If you passed the KPPSC written exam for Provincial Management Service (PMS) Officer under Advertisement No. 02/2025, your written psychological test is on Tuesday 27 October 2026. Reporting time is 10:00 am and the test starts at 10:30 am. Group discussions and individual psychological interviews begin on Monday 9 November 2026, with ten candidates called each day.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC) put the schedule on its home page on 20 October 2026. We opened the notice on 22 October 2026 and read it. The notice is short, so this guide also explains what each stage means, what the notice does not say, and how to prepare in the few days that remain.

The written psychological test is on 27 October 2026 at 10:30 am

KPPSC's Psychology Wing will hold a written psychological test on Tuesday 27 October 2026. Candidates must report at 10:00 am. The test starts at 10:30 am. The notice does not say how long the test lasts or where it is held.

Do not arrive at 10:30 and expect to walk in. The notice gives a reporting time of 10:00 am, so plan to be at the gate before it. If your call letter or an SMS gives a venue, follow that. The notice we read does not name one.

Group discussions and psychological interviews start on 9 November 2026

From Monday 9 November 2026, KPPSC will call ten candidates a day for a group discussion and an individual psychological interview. Each day starts at 10:00 am. The notice does not give a list of names by day, so wait for your personal call.

The Commission says the programme is "proposed". The notice is signed by the Psychologist and dated 15 October 2026, and it ends with "submitted for approval". The dates may therefore change. We saw the notice on the website, so it is public, but it is not described as final.

Only PMS candidates who passed the written exam and scrutiny are called

The notice covers candidates who passed the written exam for PMS Officer, post serial No. 1 of Advertisement No. 02/2025, and were found provisionally eligible after their credentials were checked. The website's headline for the notice also mentions Assistant Excise and Taxation Officers, but the notice itself names only PMS.

That difference matters if you are an AETO candidate. We could not find a separate AETO schedule on the website on 22 October 2026. Check the call letter and the home page before you assume anything. The written result behind this stage is explained in the report on the KPPSC PMS and AETO result of 4 September 2026.

Only 50 candidates qualified in that written exam, for 77 posts across both services. The Commission has not said how many of the 50 are in the PMS list. We will not guess the number of days the interviews will take.

How to prepare for a written psychological test and a group discussion

The notice does not describe the test paper, so nobody outside KPPSC can tell you its questions. What you can do is prepare for the format that public service commissions normally use: a written test of personality and judgement, then a group task, then a one to one talk.

Our general guide to the one day format is in preparing for a psychological assessment and group discussion. It is written for the federal exam, so treat it as practice and not as a rulebook for KPPSC. A KPPSC Civil Judge candidate went through a similar step on 12 October, as the report on the KPPSC Civil Judge psychological assessment shows.

  1. Rest well the night before 27 October and eat before you report.
  2. Carry your original CNIC and the call letter or SMS you were sent.
  3. In the group discussion, listen first and speak in short, clear points.
  4. In the interview, answer what is asked and keep your answers honest.
  5. Check the KPPSC home page every day until 9 November for changes.

What the notice does not tell you yet

The notice leaves out the venue, the length of the test, the marks and the daily list of names. It does not say how the psychological stage counts in the final merit. For the marks split KPPSC uses for interviews, see the page on how KPPSC merit marks are divided.

Treat any message that offers "questions" or "guaranteed marks" for this stage as a scam. KPPSC says nothing like that on its website. If you did not receive a call letter, use the Commission's numbers on its site, 091-9214131 or 091-9213750, and ask.

The wider interview calendar for November 2026 is a separate notice. It is covered in the report on the KPPSC November 2026 interview programme.

Common questions

When is the KPPSC PMS psychological test?

It is on Tuesday 27 October 2026. Candidates report at 10:00 am and the test starts at 10:30 am, according to the notice on the KPPSC website.

When do the group discussions and interviews start?

They start on Monday 9 November 2026 at 10:00 am. KPPSC will call ten candidates per day for both the group discussion and the individual psychological interview.

Is the schedule final?

No. The notice calls it a proposed schedule and ends with "submitted for approval". Check the KPPSC website for any change before you travel.

Who has to attend?

Candidates who passed the written exam for PMS Officer under Advertisement No. 02/2025, post serial No. 1, and were found provisionally eligible after scrutiny of their credentials.

Do AETO candidates appear on 27 October?

The notice names only the PMS post. The website headline mentions AETO as well, so confirm your call letter. We did not find a separate AETO notice on 22 October 2026.

Where is the test held?

The notice does not give a venue. Look for it on your call letter or in the message sent by KPPSC, and call the Commission if it is missing.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 22 October 2026. We read the "Proposed Schedule of Psychological Assessment" for PMS (Advertisement No. 2/2025) on the KPPSC home page, where it appears among the notices dated 20 October 2026. The notice carries a Psychologist's signature dated 15 October 2026. The 50 qualified candidates and 77 posts come from KPPSC's written result of 4 September 2026. We could not verify the venue, the test length, the weight of this stage in merit or how many of the 50 are PMS candidates. The suggestions for preparing are our own general advice, not KPPSC rules.
