The dollar rate in Pakistan on Saturday 7 November 2026 is Rs 276.66 interbank and Rs 278.47 in the open market. These are the closing rates of Friday 6 November, the latest the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has published. Exchange companies bought dollars at Rs 277.31 and sold them at Rs 278.47.
The SBP does not publish rates on a Saturday, and it is closed on Monday 9 November for Allama Iqbal Day. So these figures stay the official reference until Tuesday 10 November. We read the SBP's rate sheet, its customer rate sheet and the open market sheet for 6 November on the morning of 7 November. Below you will find the riyal, dirham, pound and euro, and what 1,000 units bring you at a counter and at a bank.
The open market dollar rate is Rs 278.47 selling and Rs 277.31 buying
The open market sheet comes from the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP), and the SBP publishes it for information. It came out after our 6 November page went live, so these are new figures. The dollar selling rate did not move from Thursday. The buying rate fell 2 paisa.

| Currency | Counter buys from you, 6 Nov | Counter sells to you, 6 Nov | Selling rate, 5 Nov |
|---|---|---|---|
| US dollar | Rs 277.31 | Rs 278.47 | Rs 278.47 |
| Euro | Rs 309.63 | Rs 312.77 | Rs 314.20 |
| British pound | Rs 370.99 | Rs 374.42 | Rs 376.17 |
| UAE dirham | Rs 75.54 | Rs 76.13 | Rs 76.15 |
| Saudi riyal | Rs 73.85 | Rs 74.40 | Rs 74.42 |
The selling rate sits Rs 1.81 above the interbank rate. That gap is the price of buying cash dollars over a counter. Exchange companies sell only limited amounts, and they ask for your papers. The rules are in the open market dollar limit.

The pound fell Rs 1.75 and the euro Rs 1.43 at exchange counters
The big move of the day was in the pound and the euro, and the counters followed the interbank market. The pound selling rate fell Rs 1.75 to Rs 374.42, and its buying rate fell Rs 2.02 to Rs 370.99. The euro selling rate fell Rs 1.43 to Rs 312.77, and its buying rate fell Rs 1.69 to Rs 309.63.
So a family in Pakistan receiving 1,000 pounds from a relative in the UK gets about Rs 2,020 less at the average counter than on Thursday. Somebody buying 1,000 pounds for a fee or a trip pays about Rs 1,750 less. The Gulf currencies hardly moved. The riyal and the dirham changed by 3 paisa or less.
Interbank dollar stayed at Rs 276.66 after ten straight small gains
The SBP's mark-to-market rate for the dollar was Rs 276.6609 on 6 November, down 0.92 paisa from Rs 276.6701. Banks use this rate to value their books. The rupee has gained on ten working days in a row, about 16 paisa in all since 23 October. That is a slow, steady gain, not a jump. Every day of last month is in the October dollar rate history.
| Currency | SBP rate, 6 Nov | Banks buy, average | Banks sell, average |
|---|---|---|---|
| US dollar | Rs 276.6609 | Rs 276.3475 | Rs 276.8044 |
| Saudi riyal | Rs 73.7074 | Rs 73.6260 | Rs 73.7433 |
| UAE dirham | Rs 75.3229 | Rs 75.2437 | Rs 75.3602 |
| British pound | Rs 370.6288 | Rs 370.9967 | Rs 371.6101 |
| Euro | Rs 309.5006 | Rs 309.3503 | Rs 309.8580 |
The full sheet for the day, with the Kuwaiti dinar and the Omani rial, is in the 6 November dollar rate.
Counters paid more than the bank average for dollars and riyals
If you hold foreign cash and want rupees, compare both sides. On 6 November the average counter buying rate was higher than the average bank buying rate for the dollar, the riyal and the dirham. The pound was almost the same at both.
| You change 1,000 | Counter average | Bank average | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| US dollars | Rs 277,310 | Rs 276,348 | Rs 962 |
| Saudi riyals | Rs 73,850 | Rs 73,626 | Rs 224 |
| UAE dirhams | Rs 75,540 | Rs 75,244 | Rs 296 |
| British pounds | Rs 370,990 | Rs 370,997 | Rs 7 the other way |

These are averages from two official sheets, not quotes from any shop or bank. Your own rate will differ, and the amount of money, the bank and the city all matter. Money sent through a bank from abroad is a different case, because it can count towards the Pasban remittance reward.
No new SBP rate until Tuesday 10 November
The SBP's press release of 5 November says it will be closed on Monday 9 November for Allama Iqbal Day. The next sheets are due on Tuesday 10 November. Details are in the 9 November holiday. Exchange counters can change their boards in the meantime, so check the rate before you hand over cash.
You can read every official rate on the SBP website for free. Follow these steps:
- Open sbp.org.pk and find "USD/PKR Rates" on the home page. Check the date beside "As on".

- On the same page, open Weighted Average Customer Exchange Rates for what banks quote on average.
- Open Open Market Closing Exchange Rates for the ECAP counter rates.
