PNMC License Renewal Online 2026 in Pakistan: Fee Rs 3,000, Late and Urgent Charges (Every Category)
PNMC licence renewal costs Rs 3,000, with Rs 600 late and Rs 2,000 urgent fees. See every category's fee, the documents and the five steps to renew in 2026.

The PNMC licence renewal fee is Rs 3,000 for a nurse, LHV, midwife, community midwife or nursing assistant, with a Rs 600 late fee and a Rs 2,000 urgent fee listed beside it. Renewal is due every five years from the date of registration, and you apply on online.pnmc.gov.pk, then post or hand in the printed application. Below is the full fee list for every category, the documents, and the five steps.
The Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (PNMC) licenses every nurse, midwife and LHV who works legally in Pakistan, and an expired licence can stop a job offer or an overseas application. We read PNMC's online fee structure, all 77 entries across four pages, plus its requirements and fee payment pages, on 1 November 2026.

The renewal fee is Rs 3,000 for every nursing category
PNMC's fee table lists the same renewal charge for nurses, LHVs, midwives, community midwives and certified nursing assistants: Rs 3,000 regular, Rs 600 late and Rs 2,000 urgent for local applicants. Foreign students pay Rs 10,000, or Rs 5,000 for a midwife.
| Service (local applicant) | Regular fee | Late fee | Urgent fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Renewal (nurse, LHV, midwife, community midwife, CNA) | Rs 3,000 | Rs 600 | Rs 2,000 |
| Provisional renewal | Rs 1,000 | Rs 600 | Rs 2,000 |
| Registration (nurse) | Rs 3,000 | Rs 600 | Rs 2,000 |
| Provisional registration (nurse) | Rs 1,000 | Rs 600 | Rs 2,000 |
| Duplicate registration card (nurse) | Rs 2,000 | Rs 600 | Rs 2,000 |
| Duplicate card (LHV) | Rs 1,000 | Rs 400 | Rs 1,000 |
| Correction or update by applicant | Rs 1,000 | Rs 600 | Rs 2,000 |
| Pre-registration (student) | Rs 1,000 | Rs 2,000 | None listed |
| Licence examination | Rs 2,000 | None | None |
The table has three columns and does not explain how they combine. Our reading is that the late fee is added when you renew after the due date and the urgent fee is added for faster processing. PNMC does not say so in words, so confirm on 051-9255805 before you pay an extra amount.
Renewal is due every five years from registration
PNMC's rules say renewal is made at five-year intervals from the date of registration, and every registered nursing professional may renew. The due date is on your registration card. Missing it is what triggers the Rs 600 late fee in the table.
If you have lost the card, the free PNMC licence check by CNIC shows whether your record is on the system. A nurse registered in March 2021, for example, was due in March 2026. One registered in November 2022 is due in November 2027. If you need the licence for a job abroad, renew before you request the good standing letter, because the council checks your current status first.
Five steps to renew a PNMC licence online
You start online and finish on paper. PNMC accepts a renewal only when the system-generated application copy and the documents reach its Islamabad office by post or by hand. Faxed and emailed applications are refused, according to its requirements page.
- Scan your CNIC, passport-size photo and, if you are still studying, an attested academic certificate. Each file must be a JPEG under 3 MB.
- Sign up or log in on online.pnmc.gov.pk and choose Renew a license Online.
- Fill the form, upload the scans and print the system-generated application copy.
- Pay the fee at Habib Metropolitan Bank (corporate ID 473) or on a PNMC challan at the National Bank's NIH branch in Islamabad.
- Post or hand in the printed copy with the original deposit slip and the documents.

Two employer rules matter here. A nurse in government service does not need an employer certificate. A nurse in a private hospital must submit a current employer certificate on the day of renewal and be present in person, PNMC's renewal rules say. That second rule catches many private-sector nurses who assume the whole process is online.
Bank drafts and cheques are not accepted
PNMC takes fees only two ways: a deposit into its Habib Metropolitan Bank account or a PNMC fee challan at the National Bank counter in the NIH branch, Islamabad. Its fee page says no bank draft and no cheque is accepted.
The online account number on that page is PK44MPBL9737477140108727, payable at any HabibMetro branch. Write your CNIC on the slip and keep the original, because it goes with the application.
One conflict is worth knowing. The older requirements page on the portal still mentions a Rs 2,000 demand draft from the National Bank. We have followed the fee page and the online fee table, which agree with each other: the table shows Rs 3,000 and the fee page refuses drafts. If the bank counter questions you, show the fee page. Nurses who also need a degree attested for a job abroad usually do the HEC degree attestation online at the same time.
The October 2026 fee revision is for institutes, not nurses
PNMC notification F-11-Admin/2026/1106 of 19 October 2026 raised fees, but only for nursing institutes. Individual registration and renewal charges in the online fee table did not change. Nurses renewing a licence pay the same Rs 3,000.

The council approved the new schedule at its fifth session on 23 September 2026, with immediate effect from the notification date. For institutes, the application processing fee is now Rs 200,000, each degree programme Rs 500,000, each diploma programme Rs 150,000, each inspection Rs 500,000 and recognition Rs 300,000.
| Institute fee | Old figure on PNMC's apply page | Revised, 19 October 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Application processing | Rs 50,000 (diploma), Rs 100,000 (degree) | Rs 200,000 |
| Per degree programme | Not listed | Rs 500,000 |
| Per diploma programme | Not listed | Rs 150,000 |
| Inspection | Rs 150,000 | Rs 500,000 |
| Recognition | Rs 100,000 | Rs 300,000 |
PNMC's "Apply for License" page for institutes still showed the old figures when we read it on 1 November 2026, so go by the notification. Students choosing a college can weigh this against the fee of a recognised programme such as Fazaia College of Nursing's BS Nursing.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read PNMC's online fee structure (four pages, 77 entries), the portal's requirements and procedures page, the fee payment page, the institute "Apply for License" page and the notifications list, including the scanned notification of 19 October 2026, on 1 November 2026. PNMC does not state how the regular, late and urgent columns combine or how long renewal takes, so we have flagged our reading as ours and given no processing time.
