The Pakistan Boxing Federation lists the 42nd National Elite Boxing Championship for October to November 2026, for men and women, with the venue still marked "TBD". Two more national events, the U-19 championship and the inter-department championship, are listed for 2027 with no date or venue. The federation's international plan runs from the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar to Olympic qualifiers in 2027.

We read the federation's 2026-27 sports calendar on the Pakistan Sports Board website on 14 October 2026. This page turns that table into a plain list of dates and tells you what to ask the federation if you box or coach.

Four national boxing events are listed for 2026-27

The calendar names four national events. Only one has a month, and none has a final venue. That is normal for a calendar published months ahead, but it means you should not book travel yet.

National eventWhoDate listedVenue listed
Training camp for the Asian GamesMen and womenTBDIslamabad
42nd National Elite Boxing ChampionshipMen and womenOctober to November 2026TBD
U-19 National ChampionshipYouth, men and women2027TBD
Inter Department National ChampionshipMen and women2027TBD

The Asian Games camp is still in the table, but the Games ended on 4 October. The calendar was not updated after that, so treat the line as old. Pakistan's results at those Games are in the final Asian Games medal tally.

The 42nd National Elite Boxing Championship in Pakistan listed for October to November 2026

The elite championship is the one to prepare for now

The 42nd National Elite Boxing Championship is the nearest national event. It is open to men and women, and it falls in the same weeks as the federation's other plans. The calendar gives no weight classes, entry fee or closing date.

Entry normally goes through the federation and its provincial or department units, not through the venue. Because the federation has not published a venue, call or write to it and ask three things: the exact dates, the entry deadline and the weight categories.

Departments and clubs that want to send boxers should also note the inter-department event listed for 2027. It has no month yet.

The international plan starts with the Youth Olympics

The calendar lists thirteen international items. The ones still ahead of us are below. Whether Pakistan sends boxers to each is the federation's decision, and the calendar does not name any athletes.

International eventDate listedPlace
World Boxing Championship U-1914 to 27 October 2026Budva, Montenegro
Youth Olympic Games31 October to 13 November 2026Dakar, Senegal
World Boxing Cup25 November to 2 December 2026Uzbekistan
Joint training camps for athletes and coachesJanuary 2027Kazakhstan

International tournamentApril 2027Kazakhstan

The calendar also lists the first and second Asian Olympic qualifiers and the first World Olympic qualifier round, all in 2027 with no date or place yet. Those are the events that decide who reaches the Olympic Games. The Dakar Games are covered with other dates in our check of the next games after the Asian Games.

How a boxer gets onto the list

Selection for national events and for foreign trips is made by the national federation. A club or a coach cannot enter a boxer in an international event directly.

  1. Find the Pakistan Boxing Federation in the list of national sports federations.
  2. Check that the federation and your club are recognised, using the list of non-affiliated sports bodies.
  3. Ask the federation for the dates, venue and entry rules of the 42nd National Elite Championship.
  4. Register through your provincial association or department team, as the federation tells you.
  5. Keep your CNIC or B-form, age proof and a medical fitness paper ready.

Young boxers can also look at the board's talent identification system, which records athletes for scouting.

What the calendar does not tell you

The federation page does not show entry fees, weight classes, prize money, a contact name or a closing date. It also does not say whether Pakistan has boxers at the U-19 World Championship in Montenegro that began on 14 October.

We did not find a federation notice for any of these. Do not trust a social media post that quotes a venue or date until the federation confirms it in writing.
