A coil of white network cable, for Optix internet packages in Karachi

Optix internet packages cost Rs 3,199 to Rs 10,999 a month, tax included, for speeds of up to 75 Mbps on Lightning Fast and up to 300 Mbps on Hyper Sonic, with a one time activation charge of Rs 2,500 plus tax. Every package includes a free IPTV box. Optix changed its package page on 2 November 2026, and the speeds and activation fee now differ from older pages still on its site. The full list, the add-ons and the differences are below.

Optix is a fibre to the home provider based in Karachi's Korangi Industrial Area. We read its packages page, its FAQs, its products page and an older package page on its own site, all on 2 November 2026.

Optix packages and prices, November 2026

Optix lists five home packages. The monthly price includes taxes, but the activation charge of Rs 2,500 does not. Speeds are now written as "up to", and Optix calls them burstable, which means the top speed is not guaranteed at every hour.

PackageMonthly price (tax included)Speed (up to)ActivationIPTV box
Lightning FastRs 3,19975 MbpsRs 2,500 + taxFree
Blazing SpeedRs 3,999100 MbpsRs 2,500 + taxFree

Super SonicRs 6,399200 MbpsRs 2,500 + taxFree
Hyper SonicRs 10,999300 MbpsRs 2,500 + taxFree

Blazing Speed is the sweet spot on paper. It costs Rs 800 more than Lightning Fast for up to 25 Mbps more. Hyper Sonic costs Rs 4,600 more than Super Sonic for up to 100 Mbps more, which only a busy household or a home office will feel.

What changed on Optix's package page

Optix's current page, updated on 2 November 2026, shows higher speeds and a lower activation fee than an older package page that is still live on its site. The monthly prices are the same on both. Only the speeds, the activation charge and the advance payment offer differ.

PackageOlder page speedCurrent page speedOlder page activationCurrent activation
Lightning Fast30 MbpsUp to 75 MbpsRs 4,999Rs 2,500 + tax
Blazing Speed50 MbpsUp to 100 MbpsRs 5,999Rs 2,500 + tax
Thunder Bolt75 MbpsUp to 150 MbpsRs 6,999Rs 2,500 + tax
Super Sonic100 MbpsUp to 200 MbpsRs 6,999Rs 2,500 + tax
Hyper Sonic100 MbpsUp to 300 MbpsRs 6,999Rs 2,500 + tax

The older page is dated December 2025 in its page details, so it is the previous offer, not a separate one. We cannot tell from Optix's pages exactly when the change took effect, only that the current page was edited on 2 November. If you signed up at 30 Mbps, ask Optix whether your line now gets the higher burst speed.

Advance payment, add-ons and the fine print

Pay six months in advance and Optix gives the seventh month of internet free, according to its current package page. Add-ons are extra: a second TV box, the Xtream TV app, a static IP at Rs 500 a month and phone service at Rs 150 a month.

Add-onMonthly charge (Rs)
IPTV service, 1st TV299
IPTV service, 2nd, 3rd, 4th TV200, 200, 100
IPTV box rental, 2nd, 3rd, 4th TV699, 399, 299
Xtream TV App 2.0, per screen100
Static IP500
Phone service150

Activation and add-on charges are before government taxes. Other terms on the page: the router and IPTV box stay Optix property and are taken back if you disconnect, packages cannot be downgraded within the promotional period, the fair usage policy applies, and the monthly charge is billed in advance.

The "free IPTV box" has a catch worth knowing. The same page says you receive the first IPTV service on payment of Rs 299 plus tax with the monthly charge, so the box is free but the TV service is not.

How to get an Optix connection

Check coverage on Optix's coverage page first, by choosing your city and area. If your area is covered, sign up online or call 021-11-11-67849. Pay the activation charge, and the monthly charge in advance.

  1. Open Optix's coverage page and select your city and area.
  2. If it says Optix is available, leave your details or press Sign Up.
  3. Choose a package. Pick for the number of people online at night, not the top speed.
  4. Pay the Rs 2,500 activation charge plus tax and the first month in advance.
  5. After installation, run a speed test on a cable, not Wi-Fi, and keep the result.
Steps to get an Optix fibre internet connection

Optix itself says actual speeds vary with Wi-Fi, connected devices and peak hours. If wired speeds stay far below the package, PTA's rules on broadband speed against the advertised figure are the standard to quote. To set up the router yourself, the Optix WiFi password change steps cover the 192.168.100.1 login.

How Optix compares with other fibre providers

Optix's Rs 3,199 entry price for up to 75 Mbps sits in the same band as the cheaper fibre plans from bigger providers. The difference is coverage: Optix serves fewer areas, so check your street before you compare prices.

For a wider view, the StormFiber packages by city and the PTCL Flash Fiber, Nayatel and StormFiber comparison list their own prices. Compare the speed you will really use, the activation fee and whether TV is included, not just the headline Mbps.

Common questions

What is the cheapest Optix package?

Lightning Fast at Rs 3,199 a month, tax included, for speeds of up to 75 Mbps, plus a Rs 2,500 activation charge and tax.

How much is Optix activation?

Rs 2,500 plus tax on every package, according to the page updated on 2 November 2026. An older page lists Rs 4,999 to Rs 6,999.

Is the Optix IPTV box free?

The box is free, but Optix says the first IPTV service costs Rs 299 plus tax a month with your package.

Does Optix give a discount for paying in advance?

The package page says six months in advance gets the seventh month free. The FAQ page instead says 5% off for six months and 10% for twelve, so confirm before you pay.

When is the Optix bill due?

Optix's FAQ says the bill is generated on the 1st of every month and is due on the 11th. Unpaid accounts are suspended until payment.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read Optix's current packages page, its older package page, its FAQs, its products page and its coverage page on 2 November 2026. Optix's own pages disagree on three points: the products page still says "up to 200 Mbps" while the package page lists up to 300 Mbps, the older and current pages give different speeds and activation charges, and the package page and FAQ describe different advance payment offers. We did not test an Optix connection, and the coverage checker loads its city list live, so we could not record which cities it covers.
