Pakistan play India in the final on Saturday at 9:30 am PKT
The Asian Games men's cricket gold medal match is Pakistan against India on Saturday 3 October 2026. It starts at 1:30 pm Japan time, which is 9:30 am in Pakistan. The venue is Korogi Athletic Park, the ground used for every men's cricket game at these Games.
The bronze medal match comes first on the same day. Bangladesh play Sri Lanka at 5:00 am PKT, at the same ground.
| Match | Teams | Date | Time (PKT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze medal match | Bangladesh v Sri Lanka | Saturday 3 October | 5:00 am |
| Gold medal match | Pakistan v India | Saturday 3 October | 9:30 am |
The official system lists Pakistan first and India second for the final. That only sets the order on the team sheet. Both semi-finals were played at this ground, so neither side has a travel edge.

India beat Sri Lanka by 124 runs to reach the final
India made 169 for 7 in their 20 overs, then bowled Sri Lanka out for 45 in 9.5 overs. The official result reads "IND won by 124 runs". The match started at 9:30 am PKT on Thursday and was played in full, unlike Pakistan's rain-shortened game earlier that morning.
Ishan Kishan carried the Indian innings. He made 80 not out from 46 balls, with four fours and five sixes. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the young opener, added 38 from 21 balls. Captain Shreyas Iyer made 13.
Then the Sri Lanka chase fell apart. Nobody passed 15, and 11 of their 45 runs were extras. Three of their batters were run out.
| India bowler | Overs | Figures |
|---|---|---|
| Abhishek Sharma | 0.5 | 2 for 2 |
| Jasprit Bumrah | 2 | 2 for 7 |
| Axar Patel | 3 | 2 for 8 |
| Washington Sundar | 3 | 1 for 18 |
A 124-run win in a T20 game is a heavy defeat by any standard. Pakistan should take note of Bumrah: two overs, seven runs, two wickets.

Both teams reached the final after one completed match each
Pakistan and India each played only one full match on the way to the final. Both skipped the group stage as seeded sides. Both quarter-finals were then abandoned in rain on 28 September, and the official record marks Pakistan and India as winners of those games.
That makes the final only the second game of these Games for both teams. Here is how each one got there:
| Round | Pakistan | India |
|---|---|---|
| Group stage | Did not play, seeded | Did not play, seeded |
| Quarter-final, 28 September | v Hong Kong, China: abandoned, Pakistan through | v Afghanistan: abandoned, India through |
| Semi-final, 1 October | Beat Bangladesh by 6 wickets | Beat Sri Lanka by 124 runs |
The washed out quarter-finals are covered in Pakistan's quarter-final washout against Hong Kong, China. The reported rule was that the higher-ranked side goes through. We could not read that rule on an official page.

Pakistan's semi-final was a 13-over win over Bangladesh
Pakistan beat Bangladesh by six wickets in a game cut to 13 overs a side after a late start. Bangladesh made 111 for 7. Pakistan reached 112 for 4 in 11.3 overs. Abdul Samad hit 30 not out from 15 balls, and Sufyan Moqim took 3 for 26.
The full scorecard is in the Pakistan vs Bangladesh semi-final result. One number from it matters for Saturday. Pakistan's bowlers gave away 15 wides in 13 overs. India's batting is deeper than Bangladesh's, and extra balls against Kishan and Sooryavanshi will cost far more.
India's bowlers, by contrast, gave away 5 wides in 9.5 overs on Thursday. That gap is the clearest thing for Pakistan to fix before Saturday.
