Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Website Down: pbm.gov.pk Shows Account Suspended, Tracking Portal Not Opening
pbm.gov.pk showed an Account Suspended page on 1 November 2026 and the PBM tracking portal would not open. How to apply on paper and follow your case meanwhile.

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal's website, pbm.gov.pk, was showing a hosting notice reading "Account Suspended" on 1 November 2026, and its case tracking portal, mis.pbm.gov.pk, was refusing connections. We checked both several times from two separate networks. Applications can still be made on plain paper at a PBM district office. PBM has not published any statement about the outage that we could find.
Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) is the federal body that pays medical, education and general financial help to poor families. Thousands of people use its website each week to download forms and check whether their case has moved. Both routes were closed when we checked on Sunday morning.
What we found on 1 November 2026
Opening www.pbm.gov.pk sent us to a page on the same domain titled "Account Suspended", saying "This Account has been suspended. Contact your hosting provider for more information." The tracking portal did not load at all. Both worked when we last checked on 15 October 2026.
| Address | What it did on 1 November 2026 | On 15 October 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| www.pbm.gov.pk | Redirected to a hosting "Account Suspended" page | Working: home, forms and projects pages |
| pbm.gov.pk | Same suspended page | Working |
| mis.pbm.gov.pk/track | Connection refused on both secure and plain web ports | Working: tracking form by CNIC and mobile |
A notice like this is the standard page a web hosting company shows when it suspends a customer's account. It does not say why. Common causes include an unpaid hosting bill, a breach of the host's terms, or a security problem on the site. We do not know which applies here, and PBM has not said.
We repeated the check from two different connections, a few hours apart. The main site returned the same redirect each time, and the tracking portal refused every connection.

What stops working while the site is down
Three things depend on the website: downloading application forms, reading programme rules and income limits, and tracking a case by CNIC and mobile number. None of them was available on 1 November. The programmes themselves have not been announced as closed.
The tracking portal matters most. Families who applied for medical help, education stipends, wheelchairs or cochlear implants usually follow their case there. The steps for that portal, for when it returns, are in the PBM application status check by CNIC.
The forms page also listed 13 categories, from Special Friends and the thalassaemia centre to hearing aids and education assistance. Without it, a new applicant cannot download the right form.
You can still apply on plain paper
PBM's own policy for Individual Financial Assistance, which we read in October, says an application can be written on plain paper and received from any source. It goes to the district office or the provincial or head office, so the website is not essential to applying.
- Write a short application stating your hardship and monthly income, and sign it or add a thumb impression.
- Attach a copy of your CNIC, or a guardian's CNIC for an orphan child.
- Add proof of the need: a doctor's letter, hospital estimate, death certificate or fee voucher.
- Hand it to the nearest PBM district office and ask for a receipt or diary number.
- Keep the receipt. You will need it to track the case by phone or once the portal returns.
The full rules, including the Rs 30,000 once-a-year ceiling, are in the Bait-ul-Mal general financial assistance steps. Medical cases follow the separate Bait-ul-Mal medical assistance process.

Call the helpline before you travel
PBM's contact page listed a helpline, 0800-66666, when we read it in October. We could not re-check it on 1 November because the contact page is part of the suspended site. Call before travelling to a district office.
If a case was already pending and nobody answers, a complaint on the Pakistan Citizen Portal is the formal route. It creates a record PBM must answer. The steps are in the Pakistan Citizen Portal complaint guide.
Beware of lookalike sites while the real one is offline
When an official site goes dark, copycat pages fill the gap. PBM's real addresses end in .gov.pk. Any site that asks for a fee to "register" for Bait-ul-Mal help, or asks for a bank PIN or OTP, is not PBM.
PBM's policy says general assistance is paid by crossed cheque sent by registered post to the applicant's address, not through a stranger on WhatsApp. If someone offers to "fast track" your case for money, refuse and report the number.
We will check the site again and update this page when it returns or when PBM explains the outage.
Common questions
Is the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal website down?
On 1 November 2026, pbm.gov.pk showed a hosting "Account Suspended" page and the tracking portal refused connections, from two networks we tested.
Can I check my PBM application status online now?
Not while mis.pbm.gov.pk is down. Call the PBM helpline or visit your district office with your application receipt.
Can I still apply to Bait-ul-Mal?
Yes. PBM's policy allows a plain paper application with a CNIC copy at a district, provincial or head office.
Has Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal been closed?
No closure has been announced. The outage we saw is a website hosting problem, and PBM has not said anything about its programmes stopping.
What is the Bait-ul-Mal helpline number?
PBM's contact page listed 0800-66666 when we read it in October 2026. We could not re-check it while the site was down.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Checked on 1 November 2026, between about 05:30 and 06:00 PKT. We requested www.pbm.gov.pk, pbm.gov.pk and mis.pbm.gov.pk several times from two separate networks: the main site answered with a 302 redirect to /cgi-sys/suspendedpage.cgi titled "Account Suspended", and the tracking portal refused connections on ports 443 and 80. Earlier working states, the forms list, the plain paper procedure and the 0800-66666 helpline come from our reads of the PBM site on 12 and 15 October 2026. We could not find any PBM statement on the outage and do not know its cause.
