PPSC Final Result 2 November 2026: 45 Recommended for 8 Punjab Posts, Every Post and Revised Merit List

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) announced final results for 8 posts on 2 November 2026 and recommended 45 candidates to the Punjab government. Senior Registrar Paediatric Medicine alone took 25 of them. PPSC also posted 7 revised merit lists the same day, which matter if you were next in line behind someone who refused to join.

We read all 8 final result notices and the complete merit lists on ppsc.gop.pk on the evening of 2 November 2026. Below you will find every post, how many were recommended, the quota seats left empty, and how to check whether your name is on a list.

PPSC recommended 45 candidates for 8 posts on 2 November

The 8 results cover four Senior Registrar posts in the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, a jail post, a climate centre post, a Ring Road Authority post and a Rs 500,000 a month software job. Each notice is signed by PPSC Secretary Afzaal Ahmad and dated 2 November 2026.

The previous batch, on 8 October, was much smaller. That round's eight recommendations for six posts shows how uneven these days are. One large medical post can swing the total.

Five quota seats stayed empty for lack of candidates

Four of the medical notices say quota posts went unfilled because no eligible candidate was available. In total 5 seats stayed vacant: 3 for special persons and 2 for minorities. These are not lost forever, but they are not filled by this result.

The Paediatric Medicine list shows how quotas work in practice. Most of its 25 names sit under open merit, one is marked against the women quota and one against the special person quota. Seven revised merit lists name new candidates

PPSC issued "first revised merit lists" for 7 older cases on 2 November. A revised list appears when a recommended candidate refuses to join, resigns or is relieved, and the next person on merit moves up. If you were close to the cut on any of these posts, open the list today.

We opened the Bhakkar coordinator list as an example. It names one new recommended candidate, one who failed the interview, and one who "refused to join or resigned". That is the pattern to look for in yours.

Nobody was recommended for Data Analyst BS-17

The complete merit list for Data Analyst (BS-17) in the Punjab Higher Education Department's Planning Information and Reform Unit, case 21B2025, shows 0 candidates recommended. All three candidates who reached the interview failed it. That post stays empty for now.

This happens more often than people expect. Clearing the written test only gets you to the interview, and PPSC does fail candidates there. The interview documents trip up many people too, so read what to bring to a PPSC interview well before your date.

How to check your name in a PPSC final result

Final results and complete merit lists sit on two separate pages of ppsc.gop.pk. Results show only recommended names. Merit lists show recommended, failed and refused candidates, so a merit list tells you more about your own position.

1. Open ppsc.gop.pk and choose Results, then Final Recommendations.
2. Find your post by name or case number, for example 16D2026, and open the PDF dated 02-11-2026.
3. Search the PDF for your application number, which is printed after the merit number, as in 1/64500013.
4. For your full standing, open Final Recommendations, Complete Merit List, and find the same case.
5. Get your marks later from the detailed marks page using your CNIC.

PPSC releases marks through its detailed marks certificate service, not in the result notice. A recommendation is also not an appointment letter. The department issues that after its own checks, such as medical fitness and verification.
