month, and most farmers want the card topped up before they buy seed and fertiliser. Paying on time is the fastest way to get the money back on the card.

Kissan Card bills go out on 15 October and must be paid by 26 October

Every farmer who spent money through the card will get a bill payment message on 15 October 2026. The deadline to pay the full outstanding amount is 26 October 2026. That leaves 11 days between the message and the last date.

Timeline of the Punjab Kissan Card repayment: release 9 October, bill SMS 15 October, last date 26 October 2026, new loan within 48 hours of payment

The release uses the words "zimma wajib-ul-ada raqam", which means the amount you owe. It does not mention any interest, surcharge or late fee. The Punjab government describes the card as an interest-free loan, so the bill should equal what you spent on inputs.

The release does not give a date for the draw. It also does not say what happens to a farmer who misses 26 October. Treat the date as firm.

Three ways to pay the Kissan Card bill

The department names three payment routes: a Bank of Punjab branch, an interbank transfer, or Raast ID. Use the amount in your 15 October SMS, not a figure from memory, because the bill is what the bank records.

  1. Wait for the bill SMS on 15 October 2026 and note the amount owed.
  2. Pay at your nearest Bank of Punjab branch, or send the amount by interbank transfer from any bank app.
  3. If you use a mobile wallet or bank app, you can pay through Raast ID instead. Raast is the State Bank's free instant payment system, and sending money through Raast takes a few seconds.
  4. Keep the receipt or the transaction ID until the new loan shows on your card.
  5. Check for the credit within 48 hours. If it does not arrive, call the Agriculture Helpline 0800-17000 with your CNIC and receipt.

Pay a few days early. Bank and app systems slow down near any deadline, and a payment sent late at night on 26 October may not post the same day.

Five steps to pay a Punjab Kissan Card bill: read the SMS, pay at Bank of Punjab, interbank or Raast, keep the receipt, check the new loan within 48 hours

Paying on time puts you in a draw for tractors, motorcycles and phones

Farmers who clear their bill by 26 October 2026 enter a lucky draw. The release says prizes worth "crores of rupees" will be given, including tractors, mobile phones and motorcycles. It calls the draw transparent but does not list how many prizes there are or how winners will be told.

That is a nice extra. The real reward is the 48 hour turnaround. A farmer with 5 acres can draw up to Rs 150,000 a season on the card, and that money arriving before sowing is worth more than any prize.

Be careful with calls or messages saying you have won. The department has not said winners will be contacted by phone, and it has not asked for any fee. No real prize asks you to pay first.

The Kissan Card is an interest-free input loan of up to Rs 150,000 a season

The CM Punjab Kissan Card gives farmers with up to 12.5 acres an interest-free loan to buy farm inputs such as fertiliser and seed. The limit is Rs 30,000 an acre, up to Rs 150,000 a season, according to the Punjab government's scheme page.

The Bank of Punjab issues the card. Each card runs for six months, with one month of grace afterwards to repay. Funds can only be spent at authorised dealers, and the list of registered Kissan Card dealers shows where the card actually works.

Farmers who have not joined yet can follow the steps to apply for the Punjab Kissan Card. The SIM used must be registered on your own CNIC.

Repay first, then buy seed and fertiliser for wheat

For most card holders this repayment runs straight into the wheat season. The Agriculture Department's 6 October release puts wheat sowing on barani, or rain-fed, land from 15 October to 15 November. Irrigated land follows in November. The wheat sowing dates and seed rates for Punjab set out the window by area.

Input prices are high this month. DAP averaged Rs 17,128 a bag in the week to 8 October, as our report on urea and DAP prices shows. So the order matters: clear the bill, wait for the fresh credit, then buy.

A defaulter loses more than the draw. The Green Tractor scheme terms bar Kissan Card defaulters from applying, so missing this date can shut you out of other Punjab farm schemes too.
