Google's post gives four steps. Talk freely about every past role, add the resume prompt, chat back and forth to fix details and tone, then copy the result into your CV. The free Gemini plan in Pakistan costs Rs 0 and is enough for this.

1. Open Gemini and describe each past job in your own words: duties, numbers, tools, results.
2. Paste Google's prompt, with the job title you are applying for filled in.
3. Reply to Gemini to correct facts, shorten lines or change the focus.
4. Copy the final bullets into your CV, or ask Gemini to build the whole CV as a PDF.

Google's prompt, word for word, is: "Act as a professional resume writer. Use my raw, unedited notes about my past work and turn it into four high-impact resume bullets for a _______ role. Start each bullet with a strong action verb. Keep the tone executive, clear, and ATS-friendly." Fill the blank with the exact title from the job advert, such as "Accounts Officer" or "Junior Web Developer".

Gemini can now build the CV as a PDF you can edit

Google announced on 29 October 2026 that Gemini can create, preview and edit files inside the chat. PDF editing works on both the web and the phone app. Google Docs files work on the web only. You can type fixes yourself or highlight a line and ask Gemini to change it.

For a CV, ask: "Put my final CV into a one page PDF with clear headings for Profile, Experience, Education and Skills." Then open the file full screen and correct anything wrong. If you want a Word style file to keep editing later, ask for a Google Doc on a laptop browser instead. Sheets, slide decks, Markdown, TXT and code files are also supported on the web.

Check the PDF before you send it. Long Urdu names, phone numbers and dates are where errors hide.

Check every line before you send the CV

Gemini writes what sounds good, and it can add a number or a skill you never gave it. An employer can ask about any line in an interview. So the last step is yours, not Gemini's.

• Numbers: every figure, such as "cut costs by 20%", must be true and something you can explain.
• Tools and software: remove anything you have not actually used.
• Dates: match job dates to your experience letters.
• Job title: use the title your employer gave you, not a grander one.
• Contact details: type them yourself and check them twice.

Never paste your CNIC or bank details into the chat

A CV needs your name, phone, email and city. It does not need your CNIC number, date of birth, father's CNIC, bank account or salary slips, and none of those should go into a chatbot. Add them only if an employer asks, in their own form.
