Pakistan Squash Calendar 2026-27: Asian Team Championships in Islamabad, 3 to 7 November

The biggest squash event in Pakistan this season is the 23rd Asian Team Championships, at the Mushaf Squash Complex in Islamabad from 3 to 7 November 2026. Before that, the All Pakistan National Women Championship runs in Peshawar from 12 to 16 October. Two more international events follow in Islamabad and Karachi by early December.

We built this calendar from two official documents. The first is the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) calendar for 2026-27, published on the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) website. The second is the Asian Squash Federation's handbook for the Asian Team Championships. We opened both on 9 October 2026.

The Asian Team Championships come to Islamabad on 3 to 7 November

The 23rd Asian Team Championships run from 3 to 7 November 2026 at the Mushaf Squash Complex, PSB, Aabpara, Islamabad. The PSF organises it. There is a men's and a women's team event, and the medal ceremony follows the finals on 7 November.

The handbook gives the dates that matter before the first ball. Initial seedings are due by 13 October, final seedings by 20 October, and the draw by 27 October. Each team can name up to four players and two officials.

The handbook is written for national federations, not fans. It does not mention spectator tickets or entry rules. If you want to watch, ask the PSF closer to the date.

International squash events from October 2026 to June 2027

The PSF calendar lists 24 international events for 2026-27, many of them abroad for Pakistan's juniors. These are the ones still to come after 9 October. Four are in Pakistan: two in Islamabad, one in Karachi and the South Asian Games.

Junior players also have the US Junior Open (16 to 20 December), the Scottish Junior Open (28 to 30 December), the Asian Junior Team Championships in Thailand (23 to 27 February) and the Asian Junior Individual Championship in Sri Lanka (23 to 27 June 2027).

Treat the PSF dates as a plan. The file was last changed in July, and its own Asian Games entry differs from the dates the Games actually used. Check each event with the PSF before you travel.

National squash events left in 2026

The domestic calendar is busy in October and November. Most events are junior championships in Peshawar, Lahore and Karachi, plus the national women's championship and two open events in Karachi.

1. All Pakistan National Women Championship: 12 to 16 October, Peshawar.
2. 5th Khairpur Junior Open: 13 to 17 October, Karachi.
3. Venus ABC Open: 21 to 25 October, Karachi. The Balochistan PSA event follows on 24 to 27 October, venue not yet fixed.
4. Junior championships in November: National Junior, Lahore, 4 to 7 November; All Pakistan National Junior, Peshawar, 16 to 20 November; 5th McDonald's National Junior, Karachi, 17 to 21 November.
5. December: Sindh Open, Karachi, 6 to 10 December; All Pakistan National Junior, Peshawar, 14 to 18 December.

Two events were due this week as we checked: the SSA Copper Event-2 in Karachi (7 to 11 October) and a World Squash Day event in Lahore (8 to 10 October).

Pakistan arrive after an Asian Games silver

Pakistan's squash players come into this season with medals. They won two individual bronze medals at the Asian Games, then took team silver after a 2-0 final loss to Malaysia. A team championship on home courts four weeks later is a real chance to go one better.

We do not know Pakistan's squads yet. The PSF had not named them on the PSB or ASF documents we read, and the ASF's initial seeding with squads is due by 13 October.

How young players can get into squash

Most of the events above are for players already ranked by the PSF. For a beginner, the route starts at a club or a federation centre, not at a championship.

The PSF is one of the national sports federations listed by the PSB. The PSB also runs coaching centres in Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar, and Peshawar in particular has a long squash tradition. Junior players at international events must wear protective eyewear under Asian rules, so buy proper eye guards early.

Are these squash dates final?

No. The PSF calendar is a plan made in July. Confirm each event with the federation.
