The Punjab matric supplementary exam, which the boards call the SSC second annual examination 2026, starts on Tuesday 6 October 2026. Class 10 papers run from 6 to 16 October, Class 9 papers from 17 to 28 October, and practicals begin on 30 October. Roll number slips are already on the boards' websites.
We read the date sheets of the Lahore, Gujranwala and Multan boards on 3 October 2026. All three use the same theory dates. Rawalpindi's admission notice gives the same start date of 6 October. Only the reporting time and the practical days change a little from board to board.
If you have not filled the admission form yet, you are too late. The single fee window closed on 19 August, and the last late window in Rawalpindi closed on 25 September.

Key papers on the Class 10 date sheet
The first Class 10 paper on 6 October is Education in the morning and History of Pakistan in the evening. English comes on 7 October, Mathematics on 12 October, Physics on 14 October and Chemistry on 16 October. Each of those runs in two groups, morning and evening.
The two group system matters. For English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, half the candidates sit the paper in the morning and half in the evening. Your roll number slip tells you which group you are in. You cannot switch groups on the day.
- Tuesday 6 October: Education (morning); History of Pakistan and History of Islam (evening).
- Wednesday 7 October: English (compulsory), first group morning, second group evening.
- Thursday 8 October: Pakistan Studies (morning); elective papers (evening).
- Friday 9 October: Tarjuma tul Quran and Ethics for non-Muslims (morning).
- Saturday 10 October: Islamiyat (compulsory), old scheme (morning).
- Monday 12 October: Mathematics and General Mathematics, both groups.
- Tuesday 13 October: Biology and Computer Science (morning); languages and other electives (evening).
- Wednesday 14 October: Physics, both groups.
- Thursday 15 October: Urdu (compulsory) (morning).
- Friday 16 October: Chemistry, both groups, and General Science.
Some elective papers fall on different days in different boards. In Multan, for example, Geography is on 14 October, while Lahore and Gujranwala hold it on other days. Check your own board's sheet for any elective.

Paper times and reporting times differ by board
Morning papers start at 9:00 am in all three boards we checked. Evening papers start at 2:00 pm, but at 2:30 pm on Fridays. Reach the centre at least 30 minutes early. Gujranwala asks candidates to arrive by 8:10 am for the morning paper.
| Board | Morning paper | Evening paper | Friday evening |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lahore | Arrive 8:30 am, starts 9:00 am | Arrive 1:30 pm, starts 2:00 pm | Arrive 2:00 pm, starts 2:30 pm |
| Gujranwala | Arrive 8:10 am, starts 9:00 am | Arrive 1:10 pm, starts 2:00 pm | Arrive 2:00 pm, starts 2:30 pm |
| Multan | Arrive 8:30 am, starts 9:00 am | Arrive 1:30 pm, starts 2:00 pm | Arrive 2:00 pm, starts 2:30 pm |
Paper length depends on the subject. Gujranwala's sheet lists 2 hours 30 minutes for most papers, 2 hours for science papers, 1 hour 30 minutes for skill subjects, and 3 hours for the 100 mark Pakistan Studies and Islamiyat papers.
Roll number slips are online now
Punjab boards have put the second annual roll number slips on their own websites. In Lahore, private candidates use slips.biselahore.com and search by form number, roll number, or name and father's name. Regular students usually get the slip through their school.

We opened the Lahore slip page on 3 October. It is titled for the Secondary School Certificate Part I and II second annual examination 2026, for private students. Rawalpindi links its slips at slips.biserawalpindi.edu.pk. Follow these steps:
- Open your own board's homepage, not a link forwarded on WhatsApp.
- Click the roll number slip link for SSC second annual 2026.
- Enter your form number, or your previous roll number, or your name and father's name.
- Check your name, photo, subjects, group and exam centre.
- Print two copies and keep one at home.
The slip shows your exam centre. That is the only place you can sit the paper. If anything on the slip is wrong, such as a missing subject or the wrong group, go to the board office before 6 October. Do not wait for the exam day.
Lahore and Gujranwala both say some slips are issued "provisionally". If your eligibility has a problem under board rules, your result can be cancelled even after you sit the paper. Gujranwala tells such candidates to contact the board office as soon as the exam ends.
Rules inside the exam centre
Mobile phones are not allowed inside the exam centre. Bringing one, copying or misbehaving can lead to action under board rules. Lahore also bans white fluid and correction markers. Calculators are allowed in the matric exam, according to Gujranwala's sheet.

- Carry your roll number slip every day. You will not be allowed in without it.
- Do not use a lead pencil for objective answers or practical notebooks.
- Sitting a paper for someone else, or sending someone in your place, is a crime under the impersonation law.
- If you miss a paper for any reason, that paper is not held again for you.
If you lose your slip, Lahore's sheet says you can get a duplicate from the board office after paying the set fee at the bank branch inside the office. Do this a day or two before your first paper, not on the morning of it.
When the result is expected
None of the three boards has announced a result date for the second annual exam. We checked the Lahore, Gujranwala and Multan websites on 3 October and found no result notice. Practicals end in mid November, so the result can only come after that.
When it is out, the method is the same one used for the annual result. The steps for each board are in checking board results online. A second annual pass counts the same as an annual pass on your certificate. If the new result card carries a wrong name or date of birth, a result card correction goes through the same board.
Students in federal schools sit a different exam. The FBISE matric second annual date sheet runs on its own dates, from 24 September.
