Short answer: On 8 October 2026 the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) posted final results for six posts and recommended eight candidates in all. Two were for Assistant (BS-16), two for Assistant IT, and one each for Junior Psychologist, Software Developer, Sub Engineer (Mechanical) and Subject Specialist (Physics). Written results for three more posts followed on 5 and 12 October.

We read all six final result notices on 13 October 2026, each on its own PDF from the PPSC Final Results page, and the Written Results page for the three newest entries. The page lists only results from the past year, so these are current entries. We leave out candidate names. They are on the official notices.

All six notices are dated 8 October 2026. Each says the named candidates "have been recommended to the Provincial Government for appointment". Four of the six posts are on contract for three years. One is a regular post, and one is for five years.

TEPA is the Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency of the Lahore Development Authority. The Physics post is reserved for women, which is why its one name sits under the women quota heading.

Both Assistant seats went to quota candidates

The Assistant (BS-16) notice shows no open merit heading at all. Its two names are under the special person quota and the minorities quota. A quota heading above a name shows the candidate was recommended against a quota seat.

The same notice shows low merit numbers: 1 for the special person quota, and 2 for the minorities quota. Do not compare merit numbers across notices, because each notice has its own list. The columns are explained in the guide to reading a PPSC final recommendation notice.

Written results on 5 and 12 October lead to interviews

PPSC's Written Results page shows three new entries. A written result is not a final result: it is the stage before interviews, and candidates who qualify move on to them.

  1. 12 October: Junior Scale Stenographer, BS-15, Board of Revenue (disaster management), regular basis, case 64G2025.
  2. 5 October: Child Psychologist, BS-17, Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, Home Department, contract for three years, case 8B2026.
  3. 5 October: Child Psychologist (Female), BS-17, same bureau, same terms, case 4B2026.

We did not read the qualified counts in these three PDFs, so we do not give them. Open the case PDF to check your roll number. When interviews are set, they appear in the PPSC interview date list for October 2026.

PPSC stages from written result to interview to final recommendation

How to check a PPSC result on the official page

Use the PPSC site only. Go to the Final Results page for recommendations and the Written Results page for test results. Each row has a case number you can match to your application.

Five steps to check a PPSC final or written result
  1. Open the PPSC site and choose Results, then Final Recommendations or Written Results.
  2. Find your case number, such as 16J2026, in the list.
  3. Open the PDF and look for your application number.
  4. Read the quota heading above your line.
  5. If you are not listed, ask for your marks with a DMC.

The steps to get marks are in the guide to getting your PPSC Detailed Marks Certificate. The 56 Audit Officer result of 6 October is a separate notice and is not counted here.

What these notices do not tell you

The notices do not give an appointment date, a joining date or the pay figure. They are a recommendation to the Punjab government. The department issues the offer, so a candidate should watch for its letter and not for PPSC.

They also do not list candidates who were not recommended. If your name is missing, you cannot tell from the notice whether you narrowly missed or were far from the merit line. Only your DMC shows that.

Common questions

How many candidates did PPSC recommend on 8 October?

Eight candidates for six posts: two Assistants, two Assistant IT, and one each for Junior Psychologist, Software Developer, Sub Engineer (Mechanical) and Subject Specialist (Physics).

Is a PPSC recommendation the same as a job offer?

No. It is a recommendation to the Provincial Government. The department issues the appointment, and the notice gives no joining date.

What is the difference between a written result and a final result?

A written result lists candidates who passed the test and move on to interviews. A final result lists those recommended for appointment after interviews.

Why does the Physics notice show only women?

The post is reserved for female candidates only, so its single name is under the women quota heading. Open merit does not apply to that post.

Where do I see a result officially?

On the PPSC website, under Results. PPSC's own page says its official site is the sole authoritative source for results and notices.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 13 October 2026, Pakistan time. We read the PPSC Final Results page and its six notices dated 8 October 2026, and the Written Results page for the entries of 5 and 12 October. We did not read the qualified counts in the three written result PDFs. The listing also shows other final results from 30 September that we did not open.
