Pakistani Passport Fee in Thailand: THB 1,500 to THB 6,000 at the Bangkok Embassy (2026 E-Passport List)
Pakistani passport fee in Thailand: THB 1,500 for 5 years and THB 2,200 for 10 at the Bangkok embassy, e-passport only. Lost fees, papers and how to book.

A Pakistani e-passport at the embassy in Bangkok costs THB 1,500 for a normal 5 year, 36 page passport and THB 2,200 for a 10 year one, rising to THB 6,000 for an urgent 10 year, 72 page book. A lost passport costs about double the first time and about four times the second. Below is the full baht table, a warning about an older, cheaper fee list still online, the papers to bring and how to book.
We read the Embassy of Pakistan in Bangkok's pages on mofa.gov.pk on 6 November 2026. The embassy says it now issues e-passports only, and that machine readable and manual passports have been phased out there. It works by online appointment, Monday to Friday.
Pakistani e-passport fee in Thailand for 5 and 10 years
The Bangkok embassy's e-passport list charges THB 1,500 to THB 4,100 for a 5 year passport and THB 2,200 to THB 6,000 for a 10 year one. The price depends on pages (36 or 72) and on normal or urgent speed.
| E-passport | Normal (THB) | Urgent (THB) |
|---|---|---|
| 36 pages, 5 years | 1,500 | 2,400 |
| 36 pages, 10 years | 2,200 | 3,500 |
| 72 pages, 5 years | 2,600 | 4,100 |
| 72 pages, 10 years | 3,800 | 6,000 |
A 10 year, 36 page passport works out at THB 220 a year, against THB 300 a year for 5 years. That is our arithmetic from the embassy's figures. The embassy says children up to age 15 get a 5 year passport only.

An older Bangkok fee page still shows lower MRP prices
Search can land you on a second embassy page that still lists the old machine readable passport (MRP) fees, starting at THB 1,000 for 5 years and THB 1,500 for 10. Do not budget from that page. The embassy's newer page says the MRP has been phased out in Bangkok.
| 36 pages, normal | Old MRP page | Current e-passport page |
|---|---|---|
| 5 years | THB 1,000 | THB 1,500 |
| 10 years | THB 1,500 | THB 2,200 |
| Urgent, 10 years | THB 2,550 | THB 3,500 |
The old page also has a typing slip in its lost passport table: a first loss of a 36 page, 10 year passport shows THB 6,000, which is four times normal instead of two. The current e-passport table does not have that problem. The wider switch is explained in our page on the MRP stop from 15 October.
A lost passport costs two times, then four times
On the e-passport list, a first lost passport costs exactly double the normal fee and a second loss costs four times. The embassy says a third or fourth loss is charged under the rules after approval from DGIP headquarters in Islamabad.
| Lost e-passport | 1st loss, normal | 1st loss, urgent | 2nd loss, normal | 2nd loss, urgent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 36 pages, 5 years | THB 3,000 | THB 4,800 | THB 6,000 | THB 9,600 |
| 36 pages, 10 years | THB 4,400 | THB 7,000 | THB 8,800 | THB 14,000 |
| 72 pages, 5 years | THB 5,200 | THB 8,200 | THB 10,400 | THB 16,400 |
| 72 pages, 10 years | THB 7,600 | THB 12,000 | THB 15,200 | THB 24,000 |
For a lost passport, bring a photocopy of it, a police report from the local police and your NADRA card. The embassy also asks you to fill in its "Report my Loss" form and print it. Our guide to a lost Pakistani passport abroad covers the first steps and the emergency travel document.

Book online, then bring originals and copies
The embassy asks every applicant to book an online appointment and arrive at the booked time with original documents and photocopies. Your NADRA card must be valid, because the passport system reads its data from NADRA.
- Book an appointment from the embassy's passport page.
- Check that your CNIC, NICOP or Smart Card is valid.
- Bring the card and your current passport, with photocopies.
- For a child, bring the CRC or Smart Card, parents' CNICs and the fee receipt copy.
- Arrive at your booked time for photo and fingerprints.
Bring a separate set of papers for every child, and one parent must come with each child. If the parents are divorced or separated, the custodial parent can apply, or the other parent must consent in person or on attested stamp paper. To change a name or date of birth, change it on your NADRA card first. Our page on changing details on a Pakistani passport explains why.

Five Bangkok rules that catch applicants out
The embassy's page sets out a few rules that are easy to miss, and each can cost you a second visit.
- A first ever passport made in Bangkok is referred to Pakistan to confirm nationality, which adds time.
- Asylum applicants in Thailand are handled under separate rules.
- Phones are not allowed in the passport section, and filming is banned.
- Senior citizens are processed on priority.
- Uncollected passports are destroyed, so collect on the due date.
Only the holder or a blood relative with written authority (parent, sibling or adult child) can collect a passport. The old MRP page gave a timeline of one month for normal and 7 working days for urgent. The e-passport page gives no timeline, so ask when you apply.
The embassy is at 31 Soi Nana Nua, Sukhumvit 3 Road, Bangkok 10110. Phone +66 2 253 0288 or 0289. It says lines are often busy and asks people to email passport@pakistanembassyth.com instead. Saturday and Sunday are off.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the Embassy of Pakistan Bangkok's e-passport page, its older MRP page and its contact page on 6 November 2026. All fees are the embassy's printed figures. Neither fee list is dated, and the e-passport page gives no processing time.
