Pakistan Era Launches 4 Free Loan and Instalment Calculators

Pakistan Era has launched four free calculators that compare loans and instalment plans in Pakistan: a Car Finance Calculator, a Home Loan Calculator, a Bike Instalment Calculator and a Phone Instalment Calculator. Each one shows the monthly instalment, the markup and the real total cost, bank by bank.
Why we built them
The idea came from our founder's own search for a car. Every bank had a different page, rates were written as "KIBOR plus" a spread, and nobody showed the simple answer: how much will I pay each month, and how much extra in total?
Many readers face the same problem with phones and bikes. A plan says "0% markup", but a processing fee can make it cost more than a normal loan. So we read the banks' own rate pages and the State Bank's rules, and put the answers in one place.
The four calculators
| Calculator | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Car Finance Calculator | Monthly instalment, markup and insurance at 11 bank products, Islamic and conventional, for 49 cars. It also tells you which car your salary can finance. |
| Home Loan Calculator | Bank home finance compared with the government's Apna Ghar scheme, with a check against your income. |
| Bike Instalment Calculator | Honda, Suzuki and electric bikes on bank, card and company plans, with fees included. |
| Phone Instalment Calculator | Credit card and store instalment plans, and what a "0%" plan with a fee really costs a year. |
How to use them
- Open the calculator for what you want to buy.
- Pick the item from the list, or type its price.
- Enter your down payment and how many months or years you want.
- Compare the banks or plans. The cheapest is marked at the top.
- Take the bank's Key Fact Statement before you sign, and check that it matches.
Where the numbers come from
Every rate was read on the bank's own product page, rate sheet or schedule of charges on 6 October 2026. The limits come from the State Bank of Pakistan's rules, such as the 30% minimum down payment and the 40% limit on instalments against income for car and bike finance. Where a bank does not publish its rate, the calculator says so and asks you to check with the bank, rather than guessing.
Rates change. Many car and home loans follow KIBOR, which moves with the State Bank's policy rate. We will update the calculators as banks change their rates, and the date we last checked is shown on each one.
Read the guides behind them
Each calculator is backed by a full guide: car financing rates and limits, which car your salary can finance, bike instalment plans compared, phones on instalments compared and whether buy now pay later is worth it. You can find all our free tools on the tools page.
