The dollar rate in Pakistan on Friday 6 November 2026 was Rs 276.66 in the interbank market, the State Bank of Pakistan's (SBP) closing revaluation rate. Banks sold dollars to customers at an average of Rs 276.80 and bought them at Rs 276.35.

The rupee gained about 1 paisa against the dollar, its tenth small gain in a row. The bigger move was in the pound and the euro. At the SBP rate the pound fell Rs 2.20 and the euro Rs 1.55 in one day. We read the SBP's rate sheet and its customer rate sheet for 6 November on the afternoon of 6 November. The open market sheet the SBP publishes for the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) was not yet posted, so for counter rates we give Thursday's figures and label them by date.

The interbank dollar rate was Rs 276.6609 on 6 November

The SBP's mark-to-market rate for the US dollar was Rs 276.6609 on 6 November 2026, down 0.92 paisa from Rs 276.6701 on 5 November. Its weighted average of bank customer rates was Rs 276.3475 to buy and Rs 276.8044 to sell, both 0.77 paisa lower than Thursday.

Dollar rate in Pakistan on 6 November 2026, Rs 276.66 interbank

Banks use the mark-to-market rate to value their books, and it is the base for the rates they quote customers. A move of 1 paisa is about Rs 9 on $1,000. The rupee has now gained on ten working days in a row, about 16 paisa in all since 23 October, as the October dollar rate history shows. That is a slow, steady gain, not a jump.

EuroRs 311.0464Rs 309.5006-Rs 1.55
British poundRs 372.8268Rs 370.6288-Rs 2.20

Saudi riyalRs 73.7109Rs 73.7074-0.35 paisa

Omani rialRs 718.5957Rs 718.5717-2.40 paisa

Every major currency in the table was cheaper in rupees on Friday. The Gulf currencies moved by less than 3 paisa, which makes almost no difference to a remittance. The pound and the euro fell much more, even though the dollar barely moved. That means the pound and the euro were weaker against the dollar itself.

The pound fell Rs 2.20 and the euro Rs 1.55

At the SBP rate the pound fell from Rs 372.83 to Rs 370.63 on 6 November, and the euro from Rs 311.05 to Rs 309.50. So 1,000 pounds cost about Rs 2,198 less than a day earlier, and 1,000 euros about Rs 1,546 less.

For a family receiving money from the UK, the bank side matters more. Banks bought pounds at an average of Rs 370.9967 on 6 November, down from Rs 372.8584. So 1,000 pounds changed at the average bank rate brought about Rs 370,997, some Rs 1,862 less than on Thursday. Your bank's rate will differ, so compare it, as shown in checking a riyal or dirham rate against SBP customer rates.

Banks quoted customers Rs 73.63 for a riyal and Rs 75.24 for a dirham

The SBP also publishes a weighted average of the rates banks quote their customers. On 6 November banks bought Saudi riyals at about Rs 73.6260 and UAE dirhams at about Rs 75.2437. Both moved by less than a quarter of a paisa. That is the side that matters to a family receiving money from the Gulf.

For 1,000 riyals, Friday's average bank rate gives about Rs 73,626, Rs 1 less than Thursday. For 1,000 dirhams it is about Rs 75,244. In plain words, Gulf remittances were worth the same on Friday as on Thursday.
