Pakistan Hockey Schedule 2026-27: Every Match and Event, From Azlan Shah Cup to the Canada Series

We put every upcoming Pakistan hockey date in one place, from the FIH fixture feed, Foreign Office briefings and PHF statements. Each line says how firm it is, because some dates are confirmed by the organiser and some are only announced.

Pakistan play five Azlan Shah Cup matches from 20 November

Pakistan meet Canada, the USA, Australia, Korea and hosts Malaysia in the 32nd Sultan Azlan Shah Cup at the Sultan Azlan Shah Stadium in Ipoh. The FIH fixture feed lists all five games in Pakistan time, from 20 to 26 November, with placing matches on 28 November.

Malaysia is three hours ahead of Pakistan. The full schedule, including the other teams' games, is on our Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2026 schedule. How the six sides compare in the world ranking is on our Azlan Shah Cup teams page.

The squad for Ipoh is still not published

The FIH squad list for Pakistan at the Azlan Shah Cup was still empty when we checked on 7 November. It showed no players and no staff, with a last update dated 7 November. So the names are not confirmed at the organiser's end yet.

Squads usually appear on the FIH page a few days before the first match. Check again around 17 November. We have not seen a Pakistan Hockey Federation squad notice on an official page either, so we have not listed any names.

Pakistan are 12th in the FIH men's world ranking, as our Pakistan hockey ranking page shows. Five matches against ranked sides in seven days is useful practice for a team that is not in the Pro League this season.

The SCO Hockey Tournament in Islamabad clashes with Ipoh

The Foreign Office said on 1 October that Pakistan will host the SCO Hockey Tournament in Islamabad from 20 November to 2 December 2026. That starts on the same day as Pakistan's first Azlan Shah match. The teams for the SCO event were not confirmed in any briefing we read.

The Foreign Office spokesperson said on 9 October that the deadline for responses was the next day. We have not seen a later statement with the team list, fixtures or venue. Our page on the SCO Hockey Tournament has the full record.

One senior side cannot play in Ipoh and Islamabad on the same days. No official notice says which squad goes where. Pakistan could send a second team to one event, but that is a guess, not a fact we read. Treat the SCO dates as announced, not as fixtures.

Canada are due in Islamabad from 8 to 21 February 2027

The PHF said on 17 October that Canada will play a bilateral series in Islamabad from 8 to 21 February 2027. That date comes from the PHF statement as reported. We could not open the PHF's own website to confirm it, so treat it as reported.

The same statement said the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination would help with logistics and security. The number of matches and the venue inside Islamabad were not given. Our page on the Azlan Shah invitation and the Canada series has the details.

A home series would give fans in Pakistan a chance to watch the national side in person. Canada are also Pakistan's first opponents in Ipoh, so the two teams will know each other well by February.

Pakistan are not in the Pro League or the Asian Champions Trophy

Pakistan are not among the nine men's teams in the FIH Pro League 2026-27, the FIH said on 5 August. They are also not in the Asian Champions Trophy 2026, whose six-team schedule the Asian Hockey Federation published on 9 October. That is why the calendar above is short.

The bigger target is the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Pakistan won bronze at the Asian Games, which sends them to an FIH Olympic qualifier, the Asian Hockey Federation said on 6 October. Our page on Pakistan hockey's road to LA28 explains the route.

At home, the PHF said it would start a Schools Hockey League from 15 November with monthly stipends for players, as reported. Our page on the PHF Schools Hockey League has the reported details. Here is how to check any of these dates yourself:

1. Open the FIH website and search for the event name, such as Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
2. Open the schedule tab and switch the time to "Your time" for Pakistan time.
3. Open the squads tab a few days before the first match to see Pakistan's players.
4. For home events, check the Foreign Office briefings or the organiser's own notice.
