Check Your PPSC Punjab Prisons Interview and Typing Test Dates, 12 to 23 October 2026
PPSC has set interviews for Punjab Prisons jail posts from 13 to 23 October 2026 and typing tests for two clerical posts. See each case, date and station.

Short answer: The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has set interviews for jail posts in the Punjab Prisons Department between 13 and 23 October 2026, all in Lahore. It has also set English typing and proficiency tests for two clerical posts in the same department, from 12 to 15 October and from 19 to 22 October. Find your case number below.
Five cases from the department are on PPSC's schedule this month: 7B2025, 1B2025, 2B2025, 1B2026 and 2B2026. They look alike in a list, so the number is the thing to match.
We read the PPSC Interviews, Exams Schedules and Written Results pages on 12 October 2026. The interview list is "tentative", and PPSC tells candidates to keep visiting the website.
Three jail posts have interviews from 13 to 23 October
PPSC lists three jail posts of the Punjab Prisons Department for interview, all in Lahore. The Lady Assistant Superintendent post goes first, on 13 October. The Assistant Superintendent post has the longest run, five days.
| Post | Case | October dates | Station |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lady Assistant Superintendent Jail (BS-16) | 2B2025 | 13 | Lahore |
| Deputy Superintendent Jail (BS-17) | 1B2025 | 15, 16 | Lahore |
| Assistant Superintendent Jail (BS-16) | 7B2025 | 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 | Lahore |

Lady Deputy Superintendent Jail, case 8B2025, is not on the interview list on 12 October. Its written result was announced on 30 September, so its interview date may be added later. We have no date for it.
The written stage for these posts closed on 30 September
The interviews follow written results that PPSC declared on 30 September 2026. The Assistant Superintendent Jail result is described as "Phase-II", with an open merit quota of 86 posts and a minority quota of 4 posts.
That result page gives post counts, not the number of candidates who passed, and we do not state a pass mark because we did not find one on the pages we read. Only candidates called by PPSC sit the interview. The list is not an open invitation to turn up.
The same date, 30 September, appears on the written results for Deputy Superintendent Jail (1B2025), Lady Assistant Superintendent Jail (2B2025) and Lady Deputy Superintendent Jail (8B2025). To check a result and the detailed marks, see the guide to getting a PPSC Detailed Marks Certificate by CNIC.
Two clerical posts have typing tests on separate weeks
Two other posts in the department are at the English typing and proficiency stage. The Junior Computer Operator test (case 2B2026) is listed for 12 to 15 October, and the Junior Clerk test (case 1B2026) for 19 to 22 October. Both start at 10:00 am.
| Post | Case | Dates | Time on the PPSC page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Junior Computer Operator, English typing test and proficiency test | 2B2026 | 12 to 15 October | 10:00 AM onward |
| Junior Clerk, English typing test and proficiency test | 1B2026 | 19 to 22 October | 10:00 AM onward |

"Onward" means the sessions run through the day. The page does not say which day or hour is yours. The page also does not say the required typing speed or the venue, so we do not state them. Your letter, SMS or email carries those details.
How to confirm your slot and what to do if nothing came
PPSC's Exams Schedules page tells candidates to confirm their status if they have not received intimation by website, SMS and email. It gives a UAN, 042-111-988-722, and an office number, 99202761-62, and asks candidates to do so at least 3 days before the exam.
- Write down your case number from your application or roll number slip.
- Open the Exams or Interviews page under the Schedule menu at ppsc.gop.pk.
- Find your case number and read the dates.
- Check your letter, SMS and email for the time and place.
- If nothing has arrived, call the UAN or the office number at least 3 days before your date.

Only use ppsc.gop.pk for this. Fake websites copy the PPSC look, and a guide to checking the real PPSC website shows how to tell them apart.
What to prepare before an interview day
PPSC's eligibility sheets for each case list the original documents it asks for, and they warn that candidates who conceal information will not be allowed to appear in the interview. A candidate who is called should carry the originals listed for the post.
The common items are the CNIC, which must be valid, the matric and intermediate certificates, the degree and its detailed marks certificate, the domicile certificate and, for government employees, the departmental permission. The full list varies by post, so read the sheet for your case. The reading steps are in the guide to PPSC eligibility and job description sheets.
The same Commission lists all 21 October interview entries on one page, which is broken down in the schedule of PPSC interviews from 13 to 23 October.
