How to Check Phone Warranty in Pakistan for 7 Brands by IMEI

Check your phone's official warranty in Pakistan by IMEI for Samsung, vivo, OPPO, Infinix, Tecno, Xiaomi and realme, what it covers and why imports miss out.

To check a phone's official warranty in Pakistan, enter its IMEI on the brand's own Pakistan support page: OPPO, realme and vivo have one each, and Infinix and Tecno phones are checked on Carlcare. Samsung and Xiaomi work through their authorised service centres. Dial *#06# to see your IMEI.

We opened the Pakistan support pages of all seven brands on 28 September 2026 and read each warranty policy. Five of the seven give a phone 12 months of cover from the date of purchase, but only if it was sold in Pakistan and you still have the invoice.

That last part is where most buyers get caught. A phone warranty check in Pakistan often shows an activation date, and a shopkeeper's promise sounds like cover. Neither one is the warranty. The brand's policy is.

Where each brand lets you check the warranty

OPPO, realme and vivo each run an IMEI check on their Pakistan websites. Infinix and Tecno share Carlcare, their official repair network, which has a warranty check. We did not find an online IMEI warranty check on Samsung's or Xiaomi's Pakistan pages, so you check through a service centre.

Read the wording on those pages carefully. OPPO calls its tool an "Authenticity And Activation Date Check". realme's page says the final warranty status is "subject to the actual inspection" at its service centre. So a green result online is a good sign, not a promise.

How to check your phone warranty online, step by step

You need the phone's IMEI, a 15-digit number that identifies the handset. Dial *#06# on the phone, or look on the box. Then open your brand's page from the table, enter IMEI 1, and compare the date it shows with your invoice.

  1. Dial *#06# and write down IMEI 1. vivo's page also lists Settings, then About phone, and the box label.
  2. Open the brand's Pakistan support page from the table above. Check that the address is the brand's own site.
  3. Enter IMEI 1 and submit. OPPO asks for the serial number (SN) instead for tablets, earbuds and bands.
  4. Match the result with your invoice date. Twelve months from the purchase date is the usual phone warranty.
  5. If the dates do not match, or the tool finds nothing, take the phone, box and invoice to an authorised centre.
Steps to check a phone warranty online in Pakistan using the IMEI number

The same IMEI is what PTA uses to decide whether a phone works on Pakistani networks. You can check that separately with the IMEI number check in Pakistan by SMS to 8484. A phone can pass one check and fail the other, because warranty and PTA approval are two different things.

What the official warranty covers, brand by brand

Every brand we read covers the phone for 12 months against faults from normal use, with parts and labour free. Batteries and chargers get less at most brands. None of them cover a cracked screen, a drop or water damage, even on a water-resistant phone.

What voids the cover is much the same everywhere. The policies list:

  • Drops, cracks, squeezing and liquid damage.
  • Repair or opening by an unauthorised shop. Samsung says the warranty is void "even if a repair has been attempted".
  • A torn IMEI sticker, or an invoice that has been altered.
  • Damage from a non-original charger or cable.
  • Rooting or other software changes, in the OPPO and realme policies.

OPPO and realme also say a "verbal commitment by dealers" is not a warranty. If the shop promised a replacement for a year, that promise binds the shop, not the brand.

A repaired part keeps some cover of its own. OPPO and realme give a new part the rest of the original warranty or 3 months, whichever is longer. Xiaomi gives the rest of the period or 30 days.

Why a non-PTA or imported phone may have no local warranty

Every brand we read limits its Pakistan warranty to phones sold in Pakistan. A phone bought abroad, or brought in outside the official channel, usually gets paid repairs only. A non-PTA phone is often exactly that kind of import, so expect no free repair.

The exact wording differs a little:

  • vivo: the policy "applies only to vivo produce sold in Pakistan".
  • OPPO and realme: "Products purchased overseas do not enjoy warranty services" at local centres, and you pay for parts.
  • Xiaomi: the warranty "is only valid in Pakistan", with international cover only for some models.
  • Samsung: it limits phone repairs to the country of first sale. A centre here may still help, with a 1 year limit, and refunds only come from the country of sale.
How Samsung, vivo, OPPO, Xiaomi and realme treat phones bought outside Pakistan

OPPO says it runs an international warranty service for selected models, and vivo's page links to a multiple-country warranty. Ask the centre before you pay for anything.

If you are carrying a phone home from abroad, the 60-day PTA rule for phones brought from abroad is a separate question from warranty. Paying the tax makes the phone work on Pakistani SIMs. It does not add a Pakistani warranty. And the PTA tax on your phone is worth adding up before you compare a cheap import with a local box.

How to claim warranty at a service centre

Take the phone, the original invoice and the warranty card to an authorised service centre for your brand. Back up your data first, because every policy we read says the centre is not responsible for lost data. The centre inspects the phone and decides.

Samsung says it has more than 176 authorised support centres in Pakistan, run by third parties. vivo says you can use any of its authorised centres across Pakistan. Samsung's page also suggests putting the phone in Maintenance mode before you hand it over, which hides your personal data from the technician.

Lost the invoice? OPPO and realme will use the more helpful of two dates: three months after the phone was made, or the date on the electronic warranty card. That is a real fallback, but it is still their call.

If a centre refuses a claim you think is valid, write to the brand. vivo lists complaint@pk.vivo.com for complaints. A seller who will not honour what was promised at purchase is a matter for your local consumer court. If the phone is stolen rather than broken, Find My Device is the first step, since no warranty covers theft.

Common questions

How do I check if my phone is under warranty in Pakistan?

Dial *#06# for the IMEI, then enter it on the brand's Pakistan page: OPPO, vivo and realme have their own, and Infinix and Tecno use Carlcare. For Samsung and Xiaomi, visit an authorised service centre with your invoice.

How long is a mobile phone warranty in Pakistan?

Usually 12 months for the phone. Samsung, vivo, Xiaomi and realme give the battery 6 months, while OPPO gives the battery 12 months.

Does a non-PTA phone get warranty in Pakistan?

Usually not free warranty. The brands we read cover only phones sold in Pakistan, and a phone bought overseas gets paid repairs, though Samsung and OPPO may help on some models.

Is a broken screen covered by warranty?

No. Every policy we read excludes cracks, drops and physical damage. Carlcare sells a separate broken screen service for Infinix, Tecno and itel.

Can I claim warranty without the invoice?

Sometimes. OPPO and realme use the later of three months after manufacture or the e-warranty card date. Samsung and vivo say proof of purchase is required.

Does water damage count if my phone is water resistant?

No. Liquid damage is excluded by every brand we checked, whatever the phone's IP rating.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 28 September 2026. We read the warranty policies on each brand's own Pakistan website: Samsung's warranty information and service centre pages, vivo's Warranty Terms and IMEI Authentication page, OPPO's Pakistan warranty policy and Warranty Check, Xiaomi's Pakistan warranty page, realme's Warranty Terms and Warranty Status Inquiry, and Carlcare's Pakistan warranty check and FAQ for Infinix and Tecno. Helpline numbers are the ones those pages list. We did not find a published warranty period for Infinix or Tecno phones on the Pakistan pages, or an online IMEI warranty check for Samsung or Xiaomi in Pakistan. We opened each check form but did not submit a real IMEI.
