Men's Formal Shirt Size Chart in Pakistan: Collar 14.5 to 18.5 in Inches, S to XXL, and How to Measure
Men's formal shirt size chart for Pakistan: collar 14.5 to 18.5 matched to S to XXL from Diners and Charcoal charts, chest and sleeve in inches, how to measure.

Men's formal shirts in Pakistan are sized by collar in inches, from 14.5 to 18.5. At Diners, regular fit collar 14.5 is Small, 15 is Medium, 16 is Large, 17 is XL and 18 is XXL. To find your size, measure around the base of your neck and add half an inch, or measure the collar of a shirt that fits. We read both size charts on the brands' own websites on 6 November 2026.
Buying a dress shirt online goes wrong more often than buying a T-shirt, because a collar that is half an inch too tight will not button. Diners, Charcoal and Edenrobe all sell formal shirts by collar size. This guide puts their charts side by side, explains each measurement in plain words, and shows you how to measure at home with a tailor's tape.

Collar size to S, M, L and XL

| Letter size | Diners regular fit collar | Diners slim fit collar |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 14.5 | 14.5 |
| Medium | 15 or 15.5 | 15.5 |
| Large | 16 or 16.5 | 16.5 |
| XL | 17 or 17.5 | 17.5 |
| XXL | 18 or 18.5 | 18.5 |
Edenrobe lists some formal shirts by collar (14.5 to 17.5) and others by S, M, L and XL. If a page shows only letters, use the table above as a guide, then check that brand's own chart on the product page.
Diners formal shirt size chart in inches
Diners' chart gives the shirt's own measurements, not your body's. For a regular fit full sleeve shirt, chest runs from 20.5 inches at Small to 27 at XXL, measured across the shirt. Length runs from 29 to 32 inches and sleeves from 24 to 27.
| Size (collar) | Chest | Waist | Shoulder | Sleeve | Length |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small (14.5) | 20.5 | 19.5 | 17.5 | 24 | 29 |
| Medium (15) | 22 | 21.5 | 18.5 | 25 | 29.5 |
| Large (16) | 24 | 23.5 | 19.5 | 26 | 30.5 |
| XL (17) | 25 | 24 | 20 | 26.5 | 31.5 |
| XXL (18) | 27 | 26.5 | 21 | 27 | 32 |
The slim fit is narrower at the same collar. A slim Large (16.5) has a 23 inch chest and 22 inch waist, against 24 and 23.5 for the regular Large. If you have a broad chest or a belly, the regular fit is the safer choice.
Charcoal dress shirt size chart in inches
Charcoal sizes its dress shirts from collar 14.5 to 17.5, with every half size in between. Its chart, updated on 20 October 2026, gives the chest measured flat from armpit to armpit: 20.5 inches at 14.5, rising to 26 inches at 17.5.
| Collar | Chest (flat) | Shoulder | Sleeve | Length |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14.5 | 20.5 | 17.5 | 24.5 | 28 |
| 15 | 21 | 17.75 | 25.25 | 29 |
| 15.5 | 21.5 | 18 | 25.25 | 29 |
| 16 | 22 | 18.5 | 25.75 | 29.5 |
| 16.5 | 23.75 | 19 | 26 | 30 |
| 17 | 25 | 20.25 | 26.5 | 30.5 |
| 17.5 | 26 | 20.75 | 27 | 31 |
Charcoal notes that the measurements are of the garment, laid flat, and may vary slightly by style. So the same collar can fit a little differently between two shirts.

Measure your collar and chest at home
You need a soft tailor's tape and a shirt that already fits you well. Measuring that shirt is the most reliable method, because brand charts list garment sizes. Measuring your own neck works too, as long as you leave a little room.
- Collar from your neck. Wrap the tape around the base of your neck, where a collar sits. Keep one finger under the tape. Round up to the next half inch.
- Collar from a shirt. Lay the shirt flat with the collar open. Measure from the centre of the top button to the far end of the buttonhole.
- Chest. Button the shirt, lay it flat and measure straight across from armpit to armpit. Compare this with the "chest" column.
- Shoulder. Measure across the back from one shoulder seam to the other.
- Sleeve. Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
If your collar and chest point to two different sizes, choose by collar for a shirt you will wear with a tie, and by chest for a shirt you will wear open necked. A tailor can take in the waist, but cannot loosen a collar.

Common questions
What collar size is a medium shirt in Pakistan?
At Diners, a regular fit Medium is collar 15, with a 15.5 option. A slim fit Medium is 15.5. Other brands may differ slightly, so check the product page.
What does shirt size 15.5 mean?
It is the collar size in inches, the distance around the neck band when buttoned. A 15.5 shirt fits a neck of about 15 inches with room for a finger.
Is the chest on a size chart my body measurement?
No. Diners and Charcoal list the shirt's own chest, measured flat across. Double it for the full width of the shirt.
Should I choose slim fit or regular fit?
Choose slim fit if you are lean and like a close shirt. Choose regular fit if you have a broad chest, a belly or wear a vest under the shirt.
What if my collar fits but the sleeves are long?
Keep the collar size. A tailor can shorten sleeves at the cuff for a small fee. A tight collar cannot be fixed.
