NUST Undergraduate Fee in Pakistan for 2026-27: Rs 216,750 to Rs 302,950 a Semester
NUST 2026-27 undergraduate fees: Rs 216,750 or Rs 302,950 a semester, Rs 35,000 processing fee, Rs 10,000 deposit. See the first payment and extra charges.

NUST charges Rs 216,750 in tuition per semester for undergraduate engineering, computing, natural sciences and applied sciences programmes in 2026 to 2027. Architecture, social sciences and business studies cost Rs 302,950 a semester. New students also pay a Rs 35,000 admission processing fee and a Rs 10,000 refundable deposit.
Add Rs 5,000 a semester for sports, library, health cover and IT. So the first payment is Rs 266,750 for an engineering student and Rs 352,950 for a business student. That sum is our own arithmetic. We read NUST's undergraduate financial matters page on 14 October 2026, and NUST says all fees can change.
Tuition is Rs 216,750 or Rs 302,950 a semester
NUST sets two fee bands for Pakistani undergraduates in 2026 to 2027. Engineering, computing, natural sciences, applied sciences and HND programmes pay Rs 216,750 a semester. Architecture, social sciences and business studies pay Rs 302,950 a semester.
| Charge | Engineering, computing, sciences | Architecture, social sciences, business |
|---|---|---|
| Admission processing fee (not refundable) | Rs 35,000 | Rs 35,000 |
| Security deposit (refundable) | Rs 10,000 | Rs 10,000 |
| Tuition per semester | Rs 216,750 | Rs 302,950 |
| Sports, library, health and IT per semester | Rs 5,000 | Rs 5,000 |

Students of the BBA, BS Accounting and Finance and BS Tourism and Hospitality Management also pay a Harvard Business School licensing fee of Rs 15,000 a year. NUST lists it as a separate charge, so it is not inside the tuition figure.
Your first payment is Rs 266,750 or Rs 352,950
At admission you pay the processing fee, the security deposit and the first semester in advance. For an engineering student that is Rs 35,000 plus Rs 10,000 plus Rs 216,750 plus Rs 5,000, which is Rs 266,750. For a business student it is Rs 352,950.
| First payment (our sum) | Engineering, computing, sciences | Architecture, social sciences, business |
|---|---|---|
| Processing fee and deposit | Rs 45,000 | Rs 45,000 |
| First semester tuition | Rs 216,750 | Rs 302,950 |
| First semester other charges | Rs 5,000 | Rs 5,000 |
| Total at admission | Rs 266,750 | Rs 352,950 |
BBA and BS Accounting and Finance students add Rs 15,000 for the licensing fee in the first invoice, so their total is Rs 367,950. NUST says the invoice and your provisional selection letter appear on its website after selection. Keep every paid invoice for your records, as NUST asks.
The processing fee is not refundable, and a candidate who does not pay the admission dues in time is dropped from consideration. Read the NUST process in our guide to NUST NET registration before you plan the money.
The steps below show how a new student pays. NUST puts the invoice online after you are selected, so you do not need to visit a branch to collect it.
- Get a provisional selection letter and see your fee invoice on the NUST website.
- Pay the processing fee, the security deposit and the first semester in advance.
- Keep a copy of every paid invoice for your own records.
- Pay each later semester in advance, before classes start.
If the family cannot pay the first bill in one go, do not wait until the last day. Ask NUST about aid before you accept the seat, and read about the NFAAF form in our guide to NUST need-based financial aid.
Four years of tuition adds up to Rs 1.7 million or Rs 2.4 million
If the rates stay the same for eight semesters, tuition alone comes to Rs 1,734,000 in the lower band and Rs 2,423,600 in the higher band. NUST says fees can rise, so treat these as a floor, not a promise. The sum leaves out hostel, books and the small semester charge.
Do the sum before you accept an offer. A family that can pay the first semester may still struggle in year three. Ask the fee office whether fees rose for current students last year, and keep a note of the answer.

Compare with other costs. IBA Karachi lists Rs 31,500 per credit hour, and FAST-NU publishes its own list in the FAST-NU admission and fee guide. Fee models differ, so compare a full year, not a single line.

Extra charges: summer, repeat and international fees
NUST charges Rs 11,000 per credit hour for a summer semester, a repeated course or a grade improvement. International students pay in US dollars: a USD 600 processing fee, USD 5,400 tuition a year, a USD 250 deposit and USD 120 for health.
Payment is by challan or invoice from NUST, and money sent from abroad needs a SWIFT message from the sender's bank. The fee is paid semester by semester, in advance, before classes start. NUST’s financial aid page says the instalment facility is not available for admission dues or the first semester.
Government and provincial funds can cover part of the bill. NUST tells students to apply to bodies such as HEC and provincial endowment funds. See how the HEC need-based scholarship works and how to apply for the PEEF scholarship.
