Attock Refinery and Cnergyico fell about 10% each

Attock Refinery fell 10.00% to Rs 979.95 and took about 166 points off the index. Cnergyico fell 9.97% to Rs 12.28. Both closed at roughly the 10% daily limit, so sellers outnumbered buyers at the floor. OGDC fell 1.66% and cost about 118 points.

Cnergyico was also the busiest share in the index by far, with 93.1 million shares traded. K-Electric came next with 8.2 million. PSX does not say why a share moves, and we did not find a reason stated on the price pages we read. Shares that hit the limit are listed through the day, and how to read that list is set out in checking the upper and lower circuit list.

Pakistan State Oil and Pakistan Petroleum both carried an XD tag on the portal, meaning they traded ex-dividend. A share usually drops by about the dividend on that day, so part of their fall is the payout, not selling.

PSX regular market volume and value on 30 October and 2 November 2026

The All Share index, which covers every listed company, lost 0.37%. That tells you the small gain in the KSE-100 came from a few heavy shares, not a broad rally. Banks fell 0.48% as a group. The Shariah KMI-30 index managed a 0.11% gain.
