The Punjab Rural Municipal Services Company has four contract jobs open in Lahore for its rural water supply and sanitation project: Chief Operating Officer, Senior Manager Procurement, GIS Specialist and Assistant Manager Programming. All four were posted on 7 October 2026 and close on 27 October 2026. Pay runs from Rs 200,000 to Rs 800,000 a month.
We opened the Punjab Job Portal at jobs.punjab.gov.pk on the night of 7 October 2026 and read each of the four job pages in full. The numbers below are the ones printed on those pages. We did not apply, and we did not log in.

Four contract posts in the Punjab Rural Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Project
The employer is the Punjab Rural Municipal Services Company, under the Local Government and Community Development Department of the Punjab government. The project is called the Punjab Rural Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Project. All four posts are in Lahore and all are contract posts with one seat each.
The Chief Operating Officer page says the job includes working with the World Bank, the provincial planning board and tehsil councils. That tells you the project follows donor rules, which matters for the procurement post in particular.
| Post | Pay per month | Level | Experience asked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chief Operating Officer (Operations) | Rs 790,000 to 800,000 | PPS 11 | 10 years, 5 in similar projects |
| Senior Manager Procurement | Rs 560,000 to 570,000 | PPS 10 | 8 years, 4 in similar projects |
| GIS Specialist | Rs 400,000 to 410,000 | PPS 09 | 8 years, 4 in similar projects |
| Assistant Manager Programming | Rs 200,000 to 210,000 | PPS 07 | 3 years |
Qualification for each post
Each post asks for a 16 year degree. The subject depends on the job, and the portal says the degree must be in the listed field. Read your own degree title against the line below before you spend time on the form.
The Chief Operating Officer needs a Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or Public Policy, or an engineering degree with a Master's in Business Administration. The page also asks for 10 years of general experience in public administration, project management, public sector governance, infrastructure or engineering projects. Five of those years must be in similar projects. For an engineering degree, experience counts from the day you finished it.
The Senior Manager Procurement needs a Master's in Procurement and Contracts Management, Business Administration or Project Management, or a BSc in Engineering. You need 8 years in procurement and bids administration, with 4 years in similar projects. The page lists skills in procurement under PPRA rules and under donor guidelines such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. If you need a primer on that rulebook, our notes on PPRA blacklisted firms show how the regulator works.
The GIS Specialist needs a Master's in GIS or Space Sciences. The page asks for 8 years in GIS mapping, MIS and database work, with 4 years in similar projects. The work is to build a map based database of water, sanitation and waste systems in the target tehsils.
The Assistant Manager Programming needs a BS or BSc in Computer Science, IT or MIS, with 3 years in programming and ICT. The job covers software, network hardware and dashboards that show progress of civil works in the project cities.
Age, domicile and other conditions
The age range printed on all four pages is 18 to 60 years. Both men and women can apply. The pages do not mention any quota.
Domicile is required. The note on each page says so and points to the Punjab government's doorstep service on 1202 for people who do not yet have one. If you need the paper, applying for a domicile certificate online is the first step, and it can take days.
The employment status is contract on every page. We did not find a contract length on the pages we read. We also did not find an application fee. If you are asked to pay anything, ask the helpline on the portal first.

The first-time setup has its own traps, and we wrote them down in the notes on registering on the Punjab Job Portal. Do that before the last week, not on the last day.
What we could not verify
The job pages show a link called View Advertisement. It opens a picture of the printed advertisement. We found no tender style details, such as a test date or an interview date, on the pages. The company has not said how it will shortlist.
We also did not find the contract length, the number of working days, or any benefits on top of the monthly figure. The pay shown on the pages is a range of about Rs 10,000, for example Rs 790,000 to 800,000. We do not know where in that range you would land.

Our notes on applying for government jobs online cover documents to keep ready, such as degrees, experience letters and your CNIC.
